No. I'm not shooting for her, just a good score. I can re-spec from 4/4/5 whenever I get a blue since I have no plans to sink iso into her anytime soon. I'll be mainly iso farming and pop a shield last near the last half of the day.

I've only ended one match without a Sniper Rifle finish so far. Having a high level GSBW in this event is a complete game changer, it's almost like having Pam's bum zappers. I am going for the Blue IW in this one, and it's going to be fun.

This tourney is really Daken's tourney. Who I don't have.

I was trying different comps and they are fun, but I went through health packs really fast. And since I had HP to spare, I went through that too in order to get more health packs. Which I also went through quickly. I knew OBW was my crutch but geez. I tried Spidey and the AI keeps a deathgrip on yellow tiles so that only lasted two matches.

I'm kind of bummed because I really really wanted to play Grey Widow, Doctor Doom, IM40, or Daredevil but AI says nope. It doesn't help that I'm facing fully maxed Lazy Thors when it's not Daken...what up, guys, he hasn't been out that long.

Things are going to get really ugly once gold Daken is out. It taking me forever to level these 3 stars.

I would maybe probably shoot for GSBW green at 1100 pts seeing as how it could be my 4th, and I have another green GSBW incoming in Daily rewards, but I don't have the ISO to level her when I have other higher priorities (cMags, Hulk, Patch, Psylocke)... Time to collect dust again after this tourney, unfortunately.

Oh and maybe I get the 5th cover in this week's hero LRs.

Daken is the only character I don't have on my roster, and I just crossed 1,000. I primarily have used Fat Thor, GSBW, and either Classic Mags or Black Panther. Fat Thor/GSBW have great synergy with his yellow and her purple both spawning green. Used Mags for board control with red/blue or Panther for his black damage (amplified with his yellow), and it worked great. Oddly, the most common teams that beat me on retaliations were usually MN Mags/Storm -- classic or modern -- combinations. It does suck to lose 50 points when 173 GSBW and 141 Fat Thor/Classic Mags get taken down by 23 GSBW, 62 MN Mags, and 50 Modern Storm.

Yeah, I can see how daken might be useful for this tourney, however, I'm not sure if I want to waste iso on him when a lazydaken is coming soon.

I already tossed like 30k getting GSW up to a reasonable level (and accidentally put her purple past spidy)

I'm seeing a lot of Dakens which is great because they are only level 69 and they don't have any powerful offensive moves. I'm having the best luck with Spidey/Thor/GSBW. Spidey and Widow's purple synergize well and Spidey's stun prevents Daken from firing off on green matches. I've been leaving Daken to last as the sniper rifle wipes him out. If he gets too many strike tiles out, I just pick them off with Wifow's red.

Hulk is also a good counter to Daken as he tanks well and really, really wants green. If Daken gets enough strike tiles out to hurt Hulk, then Anger is activated granting more green.

Anyone running non-Spidey teams for this tournament? And if so, who?
Spidey is necessary for some of those ridiculous 230 PvE nodes, but I feel like he's way too slow for PvP so I'm looking for some examples of teams you may be using.

Side note... always fun to see the leader 200 pts up with me with all 2* characters...

Punisher and Hulk. I have only 1blue in Spidey. But Pun and Hulk work really good, especially in ny MMR.

I'm using Ares and Daken; my Spidey still sucks. If I decide to do a big push this evening (which is a maybe) I may swap out a bunch of people; my varsity squad is up to 15 people at level 81 and I want to start taking advantage of it.

Spidey is waaaayyyy to slow and doesn't deter anyone from attacking - at least not anyone with a decent roster.
Running Black Panther / Hood during the day when I just float around waiting for retaliations, and CMags / Patch for when I actually plan on getting a few fights in quickly.

The only time I'd bring in Spidey is when I absolutely have to beat people with maxed LT and BP in the last fights before shielding when it doesn't matter how long the fights take.
But doing more than 3 fights this way is an invitation to end up with fewer points than when you started because retaliations will be coming in hard and fast.

Daken is an insta fight for me. If I see an enemy Daken I immediately click fight because he's only useful in the 2* game.

He's level 69 with zero offensive abilities.

It's all about perspective. I got a yellow bagman from the event token. A red widow looks pretty good from my vantage point.
