  • If we're going the Oprah, everybody-gets-a-SIG route, I'd like to request mine reflect the depth and sincerity of my emotions (as earlier posted, just the punching bears part):

I think it is fair to say the game is having one or two issues at the moment.

Y'see, that's the problem with the friend zone... much like skydiving, you don't know you're in trouble until it's too late.
  • BTW, this is how I feel playing PVP right now:

You guys are all awesome. Thanks for keeping it fun even when the game is sometimes not. Appreciate you guys a lot.

That's all I came to say this time. Carry on (or y'know grind on icon_razz.gif).

Coincidentally, I've watched the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man a couple times now the last few days (it's on Netflix) since my son (2.5) has been on a big Spider-Man kick. Thankfully this game has gotten my 4.5 y.o. daughter talking a little more about Marvel superheroes and a little less about Disney princesses (although there's still tons of that), so that's a nice bonus.

That's a win in my book... my nephews are big comics fans, which is awesome for my brother and I as we grew up massive fans (myself a Marvel zombie, he more a DC cat) but it's such a different world. In the early 80s when we were kids, you got Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends or Challenge of the Super Friends and that was about it on TV or film; now everywhere you turn, comics culture has saturated the pop culture landscape. It's incredible when kids today can debate the strengths/weaknesses of Spectacular Spider-Man vs. Ultimate Spider-Man when in my childhood I'd watch Spidey on The Electric Company and be captivated at just seeing a comics character outside of a printed page... it's truly a beautiful time to be a comic geek. icon_e_biggrin.gif

nah, maybe if you HAD kids in the early 80's, but not being a kid then. I'm 31 - you can't be more than 40-45, that's not that old - but maybe round here...

Right there with ya brother - I'm 35, my brother 40... but like you said, likely AARP-level around here. *lol* Sometimes I FEEL like I'm 45 but alas, that's just the bourbon talking. icon_e_wink.gif

Either way, old enough that the best comic book game of my childhood was:

lol - my younger brother and I played the **** out of Maximum Carnage for the SNES. Was pretty fun, and actually fairly hard. The Captain America & Avengers arcade game was pretty fun too, but we joked that it always said "America needs your quarters" (I think it said "help" not quarters) since you would play like 1/2 a level and it would ask for more money. Anyway, older brother is 35 so I grew up with some of the older stuff too.

*LMAO* Yes. Yes he did. Just like I always knew he would.

I DO remember my very young reaction to the following Electric Company question though:

    I would $#!€. I would $#!€ my pants.
