Finally got to 867. Same guys kept hitting me again and again, 2-3 hits a person. Would win 24, then come out to see I lost 35, then win 20, lose another 35.

Trying to get through the 800 range is a real pain. Once I at least have one 141, maybe it will help a lot.

I've run into more OBW's than I expected...but controlled by the AI they are a terrible combination. Too often the AI prioritizes Illusions over Agressive Recon. Loki is such a weak three star character as it is. If Illusions did some sort of damage in addition to potential matches he'd be slightly better.

Probably people using obw so their under leveled Loki's don't die to match damage I imagine.

Yep. I was running OBW/Patch and I was doing well, but I realize recon was a no go.

Beee - I'm enjoying watching you and slobofix square up. Good luck trying to get past!

I'm just trying to ride your coat-tails for a bit of entertainment, although annoyingly in the 1 second between claiming the 1200 reward and hitting the shield button I got hit for 44 so back to 1171. And the retal even wiped the node I had with reckless saved for when she's worth points later. Don't think there are any real targets outside our bracket at the minute

After 4 turns I knew I will regret that. Then Hood stole 1 red from me and BANG! OBW is dead due to LR red. Dammit!
2 turns later - I manage to kill Hood. Start gathering green and black.
Call of the Storm - Loki at 200hp, Patch at around 500.
Berzerker Rage.
Trickery.
Finally, the turn before LT could launch thorns and have another CoS, I got 5 purple. Illusions. match5. game over.

Exciting fight, one wrong move here one more turn there and I would lost.

I love those epic squeakers! Nicely played.

Normally Hood/LT would be plenty scary, but I neglected Loki in favor of finally getting IW to 230. So I'll have to play this one for a few crazy runs plus some strategic shielding. People see my puny god and want to attack. At least Hood tanks black for him.

Oh, I just saw your team in one of my nodes and I found it sufficiently scary.
I suppose I'm not as much curious as Emeryt!

Btw I believed that it was more quiet to climb 24 hours before the end but I meet many forumites with 3* teams actually.
And I'm only around 600 pts... everyone has to start somewhere I guess.

My team of lvl120 Patch + OBW wasn't scary enough and I was hit for almost 300pts, ending at around 320pts. Started climbing my way up and at I just couldn't get past 700 - the attacks kept on coming.

So I changed OBW to Punisher. Easily climbed above 900, then shielded. Then got attacked and won for 14pts.

Feel free to attack me in the next couple of hours.

I'm running the same team Patch / OBW. OBW is definitely not scary enough but it's so convenient to heal during fight.
Now I might follow your example and switch OBW for a tougher guy... then off to bed.

Managed to queue you a few times while you unshielded so dragged myself up towards 1300. I'm going to set myself the challenge of beating slobofix too - just for fun!

I was sick of my 2* team and I'm not in 3* range yet, so for **** and giggles I'm running level 31 mStorm and level 61 mThor. Loki is unleveled but has 2 in Illusions. I've only been playing Desert node. Matches take forever, but it is quite amusing taking down 3* teams that never move after the third turn. Eventually I'll get serious and run my mains again, but for now I've been having a lot of fun and this is doing a lot to eliminate the feeling of constant grinding.

The change in mmr makes things a lot more competitive.. It s war out there.. I climbed up to 1100 pts to be hit harshly for 40-45 a game.. Only 85+ teams from the start.. It took forever to climb the ladder.. I take a break for the next 8 hours or so.. And make my push for 1200 pts tomorrow morning.. You can hit me atm..

I made it to 1000 with minimal push back, I was a bit surprised by that. Decided to throw up a shield and of course the second after I'm shielded I get attacked twice...it's funny how that works.

And I must say, the Patch and Loki combo can be devastating...Berserker Rage followed by Trickery is brutal...thankfully maxed Lazy Thor has enough HP to take the damage.

For the moment the top 5 in our season bracket looks quite nice too...nice work so far!

Oh yeah, you pretty much can never let them take a turn again or you'll quickly be running for health packs. Often the chain goes off just one turn away from me getting my nose rubbed firmly in the dirt - which is part of the fun!

For those talking about running into so many OBW's - I must admit to being one of them...

My reasoning is simple - I don't really have a choice quite yet. Until I can get any of my 3* players up to speed, I am basically "stuck" with "the standard" 2*Thor-OBW combo.

I'm there with ya, man. Except I don't have the Thor. Other options present themselves though, thankfully.
