I unshielded for 1 fight to go from 780 to 800 points. Got hit for 160 points, put shield up, lose another 20 points. Only 3 nodes worth of people who attacked me on the screen. Anyone have any idea?

Edit: NVM I'm just guessing when you shield you stop being able to see who else attacked you, so I had 3 red nodes and shield and skipping one just gave me a new fresh node. Also apparently I just showed up in everyone's brackets at once, I'm still getting attacked. In the course of 1 match (10 min or so), I showed up in 40+ people's nodes.

Good timing. I had only one guy through the whole tournament attacking me (not counting one for +8, probably tanking), but this was persistent, like 5 or 6 runs. With 7k health hulk, mstorm and 55ish OBW in desert on my 2x as big team. And from above. I was happy to bash back in under 2 minutes with patch/mags every time and gain 32+ points from the 18 lost. Even tried different teams, pun/mags, hood/mags then reverted to simple, he kept coming for more beating. Then eventually he lost giving me +36, and guess got more other beating too as points showed under 635 from earlier over 700+. while I was really just resting at 550 and was neat 700 almost exclusively from him, maybe 2 other games just to reset the special team.

mstorm rocks in desert, but trivial to beat I'd certainly not go for dogfights and shield up on first chance before getting noticed.

And your post made me curious about my own bracket - the highest hulk in my admitted uncompetitive bracket I think is an 85 unbuffed. I'm 1st with 1k+ with everyone else in the 600-800 range. Through no great leap of logic - high level buffed hulk good for competitiveness/low level not so good.

Also, I may have inadvertently given 5DV a leg up when I attacked DJ theophilus and got the dreaded "MPQ has stopped working" message on my pc... So.. sorry SHIELD, you're welcome 5DV.

You could always find one of us and tank a match to even things out.

My bracket has only two Hulks over 100 (mine and the player in 8th). Most are in the 50s and 60s. 2-7 are all over 810 points, and 9 and 10 are above 750.

Ok so what the hell is going on with mmr? Was battling 85s and even slightly below, and all of the sudden I'm seeing only 100+ teams no matter how much I skip.

3rd time in a row. And no it's not my mmr as I specifically raised it in lrs and was fine until the end fighting people around my level

I got curious too and checked my bracket's top 10 hulks. Ranges from 136 down to like 50, with only 3 people above 100.

Personally I find Hulk almost a nonfactor in this event. He doesn't do enough damage so the only deterrent is his high health.

No, but the lucky skunk has 3 green GSBW covers. 175 days in and I cannot say the same.

I shielded before dinner while still fighting 2* rosters in the upper 900s. I suspect that the 3* cover award will be sneaking up to 1300 sometime soon.

10 min for one match is a helluva long time. That's more like 2-3 matches..maybe even 4 1/2 depending on some lucky cascades.

I went from 1-918 with nary an attack...kinda wonder what they changed. Scores are a good deal higher too. That is only good enough for top 5, heck, top 10 by the end might end up being 900.

Yeah, the fact that a match for me takes 5-10 minutes really hurts in this situation. I don't know i I just play too conservatively (collecting purple and blues for OBW to simultaneously shut off opposing OBW) or my team is just not quick enough (usually 85 OBW and 85 AWolvie), but it seems like I get throttled by all the hard/quick hitting teams and can't make it up fast enough.

I shielded at 762 in 5th in mine with Shamusyeah (yay for a S.H.I.E.L.D crazy in my bracket) in first at 1133 with a good 226 point cushion. Maybe it will be easier to get a few points later when all the big guys have gone past and won't see me on their radar anymore (like soenottelling who whacked me earlier )

edit: For those who were collecting this information earlier (NorthernPolarity et al.) - right now with 45 minutes left alliance #100 is at 11330 - it's pretty volatile though

Same thing happened to me. Guess that's what I get for waiting until the last hour. All I saw was level 85+ teams and I don't even have a single level 85 yet. And when I'd go and win a fight, I'd come back with multiple big point loses. I couldn't even get to 600 when normally I cruise to 700 with ease before I see any major retaliations.

Was about to hit you and then I thought, "if I skip there is a 90% chance Knock3r comes up." And sure enough, for the 4th time. Actually got him queued up a 5th time but didn't need it (was being chased by a ferret).
