    I stopped buying boxes. Shadow box no longer guarantees a separate rare/mythic besides the 14 packs. So I just spend my crystals as I go with the flow. Very very bad system. What's even more stupid is that unlike paper magic rares are not guaranteed. Money wheel...

    So I got my SOI booster from the last event and pulled a Relentless Dead.

    Pretty sad I got that for my zombie deck but I still can't get a Graf Harvest

    But I digress.
    I decided since I had almost enough crystals for 2 boxes (I was saving for a SOI box) that I would use the extra for a Kaladesh box.
    I figured I'd share my results.

    2xMythic
    Skysovereign, Consul Flagship (WHOOOHOOO!)
    Syndicate Trafficker

    4xRare
    Aethersquall Ancient x 2
    Deadlock Trap
    Eliminate the Competition

    This is not the best pull I've ever had, but it's certainly a lot better than what I've been getting as of late.
    The only real problem you can mention is that I got 2x the same rare. I really feel like they could take steps to make sure that doesn't happen.
    Dupe Rares is one thing... getting 2 in the same box while you are still missing the majority of them... that's another.


    Now... to D3...
    One thing I feel like they could do to help alleviate the issues with dupe cards...
    If I have a dupe Rare, why not let me trade it for an uncommon of my choice.
    If I have a dupe Mythic, why not let me trade it for a Rare of my choice.

    Better than what you're doing now? Runes for Mythics... Who wants that?
    At least this way you would be helping people complete their collection.
    And I fell like going down a rarity and getting to choose the card is reasonable.
    It would certainly be easier to spend money on your game if I knew I wasn't going to get completely screwed by dupes.
    I've stopped buying origins packs b/c I only get dupe rares and mythics even though I only have about 55% of them.

    Just a suggestion.

    I just open 20 buster pack, one fat pack and one big box, that's 190 cards.
    I didn't get any mythic, I did get 13 rare cards and from that 5 duplicates, over all 155 duplicate cards:/

    Nahiri's Wrath (dupe! Seriously... I only have 10 out of 33 of these Mythics!)

    Rare:
    Cryptolith Rite x 2 (why does this happen. So many cards I'm missing!)
    Falkenrath Gorger (dupe!)
    Emrakul's Evangel (dupe!)

    That's it.
    I mean it's great that I got 4 rares and a mythic, but seriously... all dupes!?
    I also did not get the guaranteed rare. I'll be submitting a ticket about that.

    So it may seem better, but the dupes still seem to be a huge issue!
    Since I posted my "suggestion" to D3, I've stopped converting my dupes.
    I have Dupes of all of these after not even a week (2 big boxes (Kaldesh and SOI), 2 Green Fat Packs (Nissa package), Event rewards and Basics).

    Mythics:
    Nahiri's Wrath (SoI/EM - 10 of 33)

    Rares:
    Aethersquall Ancient (Kaldesh - 16 of 43)
    Spirit of the Hunt (SoI/EM - 35 of 59)
    Heron's Grace Champion x 2 (SoI/EM - 35 of 59)
    Mina and Denn, Wildborn (BFZ/OotG - 29 of 60)
    Abbot of Keral Keep (Origins - 34 of 49)
    Emrakul's Evangel (SoI/EM - 35 of 59)
    Falkenrath Gorger (SoI/EM - 35 of 59)
    Inexorable Blob (SoI/EM - 35 of 59)
    Honored Hierarch (Origins 34 - 49)
    Cryptolith Rite (SoI/EM - 35 of 59)

    The number of new cards R/M I've gotten in that time... 8... which is good... but that's mostly from the Kaldesh box I opened which I didn't have alot of in general before opening the box above.
    It's frustrating to keep getting dupes and it's even more frustrating that D3 doesn't give us anything meaningful for them.

    How about 2 dupes to swap to a non dupe of the same rarity. Drop rates still suck though either way.

    I'd be down for that as well... even if it was a random non-dupe!
    Anything to make the dupes worth it in some way.
    hard to spend money on a game that doesn't actually reward you for spending money.

    That's definitely worse than what happened to me over the weekend, but even what happened to me is ****.

    I opened a Kadesh Big Box...
    I got a Mythic and 3 rares... which is definitely fine with me...
    Except I got 2x Dubious Challenge... a card I already had 2 of.

    But yeah... definitely not as bad as what happened to you. That sucks.
    That's happen to me like 2 or 3 times while playing this game.

    I'm flat refusing to buy packs now. I'd rather save for plainswalkers and not get screwed from an event that requires one then pay 600 crystals and feel buyers regret.

    Hey... I just got rank 48 in the latest event Emergency Ordinances.
    That got me an AR Rare!
    I only have 3 rares from AR. That's got to be something new right...

    NOPE... F'ING DUPE... ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

    The worst part about it is that the Kaldesh booster is replaced with the rare... so it being a dupe literally makes my rank 48 grant me the same reward as rank 101+ to 500.

    D3... your RNG sucks!

    just for the stats, there are 18 aer rares possible but 6
    are reserved exclusives. you had a 3/12 or 25% chance
    of getting a dupe. this is assuming none of your rares
    mentioned was an exclusive.

    Yeah, I'm aware of that and my post was written in frustration but really... if this was a "one of" type thing... I would understand.
    But the last event I got top 50 on... the same thing happened.
    Did you see my post above where I got 2 of a card that I already had 2 of from a big box?
    Or where Monkeynutts got 8 rares and they were all dupes... and got 5 of the same card in the same big box?
    Dupes are a problem. The RNG can't possibly be truly random.

    And this doesn't fix the last thing I mentioned...
    b/c the rare is a replacement for the booster and not in addition to... getting a dupe means your top 50 rank is really no better than 101 to 500 rank.
    D3 needs to figure this out. It's infuriating.

    HH is right, but it is a fricken **** when it happens. Dont think ive had a non dupe in QB or events for lile last 10-12 times.

    I just aim for crystals these days

    That's still better than what I just got. Got the 14x pack of SOI. 4 rares, 2 of which were the same card (And one of those was from the *guaranteed* rare)... So, 3 rares total. No mythics.

    There goes 600 crystals...
