This Game Isn't Fun Anymore

Stop spending money and play casually. Waste of time and money and since time is money its adding insult to injury. Quit trying to beat the system by buying health packs and covers. You're literally getting set up and paying for it lol it's called a long con and this is the eye of the storm. Build your trust and toss you a few easy covers and wins then throw you a game changer just to see if you're actually dumb enough to not notice the pattern and keep paying.0

I agree that people should stop spending, but please dont use the old 'time is money' argument, it's ridiculous and it doesnt apply unless of course you would normally be getting paid for what you do in your free time in which case it isnt really free time and you shouldnt be playing a game, you should be working.0 -
I've been playing every day for six months now, and while I still think this is an original and enjoyable game with great graphics and even some storyline thrown in, I find the recently implemented MMR a huge annoyance. Just now, for the current Magneto event (my Magneto, buffed, is lvl 75, and I use to lvl 100 chars to go with him), I was getting such impossible match-ups (frequently 212/141/141) that I had to intentionally lose 7 (!!) matches until I got more or less equal teams. Why punish successful players?0

During season one I took a hiatus and returned dialing back my competitiveness because I was unable to commit enough time to get what I wanted out of the game. The casual game has been more enjoyable than the punishing level of competition. But it still is not enough, I enjoyed collecting new rewards and I enjoyed playing the game well. I can still play but I get so much less of a rewarding feeling from the game now that I have chosen to stop losing sleep over it.
The game makes you choose.
Spend the time it takes to compete and reap the rewards
Or
Play at your own pace and accept that there are no significant rewards coming your way
There is no middle ground. There is no medium rewards for medium effort.
Competitive stole too much time from me so I switched to casual, and causal just isn't as fun as I want it to be. Can someone remind me why I am still going through the motions?0 -
I've been thinking about this issue and I think the game has two extremes. You're either super duper hardcore, or you're some casual finishing #250, and the guy finishing #103 is someone who thought he was super duper hardcore but was not and likely wasted a lot of his time.
There needs to be what's equivalent massive show of force, so that people who are not really in the super duper hardcore category can give up. In the past, all PvP/PvE give you a lot of false hope, but in the end most people are not super duper hardcore and only 10% of the people can finish top 10%. That in itself is okay but people wasted a lot of time due to the game's system and still have nothing to show for it. I think Prodigal Sun is a good example of how the game should be played. It is pretty obvious if you're nowhere in the top X after a few days, and then you can actually take it easy instead of still grinding like crazy only to fall to #103 at the end. PvP has the same problem. There's no point to show that you could be #15 if you're just going to lose 200 points five seconds later. There has to be something that lets people know they shouldn't be wasting their time anymore if they're not that hardcore.0 -

I asked recently on the forums if it was worth it to lvl past lvl 85 the 3*. The logic says it is, a lvl 100+ 3* should be better than a 2* 85, the problem is that at soon as I've reached lvl 100 with punisher and lvled a couple of 3* to 95 I'm suddenly facing 3x141... ****? I was fighting against equal teams, I was 2x85 + the feature at diferent lvls, and I was going against 85-100x3 I was fine with that, It was dificult some times, but ok. Now I can't advance anymore. Yesterday I tried to finish Starfall but couldn't do even 200 points, I started seein 3x141s.
I took a look at magnetos event and more of the same, it seems S2 ended for me. I reached the 10 tokens rewards, so I won't even bother trying to top if I get 3x141s, I'll try to get some covers for my punisher and save ISO until I can get him to 141, maybe then I will be able to compete again.0 -

Agreed. I spent some time looking at a game to replace MPQ on my phone and came up short. Some have mentioned Puzzles and Dragons, but I fear that it would end up similar to MPQ. It's hard to find a f2p game that offered what MPQ did in the beginning.0 -

They need to offer something that's really just PvE, similar to the prologue. It took me a long time to beat pre nerf Ragnarok at level 110 with my 2* but a chance for 50 HP is pretty good for the challenge involved, and you don't have to worry about people smacking you silly while you're trying to beat him. Some kind of week or month long PvE event with HP buy off would allow people to play at their own pace without worrying about the crazies.0 -

Remember this one?
Just spent 10 minutes playing one PvP match. It cost me 10 minutes and 2 health packs (so more like 80 minutes!), and I was rewarded with 100 iso. Here's how PvP plays out now...
1. Find match you outclass, after skipping of course.
2. Proceed to handily beat said team until you're 3 or 4 turns from escaping without harm.
3. Match has gone on so long it's been impossible to deny everything.
4. One last enemy A.I. with 1500hp left smacks you for 7 or 8k.0 -
Great thread from last year. Thanks for the bump. Same problems then and now.0
