Getting back in the groove. Wasn't feeling it for a bit but nothing like some Frank to get a girl back in the mood. Mystwalker and I managed to get in the same bracket for both SHIELD and Season 5. He plays more than me but I'm a lot faster - both in device and playing style.

I am excited about the upcoming DD pvp since I seem to be the only MPQer that likes him. I am going to re-spec him to up the blue since they changed his pink. The secret to DD is to make him your lead and saturate the board with his tiles. His red is low cost and does a huge amount of damage. Thing is - you can't just put out one or two tiles and then whine when they aren't matched. I would like it if he were less squishy but I do play him regularly. Do not play him with Daken. However, if you play him with Hulk, the tiles can switch to green which can make it harder for the other team to avoid your tiles.

I've watched the Matrix trilogy a few times in the past week. I like them better with every viewing. I love Agent Smith. Here's the thing that I noticed - Captain America is faster than Neo. Just to make sure I watched Winter Soldier while I was working yesterday. Definitely faster.

I love DD. I just don't think he's that good so I don't use him. If I had unlimited amounts of iso, sure I'd max him, but other characters get priority.

Matrix is one of my fave movies. I watch it everytime it comes on tv. 2 and 3 are a bit odd, but they do grow on me slowly but surely. I think my biggest beef is the decentralization of characters. There's just so many to keep track of and they don't have as indepth character development. I'm also not too fond of some of the actors. The new oracle was quite dissapointing. I also kinda missed Tank.

@SGa. Is everything okay with you? We notice that your scores for past few pvp has been lacklustre .. let us know if you're away or busy or something..

@waku and @faerie. DD and his reds is very fun to play .. sometimes you know that AI will match the red traps and you'd be all smiles!! . His health is rather squishy though.. And I've not thought to focus on flooding the board with his traps. Maybe that will work as a strategy. .bring someone big to tank his Red and blue and start flooding the board.. lazy Cap comes to mind..

My nickname "Killa Bees" serves 2 purposes. 1st, my last name is Beese, so it's virtually the same. 2nd, I'm a hip hop fan and I really like the Wu-Tang Clan, which has a lot of references to Wu-Tang Killa Bees in their songs.

I like most any tabletop board game, many card games (especially tichu), but my biggest passion is Dungeons & Dragons. I've been playing for 25 years as a Dungeon Master and have built my own campaign setting that we've played in for over 1000 game years.

My favorite 3 match characters are Thor (he's just awesome), Grey Suit Black Widow (she compliments him well), and my 3rd spot is open for hire. Currently I use the Punisher there a lot since I have him maxed, but I'm thinking I'll get Psylocke up next to round out the black/blue tiles and have a power for each color. I'd love to try Falcon out, I think he's pretty cool, but he's a little further behind at this point.

I don't have a pet at the moment, our miniature schnauzer died last year and with a 3 year old in the house, we're waiting until she's a little older to get a new dog. We're dog people (I'm terribly allergic to cats). My wife actually started a schnauzer rescue, so we've fostered a lot of dogs over the years as well.

I'm from the United States, living in North Carolina. I grew up in Kansas (flat & boring), so I'm loving it out here.

I'd say if you're going to bring Super Cap, use his moves instead of Daredevil's. They just work so much better.

Killa - I grew up in Virginia with family in North Carolina. I spent a lot of time there as a child - from the Outer Banks to the Smokeys. I love living in California but there are some east coast foods I miss . . . like real NC barbeque.

Characters like DD are disadvantaged in a PVP. When you boost squishy characters it puts them out front to take the damage. Offensively he is very good. If you have 2 hidden red in a match, it will knock out two characters. The stun is great - especially against OBW who is out there matching blue. A couple of times, Hulk's black has turned a red tile green and then Hulk matched it and killed himself. I'm playing DD with Spidey and Hood or Spidey and Super Storm.

Who's keeping count of the number of pets in our alliance? we don't have any bears so far, that may lead to a stare with a CareBear..

@Yu-Tea.. hopefully Destiny won't take up too much your time. we need your points from PVE.

@Killabees.. I've not been to the US East Coast, only to West Coast; but I have been hearing from a lot of people that East Coast has a different feel than the West Coast. I suppose from what Faerie is saying.. the cuisine is something that the East Coast has different than the West Coast.

@dante.. Lazy Cap didn't work so well in DD PVP for me. In the end I brought in the big guns, LazyThor and BP. quite a few defensive wins.

For this Balance of Power PVP, I plan to use Classic Storm, Venom (yeah!) and Ares.. comments? any other combinations that you find works well?

I recently changed my Patch from 4/4/5 to 5/3/5... and my gawd.. he's a monster in PVE, for both enemy and my team.
The strike tiles are awesome. OBW espionage' double dips are excellent.. but she's prone to an attack after that.. my healthpack has been mainly used on OBW.

I just read the CMag changes ... far from thrilled since he has been my lead character for months ... I understand their reasoning but I LIKED being able to control the board.

Given the complete recast of the character -- let's face it, the "old" Magneto is being retired and replaced with a much different character with the same name and face but little else in common -- I suggested in the general forum that it would be fair to offer current players a one time chance to swap covers within the new character.

So if you have the old character configured with full covers for red and blue, you would have the chance to shift say one cover each to purple. For example, someone configured as 5 Red, 5 Blue, 3 Purple now will convert to 5 Red, 5 Yellow, 3 Purple after the nerf -- that person could elect to reconfigure to 4 Red, 4 Yellow, 5 Purple.

Actually, I think this should be standard policy after any major reconfiguration of a character.

It will take some playing with the new character to figure out how useful it will be ... and could be that it will work out for like it did with Spiderman ... after the double nery for SPidey, he went from being a very frequently selected character to an occasionally used specialist.

The essence of each character in mpq is in the color that it has in defense/attack/support. Changing the color combination of a character changes the character completely.

Personally. . I wasn't expecting a complete reconfiguration of his color from blue-> yellow and purple->blue. I kept him at low level for months for anticipation of the nerf. And recently (around a month) my relationship began with him in earnest as I started pumping iso into CMag. Alas.. It is not meant to last.

CMag reconfiguration for me made him redundant. I need a guy to use purple independently and now only deadpool fits the bill (at a much more expensive cost of 14 AP which is in match 3 game means 5 matches. GSBW supports green proliferation..but by itself not a big threat (if you're not facing lazy Thor at the same time).

Yah. This change sucks big time.

When this update goes live my play style is going to suffer a lot. Classic Magneto is a very big piece of my game. I've started leveling lazy Thor lately so I may not be too off but I'll have to find a new way to play for sure. At least they're nerfing Dakken a good amount too, and modern Hawkeye and 4 star Wolverine are getting much needed boosts.

Oh and DG85, I should have your signature for you tomorrow. I went yellow orange in color after the professor's wheel chair. It'll get easier to mimic fritejay's style as I do it more. Keep an eye on your in box.

I want to let everyone know that although I'm really angry with this stupid game right now, and although I have school coming up, my competitive nature will not allow me to play casually, and since I don't hate it enough to quit, I'm still going to be playing as hard as I can. Now, the as I can aspect is what is going to change - I have three classes that will take up a lot of my free time, so I will have to be more strategic from now on. If I'm not pulling my weight in an event and more is needed from me for alliance placement purposes, please feel free to let me know and I'll prioritize that particular event. Otherwise, I'm just going to be a bit more picky which events I really go all out on.

I can't imagine how competitive the mpq and the follow up pvp.

Sorry for being away lately...Work has been crazy. Two of the five people who work in my section are on leaves of absence.

Dante, DG's sig is fantastic! The colour is amazing. Congrats!

Jan's ten pack didn't yield any usable covers. She got 4 3-star covers, but she had them all.

With CMags' nerf coming out, we think everyone's PvE scores will drop a bit. Jan always plays with him.

They needn't destroy CMags, by the way. All it would take would be to increase the cost of his moves. I hope they don't gut him like they did to Spidey. I wonder who is going to stop Sentry, Hood and Daken with Mags gone.

Jan's been liking Hood a lot lately. Do you guys play with him?
