gambl0r312 wrote:I put a "thank you to all" in our Alliance chat, but since that has such high turnover, I wanted to say thank you to all in our Alliance here as well.
First I want to thank Lyrian and Mischiefmaker for keeping this Alliance going strong amidst all these changes to the game lately, and thank them for working on keeping us @ 20/20 members, and keeping us going with tips and Stratgeries for events, etc. It can't be easy, but they make it feel easy by shielding us from that recuiting side of our Alliance. (If there are others also working on this, my thanks go to you also!)
Speaking of recuiting, I want to say a big Thank you to all for accepting me into your large ( for me ) Alliance and making me feel welcome. Thank you for taking that chance on me! I hope I can keep on keeping up! The increased rewards from being in this Awesome and active alliance has helped me get my formerly languishing Lazy Daken to true fighting form @ 4/4/4 and I could never get him that good that quickly without this Alliance's help!
Going along with that sentiment, everybody's points help, every little bit helps, so whatever points you can get for us I want to say thank you again! My former Alliance was barely top 1800-2200 as it was just my friends and family, and they are the definition of "playing it casual." Now thanks to this Alliance I am staring at picking up my first Nick Fury at the end of the season! Whether we do or don't, it matters a lot to me to be given that chance!
Thanks for reading, and if I see you in a PvP node, I'll throw you some points for making it to the end of this rambling tirade!
Thanks for the kind words!
To be fair, Mischief handles all of the guild duties and behind the scenes action. I'm good, but Mischief personally runs circles around me skillwise. My "personal" role is simply tweaking the strategies that he develops, as a second set of eyes on them (like a peer review). That, and finding "quirks" in the system...
For a very competitive PvP game, this alliance demonstrates incredible resolve for playing "dangerously" casual. On most events, there are enough of us pushing to make top 100 alliance placement, even if 25-30% of the alliance are taking it easy for an event. We have some hints of brilliance at almost breaking top 10 a few times lately, when everyone focuses on an event. That said, I don't believe that any of us really want to push that hard for any real length of time because we would all burn out. So, we play when we want to play, and it works surprisingly well for the alliance.
Glad to have you with us, and enjoy the ride that is our quirky alliance of random people stuck together with duct tape and bubble gum. It won't be long before you are swimming in ISO from alliance prizes that will somehow still be incredibly short of what you actually need to level up your characters. Funny how that works, Demiurge....0 -
Aww, alliance warm fuzzies! Thanks to both of you for the kind words. Don't be fooled by Lyrian's modesty though -- he pretty consistently outscores me at PvE events, and usually with lower scaling too.
As for me, yes, I take care of recruiting and general alliance administration. Some of that isn't always fun, but I do really enjoy finding new awesome people who are a good fit for us and getting them into the alliance -- like you, gambl0r! You've been a great contributor so far both socially and points-wise and I'm thrilled that you're happy with our alliance. In general, we've been lucky so far in that we haven't had to deal with much drama or worry about people leaving us suddenly and I credit everyone for being stand-up folks.
So thanks to everyone for being awesome fits for our casually hardcore alliance. Keep it up!0 -
Hey everyone - just sent email/messages to everyone regarding a survey for season four and some other interesting stuff. Please check your email and fill out the survey when you have a chance; thanks!0

Hey everyone, just wanted to write up a little bit about some of the comings and goings of the alliance these past few days.
First, for those who haven't said hello in chat yet, welcome to our two newest members, Troubletown and Lerysh! Troubletown comes to us from a 5-person public alliance and is working on making the transition from 2* to 3* characters. While his previous alliance may have been small, his scores are anything but! With a 10k score in Season 4, we think he'll be a great contributor and fit right in to the Chaos.
Lerysh is a long-time forum member whose previous alliance has fallen apart. His track record of 800-1100 PvP scores should help keep us consistently in the top 50 and might even give some of our top scorers a challenge for those shiny end-of-tournament trophies. Welcome guys! We're excited to have you and hope you enjoy your time with us.
Of course, adding new members means we have to say goodbye to some former comrades. After four straight seasons with the alliance, GingerBeard has decided to step away from the game to focus on an impending life change. We're proud to have helped Ginger make the transition from 2* to 3* and wish him all the best in his new endeavor.
FarLOL "only" joined us in season 2, but quickly made his presence felt, putting up top 5 scores in both season 3 and season 4. With classes starting up this week, he feels like he won't be able to put in as much time as he wants, and so will be leaving the game also. We'll miss both his high scores and his presence in chat, but wish him luck in finishing his phD thesis, at which point I suppose he'll be Dr. FarLOL.
Take care guys! If you should find yourself coming back to the game, please let us know and we'll see if we can make a spot for you.0 -
Hi Chaos League!
I saw your recruitment post in the Alliance LFMember section from mischiefmaker and was trying to figure out how to PM him so I figured I'd just post here! I've been playing MPQ for about 2 weeks and I'm hooked--even my girlfriend gets in when I am sleeping to play and blows up the alliance chat. I've been placing well in the PVE events (1st-3rd), and over 500 for PVP events (that generally gets me high rewards so I haven't gone higher than that).
I'm a little short on season points because I've missed a few of the initial things, but I really hope to push in the next two PVP events--I'll probably by under the 6500 you request.
I joined a 3-alliance tier system originally and have been pretty dissatisfied with the lack of group-feel (completely results oriented--if you don't make better than the top 40 members, you get nothing). I would always get pushed up for PVE (while some commanders were not very active in it and simply piggybacked on the rest of the alliance). I don't mind people taking time off, but it felt hypocritical to use me for PVE scores, but not be willing to move me in for PVP events even though I would make the minimum requirement of 500.
I am looking to join an alliance that I can be excited to see us all do well, build, and be successful.
My ISO name is Accident-eLe.
Main Roster:
94 Thor (2star)
89 Psylocke
70: Daken (2star)
I have 14 3-stars that range b/w 1-5 covers, I have 2 4-stars (Nick Fury, Invis. Woman). I am hoping to transition to 3 stars soon, I just need a few more covers to make worth focusing.0 -
Accident-eLe, I PM'd you. tl;dr: we're full at the moment but I'll let you know if we have an open spot.
It's time for another round of introductions! Many of you have already said hello in chat, but if you haven't, please give a warm welcome to our newest members: Nonnel, Onomatopoeia, Pengrainfan, Arcturo49, and _APOCALYPSE_!
Nonnel comes to us from a previously top 100 alliance called Super Friends (ahem, that's DC, fellas), where he was a commander and top scorer until some of the other commanders went AWOL. A longtime veteran, he's been playing 328 days and has only once ever missed a new character from PvE -- quite a record, and one we hope to help keep alive for many events to come.
Onomatopoeia, better known in our in-game chat as just "ono" and Muttly on the forums, is a crazy hard worker who's actually building his *second* account -- his first account was lost after 100 days due to not being backed up to Facebook, and he's starting anew. He's made a ton of progress already though, and is well on his way to transitioning into a 3* roster while still putting up beastly PvE scores. wickeddream, you've got competition at the top!
Pengrainfan we actually don't know anything about -- he joined our alliance at the end of Eight is Enough when we were a few people short, and it turned out both his PvP and PvE scores were pretty good fits for our team; quite a stroke of luck! Pengrainfan, if you should see this, please introduce yourself and get in touch with me so I can hook you up with our private strategies and Facebook group.
Speaking of crazy hard workers, you might have noticed a second name giving wickeddream some competition at the top of our PvE. Arcturo49 (Learric on the forums) comes to us from Agents of Yield, and while he's still working on maxing out his 2* characters and starting the 3* transition, he hasn't let his roster be an excuse, as he's rocking that score despite not even having the essential Dr. Octopus -- truly an impressive feat! We're hoping that the covers he'll get with us will help kick his transition into high gear and look forward to watching him translate his PvE success to PvP as well.
Last but certainly not least, we have _APOCALYPSE_, who gave us a huge shot in the arm on the PvP side. Previously known as UnFracture, _APOCALYPSE_ used to be a leader for top 10 alliance Immortal Rage before taking a step back from the hardcore requirements of that alliance. He can still bring it when needed, though, as you can see from his 8k season score, and we hope to learn a lot from his experience running with one of the top alliances.
Welcome everyone!
While it's great to welcome so many awesome new guys, bringing a great mix of PvE, PvP, and hilarious contributions to chat, bringing in the new folks also means having to say goodbye to some old friends. There are big shoes to fill, as our incoming members will be replacing mosby93, soitswritten, BigMac3, Lyrian, and Ailile.
mosby93 first joined us in Season 3 on a recommendation from his friend Deimos12. One of the first members we ever took who was transitioning from 2* to 3*, he helped pave the way for us to accept some of the 2* rosters we have now, and we're a much stronger alliance for it! He'll be taking this season off to focus on some things he's got going on in his life and may be back for a second tour of duty with the Chaos once things are settled.
soitswritten and BigMac3 were two of our original members, dating all the way back to season 1. Their initial trust in our alliance and belief that we could do big things helped build this alliance into what it is today, and we're grateful to them for their contributions over the past few months. Like mosby, soitswritten is taking this season off due to work commitments but is excited to return once he has more time. BigMac, sadly, is finding that he's no longer having fun and that other games are holding his interest better. Have fun with Destiny, BigMac, and whatever else may replace MPQ in your gaming life!
Finally, there's Lyrian and Ailile, who were two of the co-founders of our alliance and have been with since the very literal beginning. Yes, once upon a time we were just a 5-person alliance trying to scrape by for top 100 covers, back when that was still possible! Over the past few months Lyrian has been a tremendous asset to our alliance, helping to develop strategies for PvE, discover new things about game mechanics, being a vocal presence on the forums, and being a sounding board for me as I bounce crazy new ideas off him (usually he's the one to talk me out of doing crazy things, but not always!). They'll be taking some time off to focus on his health -- we wish them the absolute best of luck in a speedy recovery and hope to hear good news soon.
Farewell everyone! We'll miss you and hope to see you again soon.0 -
Goodness, I wasn't expecting to write another one of these so soon, but we've had a bunch more new people, so here we go...
Accident-eLe comes to us as the youngest (MPQ-wise) player we've ever had, having played just 19 days before posting in our alliance thread. As you can see from his post above, he's made a ton of progress in that short time, and is already making his mark by blowing up the top of the leaderboard every PvE! We're excited to be able to give a hardworking up-and-comer like AE an opportunity to earn top 50 PvP rewards and look forward to watching him start to crush those events too.
Highdark follows in gamby's footsteps, coming to us from a small 6-person alliance where he was the only one consistently active. His 9k season 6 score puts him solidly into our top half and we're expecting him to fit in great with our "casually hardcore" vibe as we chase the new 4* Thor in Season 7.
Also coming from an alliance that broke up, SupahG, or SupahG1 on the forums, is another up-and-coming player with a track record of strong PvE scores. Being part of an alliance that was going downhill depressed his PvP scores (and his spirit!) but hopefully he'll be revitalized with us now that he has top-flight rewards to help us win.
Finally, there's yemet, who brings 270 days of experience and a strong lineup of cover-maxed 3* to help fill out the Chaos League European office. He took some time off recently and so is missing the most recent characters, but we'll help him get those and more before too long!
Welcome everyone! Don't forget to send me your email addresses if you haven't already.
As excited as we are about the potential of our newest members, we're also sad to say goodbye to the outgoing folks: Troubletown, _APOCALYPSE_, Deimos12, and Pengrainfan. Deimos12 in particular was one of our oldest remaining members, joining us shortly after Season 1 ended and putting up big PvP scores every season. He's never been lower than #7 in our alliance for the season and we'll miss his contributions in chat as well as on the leaderboard.
Troubletown arrived much later, but has been a solid contributor, putting up 9k in his inaugural season and was well on his way to a similar score for season 6 when life intervened. Both he and Deimos are finding themselves playing less due to other commitments and will be leaving the game to focus on other things. We wish them both good luck in their endeavors and hope they find something they enjoy as much as we enjoyed having them!
Pengrainfan and _APOCALYPSE_ were with us for only a brief time, but their impact was much appreciated. Pengrainfan joined us only briefly and helped us make top 100 for the end of the Dr. Octopus tournament; unfortunately we were unable to get in touch with him to get him more integrated with the rest of the team. _APOCALYPSE_ was as big of a help as we expected, posting our #4 score for Season 6 and helping keep our streak of top 50 finishes alive, as well as providing many helpful tips in chat. His old alliance, Immortal Rage, needs his help and so he's left us to help rebuild over there. He sent me a note thanking us for being so welcoming and encourages us to get in touch with him if we should need anything.
Farewell everyone!0 -
Can't PM you, so I figured I would post. Looking to join. 852 on CA, avg PVP is 600-700, last season scored over the 7500 (not sure where I ended up). 5 characters over 140, 20 over 100. Very active in PVP and PVE. Game name Shear. Would love to join, if you have an opening.0

Chaos League has 2 spots available! We've been a top 50 alliance in seven seasons, and are looking for someone awesome to help keep that streak alive.
Our ideal candidate:
- is friendly and social, and wants to chat with the rest of the alliance
- ended Season 9 with a score over 7000, or typically scores 600+ per event
- always gets the top progression reward in PvE
- sees him/herself playing for a long time to come
- wants to be part of a top 50 alliance with no drama and low turnover
If that sounds like you, PM me today, or find me on LINE at mischiefmaker8. Looking forward to hearing from you!0
