They could be, I haven't asked. It's most definitely not the official terminology and you wouldn't be seeing it in-game. icon_e_smile.gif

And I thought he was Lazy because his character portrait looks chubby!

But seriously, I hope they don't. It's kind of a funny in-joke between the devs and the hardest core fans. After all, I myself, am not in the camp of it being lazy design. I think it is Fan Service. How many 2* Thor users wish they could still use him? A lot I bet.

Actually IceIX is a pro. I might have missed one but I don't think he's used that word outside of mentioning them being on their la z boys for an upcoming character release and calling another posters idea lazy.

Yeah, I felt bad using the term at first, but it's catchiness has grown on me. I think most of us understand that these gold characters are more of a way for you guys to get more characters out to the playerbase so that dev time can be focused improing on other aspects of the game. (Although it remains to be seen whether or not it would be better to just not have new content as opposed to gold characters.)

That's pretty much it really. We're not a large team, so the people that are designing characters also tend to have their arms elbow deep in character creation too. Having Gold characters made means that they can do some minor work on tweaks there and focus more on other aspects of the game.

Hopefully that means that the fun balancing list had mad some headway. Really wanting to see what happens to hawkeye S&V spidey mags etc etc. hoping some if them are made whole new characters like 2* Thor was on the 1st balance. Hope you guys are able to give us an update on that soon. I know it's hard since there's probably no concrete timeline.

Can you ask them why they wasted time creating Bagman? icon_e_biggrin.gif I'd trade Devil Dino for Bagman every day of the week.

Could you make all the gold characters fat at least?

I am changing my vote to LazyStorm.

Based on the statistics thread Storm is second most purchased after Thor.

Rather than get gold characters, why not just give us new characters with combinations of old abilities?
You'd be able to push out releases far faster, since you're not scaling ** abilities up to *** and ending up with the ridiculousness that is mThor, and we'd have a lot more variety to play with, and a higher chance of actually seeing our favorite character

I've said it before, but the release limits you guys are putting on yourself re: character creation is really unsustainable icon_e_sad.gif
There's a reason why every single long-running TCG/CCG variant introduces 3-5 new mechanics once per set of 20-100 characters (depending on game), rather than every single character - and a lot of those companies have far bgiger dev teams than yours.

I think maybe slow down on new character releases? The game as it is for a ** to *** player like me is a bit hard to play catch up as I have to spend my ISO wisely. Veterans with a good *** roster and nicely levelled characters will appreciate new character releases but for someone like me the "catch-up" game doesn't seem to end. icon_e_sad.gif

If they took a break from releasing new characters I certainly wouldn't mind as that would give me time to finish leveling up the three stars.

But that alone is probably why they'll continue with their current pacing.

I don't get this mentality. I have a reasonable stable of 3 stars, and while I pour some ISO into the character de jour, most of my ISO goes into Hood/Patch/Spidey. Unless they nerf one of them or release someone to replace them, that's my focus.

Releasing 10 more characters gives me more options and more fun stuff to play with, but unless they supersede one of the three, it has limited impact on my actual progression.

I'm just offering my viewpoint as I don't have enough time or good enough roster to keep grinding for ISO.

The problem for me starts when I have a mismatched enemy levels in PVE which might require me to pour some ISO into buffed characters which I rarely use, or do not have enough covers for. icon_e_sad.gif

I'm not saying your viewpoint is wrong or terrible, just that I don't comprehend it.

Once I get 5 or 6 characters to 141 I'm not sure what will keep me playing. Without actually developing my teams I actually use things will get old quick. Hopefully they will come up with a mechanism to evolve them to 4 stars before that happens, or we actually get 4 stars worth playing.

I really would love a lazy storm. Either version. Preferably my storm even though she may very well end up OP. I don't think as bad as people would imagine since 2 if her abilities are just so abilities. Not a lot if damage. Her black wouldn't be too super crazy if it scaled properly to 141. Very very slow scaling. It would basically be a super AP generator with around 3800 health I think would be appropriate.
  • Devil Dino becomes 3* and ready for release. Please? icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • I believe, in the spirit of true antagonism, we need a Lazy Storm next.

Not X-Force. Not X-Men team costume... but Storm, Goddess of Thunder.

    That's right. Storm's abilities. Thor's clothes.

    Check and mate.
