lol - I was always so scared of ET. We owned the movie and I could never watch it after the first couple times. I guess it was more the guys in Hazmat suits and ET all pale and white looking that scared me, but I just couldn't watch it anymore.

I turned 40 this year. I wonder what the average age is in our alliance and playing MPQ in general. I was never really a comics kid. I don't think they were as common over here. It was really the Marvel Cinematic Universe which got me interested.

*lol* I was too - hell, as a young child I was petrified of Yoda too. Something about little people in latex, I guess... if it was skyscraper-tall and capable of devouring Tokyo we were cool, but if I was eye-level with it? Kill it. Kill it with fire.

Good on ya sir, congratulations! I'm starting to wonder myself now - I figured I was the old man around here... good to know I have at least SOME shared life experience with my allies! Yeah, I've heard about those Marvel UK reprints before - don't know a lot of details but like you said, probably wasn't as prevalent there as being able to walk into any grocery store, pharmacy or bookstore (in my childhood) and stumble across any number of titles. My brother was my introduction - I learned to read from his old, well-worn copies of Detective Comics and the few copies of Amazing Spider-Man bought for me that young. Once my folks saw me learning through them, then copies came out of the wood works... and the collecting began. icon_e_wink.gif

34 here. I suspect that the forum subset of this game (and subsequently the Alliances built here) probably skew older than one might initially guess.

The kids weren't listening to us anyway, they never do.

Waiting to see the second guardians of the galaxy trailer today.

*lol* Sorry gents, it was date weekend in my world so I had to sneak matches in around the fringes... can't let the old lady down, her vengeance is furious and absolute. icon_e_wink.gif

And yes, the young folks are officially scared off... by a feature of the aged we should have seen coming:

I hardly need to see the trailer to know I am going to see a marvel film. That said I think the new guardians of the galaxy trailer looks good.

Sentry looks like a really disappointing character, common colours and abilities which damage him or the whole team. Its a shame as I do like PVE and having the dark avengers boosted is a nice change.

as disappointing as he may be ... i'll still probably find a spot for him on the squad icon_e_smile.gif

between him and Fury I think I'm gonna have to jettison poor old Moonstone (or C Hawkeye, or maybe even MBW, who is basically just there for nostalgia at this point)

why not just add another roster slot?

well I have enough HP for one, but not two. I guess by the time Sentry rolls around maybe I'll have enough. Each spot is 450 for me, pretty hefty.

yeah my collector mentality has me saving for roster spots like crazy, holding out also on the fact that someday even bad characters may be useful. yeah at those levels it's quite a while for me to save as well. at least 3+ events unless i get a couple lucky daily or cover pulls.
  • Hello

If you're OK I want to join your team. I've got Punisher 141 hulk 115 and black widow 100 and much more 3 and 4 stars between 50 and 70. I m connected from europe and I play at less 5 times a day.

Tell me if you agree. Thank

Just to chime in, there are a lot of us old dudes playing the game. I'm 38 and I'm a super hero, cover collecting, match 3, Marvel junkie and I don't care who knows it.

You guys happy with your placement in season 1? How should we approach season 2 you think? Just keep on doing our usual and try for top 100 in each PvP and it'll sort itself out or are you guys feeling pretty burnt out? I don't usually mind the PvP actually cause I can play at off times and shield. PvE is actually causing a little bit of pain cause of the precise time frame you have to play, but I'll keep trying my best.

I think for the most part it was great. The only one that we really missed was that last event and really barely. I think just keep doing what we are doing and take breaks if we need to. Foremost though I really think more communication would be good to keep spirits up!
