Well, after losing ALL battles in round 6, I managed to get to round7 and get one Peggy's cover. And that's it. I wont playe this event any longer. In fact I might not play MPQ more this weekend, I am exhausted, I am not playing this game, I am fighting against their stupid design options, I am tired...

It really does though. I'm not debating that you're getting tough scaling, we all are. However being a 3* (or even strictly 4 with no high 5's) gives you OPTIONS! I have a 454 SS/435 OML/390 PHX. Round 7 I'm facing a Banner with 105k! ONE HUNDRED tinykitty K HEALTH! I can't use winfinite. I can't deny AP with Hood or Loki, I have three tinykitty characters I can use, who get wiped every tinykitty time! (Except once, extremely lucky board). Three shots at it and I'm out of Health Packs. That's not even mentioning the unlock nodes against three 350+ level heroes just to unlock the boss. I understand your frustrations, but don't act like you understand ours.

I have said this over and over again but Devs dont listen. All PvE events are super unfair for 5 players. We just can use 2-4 different chars (this is how it is for most of us, maybe just 1% of players has all 5s covered), we dont have any options to build our roster, and because getting 5 covers is so damned hard we are stuck like this for months. 5s are very good, but 450 4s are better! (It is not bad against goons, 2s and 3s, but when the scaled enemies are 4s, it is super unfair)

Basically the best rosters in the game are the ones who have the hardest times. So utterly STUPID.

In this event looks like, 3 rosters and 4 rosters, in that order, are the ones wit 'best' options. All have a rough time, but 3 rosters seem to have the best chances, which I must say makes no sense. In any other game, the better your roster the better your chances, but not in this game.

Something changed on the first reset for round 8. On initial round 8 run, phoenix was still OP but i was managing and cleared it 5 times. After reset there was a noticeable change that pretty much ended matches turn 3. There is no real counter. If the board starts with 5 or more red, you're dead by turn 3. If less, you'll be dead by turn 5.

Maybe they're hoping if it falls off the first page that people will let it go. Maybe our feedback is upsetting someone.

Just another example of something they've done that's disrespectful to the playerbase.

If you spent your entire weekend playing a broken event and are now mad it's impossible to clear it's kind of your own faults at this point. It's broken and they told you they had no intentions of fixing it.

So we should keep bumping this thread. This event is just awful. I got to round 7 and after wiping on banner 5 times (3 after his first move) I'm done with this tire fire.

At least I got a jump on unstable ISO and already have my ten pack from PVP so my points are there for anyone that wants them.

I got to round 4, got ripped apart a couple of times, and stopped playing the event. It wasn't worth the time. What a disaster for D3 etc.

That's the kindest way of saying it.

People kept sticking their hands in the fire and saying 'hot' over and over.

I hit round 8 last night and stopped.

I like hard challenges. I'm ok with losing. I'm not ok with losing on turns 1-3.

The banner mechanic that was worst in 7 was that he generates green when he converts. So he makes green, cascades everywhere, converts, makes green, cascades everywhere. Then I get one turn before the smash comes because he's usually got about 15 green.

I don't need to explain what's wrong with phx.

First "Alliance" event that I didn't achieve the personal progression, and I was off by ALOT.

So I wonder if the data that they have accumulated for this event reveals how many of the MPQ player base are masochists.

For the difficulty curve, this should've been a MULTI 5☆ prize event. CW1/2 was much easier and had potential to earn 4 5☆ covers. All this? For a 4☆ ?

I just wanted to add that I think one of the things (in retrospect) that bothered me most about this event is the fact that you didn't REALLY play it as an alliance. Additionally, every post and description of this event prior to its launch made me assume we would be. Yes, I knew we'd be competing for who did the best, but I assumed we'd all be hitting the same score target, just like any other boss fight. As a result, I was shocked to learn about 24 hours in that I and various other alliance members were on different rounds.

Therefore, if there's a next round, I would like A) to have the whole alliance be hitting the same score target (like normal boss events) and B) more importantly, however it works, communicate that better to the players.

True. Has anybody reached the 1200000 to get the 25 CP? Any of the people that have completed round8 maybe?

Nobody in my alliance has reached the mark, and by a long margin! We have been robbed of the chance of getting the CP.

We should all get 25CP and one Peggy cover as compensation for this horrible event

Vcorsac has 1.4 million AND the hidden Peggy Red progression covers at 1.4 million as is being said on Line PVE Chat. EDIT: This has been debunked by now. Someone confused the 1.4 needed for the Yellow from rounds.

But I know of less than 10 players that got there so far.

Everyone has already hashed out how asinine this event is.

So I'll just add that I agree with the previous 36 pages worth of comments.

there are several in my alliance family that have completed. None of them have a roster level over 300 though

I'm really hoping that they apply a huge change to this event like they did defensive losses in PVP. icon_rolleyes.gif

In the hope that some of the comments do get considered by the dev team I would like to mention that as a player that has just passed the 1000 days played mark - the Boss Rush event is the first special event I have ever just stopped playing. My roster could have kept me going through a few more rounds, but it just felt like self abuse, and not the fun kind. The only thing I wanted was the yellowflag.pngicon_peggycarter.png , and that was cynically placed well past the reach of the vast majority of the player base.

To make matters worse, you have the next two events both giving out blue covers, surely one of those could have been a yellow.

If you only read one line of this feedback - please continue to try new things.

    For me, R6 bosses are lvl 360, R7 is 368. Boosted, my highest characters are 269, 264, 212, 207, 189. I have a wide 3* roster.

As others here and in my alliance have said, it does seem overly difficult. For my personal scaling, it seems about right, but getting to the end of R6 was very dependent on 3* Hulk being boosted.

Having a 3* roster, reaching a 4* is rewarding; and the process (bosses & supporting) was more fun than going through the Dark Avengers at SCL7.

It was less fun and rewarding than previous boss events though. In those, the cooperative nature (and likely lower difficulty) motivated everyone in my alliance to reach one or two 4*s. I played less this time, but I’m glad I stuck with it through R6.

From what I can tell is the new stuff that was tried:
    • Scaling to Rosters: seems to be a miss for most; however, if it eventually makes boss events more accessible to more people, that’s worth testing out. I like a non-scaled event every so often though to measure the progress of my roster.
    • Non-coop Alliance Event: This was not terrible, but a surprise, a little weird, and disappointing.
    • Having both individual progression rewards and individual round rewards was not bad, but again - weird. The fact that I reach the end of R6 and I’m not near the 3* Doom prize does fuel speculation that the event may not be operating as intended.
    • Individual within Alliance Placement: As someone who’s been at and near the top of my alliance previously, I would describe this as not needed. I’m more motivated by the notion of helping my alliance. I thought the awards were an appropriate half-step above bragging rights though. As long as they aren’t to lucrative, I’m not opposed.
    • Boss Waves: with a single boss, it can get repetitive, but it allows players to appreciate the design and then see if their strategy holds up in the next round. With the waves, it almost changes to fast until you hit whatever wave slows you down. Nuances in individual bosses, and in things like rounds that end in non-AP users, are too easy to miss. Combining bosses with opposing strategies eventually means the strategy has to be chaining up as near-infinite combos as possible. That’s not inherently bad, but not everyone’s roster has that option.
    • As GrimSkald (p29) mentions, seeing some of these new bosses again would be really great. Some good work was put into them.
    • Communication: I expect any new event might be rough the first time; internal testing can only go so far. I wish more people had a similar expectation, but preemptively guiding expectations might be helpful.

This event was truly and utterly awful. I have never bailed on an event out of sheer frustration, until now. The developers should feel ashamed for doing this to their loyal user base.
