4 Star Rocket and Groot ("Grocket")
    4 Star Gamora
    Medusa

Grocket's Welcome to the Team is one of my favorite powers - with Gamora added in I can do 2K+ match damage.  When Grocket is boosted, this jumps to ~5K match damage.  Medusa's Entanglement just keeps adding to the hurt.  Matches don't last too long with these three but Gamora's cheap Entanglement makes it go even faster by stunning a couple of opponents, giving you the extra time to wipe them out without too much trouble.

This team dominates both PVE and PVP.   The three easy nodes  in PVE can be wiped out in one to three rounds depending on if you get cascades - making it essential for speed runs.  The team also does wonders in PVP since you start off doing so much damage right from the start.  Peggy Carter's Legendary presence used to be super annoying but this teams' passive abilities easily take her out in a few short rounds.

All hail the mighty Grocket, Gamora and Medusa strike team!

At least for current Galactus challenge, champed 4* Rocket and Groot, champed 4* Wolverine, and the new Ghost Rider.  It is a Galactus killing machine!  So much damage so quickly the I rarely even get to use the penance stare because big G is down before he can do any damage.  Works forany other mode too, just switch out GR for whatever character is required...

I can't help but think about when the Galactus event was introduced for the first time and people on the forums where discussing on how to beat the boss. The Devs took our hints and changed the event so those strategies wouldn't work anymore, resulting in an almost unbeatable event and the all time favorite quote 'you're supposed to lose'.

    New King PIng
    4* Star Lord
    Cloak & Dagger

Main damage is King Ping black, C&D for black and yellow AP gain.
Star Lord provides countdown tiles for KP and you can either use SL purple or KP (prurple->) yellow to create multiple for KP team damage, or use yellow for C&D team damage or special tiles removal. On top of that, SL can bring a punch with his red if countdown tiles are around, while making powers cheaper, for cheap damage C&D purple. A flexible team with lots of synergies you can use as the situation requires and fun to play!

    1* Hawkeye (5/5)
    2* Black Widow (3/5/5)
    3* Storm (5/3/5) or 1* Storm (5/5/3)

This team is for missions with only goons that cannot move the board. It is a fun challenge to see if you can do it without taking any damage, even if you have other more powerful characters already. With some luck, it is even possible to beat Galactus with this.

Black Widow's anti-gravity device buys more time to deal with the countdowns. Storm's lightning strike and mistress of the elements are great for shaking up the board and clearing away countdowns, while also generating bonus AP. Hawkeye's arrow stab is excellent at clearing countdowns especially you wait for multiple ones to appear on the same row.

Hawkeye's take aim is where the fun is at. Study the board to find ways to place a crit tile that forms a match 4 or 5. It causes way more damage than you'd expect from a 1* character, and can also clear away countdowns & generate AP at the same time. Use it with purple or blue tiles to also benefit from Black Widow's espionage passive attack.

Save up enough black AP to use Storm's hailstorm 2 or 3 times in a row. This will flood the board with your attack tiles, and prevent the enemy from placing more countdowns. Watch out because this will interfere with Hawkeye's take aim.

    4Thor  -5/3/5
    IM40  - 5/3/5
    Star Lord (4*) - 5/5/3

IM40 collect yellow and get blue/red AP.  Star Lord passive yellow makes 4Thor's powers cheaper and purple overwrites pesky tiles.

4Thor - Use blue to stun and red to destroy. Red/blue/yellow tiles are charged becoming a vicious feeding cycle. Stunning helps damage mitigation in most matches and  4Thor is color dominate, she takes most damage, you  only need one health pack for her since other two rarely take damage. Good for PvE and PvP.

Well my fave team 4 star Iceman 553. 3 star iron Man 5/3/3 Punisher 3 stars 535...

Your primary to get color is in this order, Yellow(to activate iron man recharge), Blue(Iceman freeze), Green(iceman green), Red(Punisher) then black(punisher). So the strategy with this combo is generate lots of blues, Greens and reds via Ironman 3 yellow recharge then when enough use Iceman green first for massive team damage, then use blues to inflict freezes and damages then if any of the enemy is left standing, Punisher reds for coup de graces. Also the player has to calculate carefully to down opponents with the Punisher red, I like to use a calculator for this one.

    Carnage 5/4/4
    Medusa 5/5/3
    Mr. Fantastic 5/3/5

This is the Dread One's (that's me) favorite team. It is nigh-unstoppable on offense (the Dread One has never lost with this team) and fearsome on defense (it scares most pathetic mortals into skipping past them). It is effective against goons as well as the insufferable superhuman beings of planet Earth.

Carnage gets the ball rolling by spamming many attack tiles, which Reed and Medusa can put to great use for healing and AP generation. He also provides the main chunks of offense with his red and green attacks.

Medusa is the backbone of the team, passively healing and generating AP. If the opposing fools like to generate strike or defense tiles, she simply steals them with her purple which also serves as an excellent board re-arranger when the battlefield isn't suitable.

Mr. Fantastic keeps his fellows safe with his blue, stunning enemies and creating fortified defense tiles that withstand great punishment. His passive heal supplements Medusa's so health loss is never an issue. But Reed can go on the offensive as well, using his wondrous Imaginaut which deals insidious damage while matching AP to feed Carnage so the maniacal symbiote can deliver the coup de grace.

My current fave, worked well in the Luke cage 4 PVP.

    Luke Cage 4 star  553
    Iron fist 4 star 553
    Elektra 4 star 535

Strategy centers on getting as many friendly special ties on the board then using Luke cage yellows, iron fist greens to wittle down the opponent. Elektra purple to create enhanced strike tiles.  So in priority sequence colors to get Purple(Elektra), yellow(Luke cage), Red(elektra), Green(iron fist), Blue(Iron Fist), Black(Iron fist). Strategy is getting enough elektra purple so that you can activate elektra purple when the enemy brings out  special tiles (at least 2), The yellow to hit with great damage. Elektra red to steal enemy colors and do damage, the Iron fist green for great damage, then Iron fist blue (to get enhanced strikes tiles which are protected then cycles back to Luke cage yellow), the more protected freidnly tiles you get the stronger in magnitude does Luke Cage yellow become. Iron fist black I only use it to destroy the last opponent or to take out an opponent targetted character who is about to activate a strong power.  I found this combo really works well vs. an enemy luke cage 4 or enemy characters who like to generate use attack, shield, and strike tiles. Also works good for your enemy damage combo without the special tiles.

    Medusa 4 star 355
    Wolverine 3 star 535
    Scarlet with 3 star 355

Priority purple(medusa), Green(wolverine), Red(wolverine). Player has to be careful and patient, accumulating Purples and enough Wolverine green and red, then the player has to have enough purple to activate the medusa purple but first activate Wolvie Greens and Reds first then activate medusa purple to convert upgraded stolen enemy strike tiles Scarlet wtih is there to generate purple.

    3 star iron man 535

Priority color in order yellow(iron man), Red(blade), Green(blade), blue(coulson) , black(blade), Purple(coulson), team up(for coulson purple power). Activate iron man 3 yellow ASAP, get as high reds as possible, hit hard with blade green , use Coulson blues when iron man yellow countdowns are out. Blade black to generate more reds and destroy enemy strongest colors. then Coulson purple to possible make Iron man yellows or friendly countdowns faster to activate.

    Riri Williams  (4/5/4)
    Spider Woman (5/5/3)
    Iron Man 40 (4/4/5)

Aka: the Riri Williams training wheels protocol. Being new to the superhero scene, Riri heads out with mentors Tony Stark and Jessica Drew to take on any threat. This rainbow team offers a wide variety of offensive and defensive options that will Rock opponents. Iron Man focuses on support by using his Recharge to fuel all three of Riris powers and allows you to shake the board, charge tiles and blast opponents (both for damage and to send em airborne). Spider Woman's got her allies back with Seeking Redemption, blocking even the most powerful attacks with flair. She also takes advantage of the distraction provided by the armored duo to use her To Love or Fear to lay some nasty traps and clear the board of enemy special tiles if need be. If Riri gets in trouble, Stark can swoop in and also throw down some damage. This team is strong, flexible, and reliable. Use it...if you want to win!

    5 * Spider-Man(peter parker)
    4 * Venom(agent venom)
    4 * Spider-Man(miles morales)

Spider-Man themed team having rainbow active colors. Miles passive generates blue red purple. Purple is a good nuke and generates spider tiles for 5*spidey moves. Venom is a good yellow black user to finish the team, add a cheap skill(black) and an aoe. Yummy spidey damage.

Because why does the other team need to be playing the game too? The mighty battery bird stays out of harm's way and fuels your fun while a combination of free rocket rides and snowman building keeps the other team out of the fight until the fun gets out of hand and people get hurt...

4* Rocket and Groot level 275
    4* Mesusa level  297
    3* Iron fist level 241

This team is great for getting through the early levels on PVE with R and Gs welcome to the team , Iron fists exquisite technique and Medusa's entanglement.

after my first attack minimum damage is 2305 which really speeds up getting through 4 fights on each node.

Also when the fights get tougher Medusa's heal can bring you back a ton of health points and I really love R and Gs don't touch that button power.

    4* Venom (Eddie Brock) 5/5/3
    4* Medusa 4/5/4
    4* Gamora 3/5/5

This team generates AP fairly quickly, as it floods the board with weak enemy protect tiles which medusa can match away for AP gain. Once you get a few turns in, you have any number of options such as:

    1. keep adding strength 1 enemy protect tiles so Venom can hit hard with his green and yellow
    2. stun lock almost any character with Gamora's 6-AP Incapacitate (AP generation courtest of Medusa), or else finish of an opponent with a well-timed Deadliest Woman;
    3. Hair Meddle all the 1-strength enemy protects to become 200+ protects for yourself which when matched heal your whole team.

Loads of passive damage if you keep matching Medusa's tiles to generate Attack tiles, and using Gamora's black to add more strike and attack tiles.

Loads of active damage when you use either Venom's green (which should about 7 AP most turns) yellow (which will be boosted by the plethora of enemy protect tiles) or Gamora's red.

This combo floods the board with both ally and enemy special tiles which assists both medusa and Venom, and Gamora can keep everyone down until the finishing blow.

    5* Wolverine 5/5/3
    4* Captain Marvel 5/5/3
    4* Wasp 5/5/3

Step 1: Gather 6 blue for Wasp. This even works against Peggy.
Step 2: Gather 5 yellow for Wasp or 8 black for Carol. Wasp's blue will help, as will Carol's green.
Added bonus: No blue actives to dilute Wasp's effect.
Step 3: Fire Wasp's yellow or Carol's black. OML adds in key strike tiles.
Step 4: Hilarity ensues, as match-3s eventually do thousands of points of damage.

Note: You could easily swap out OML for 2* or 3* Daken or 3* Blade.
