Speculation Thread on Next Lazy Character

Ugh, no more lazy characters please. Thor is by and far the strongest candidate for being upgraded, and he was - the next strongest would very likely be Modern Storm, but I doubt you'd upgrade a 1* like that, yet Captain America is so awful for PvP.. I'm not really sure what will be chosen here. I will say this - if they keep this trend up of just rehashing characters in the literal sense (and not the Astonishing/Patch/Xforce sense), I think I'm done. Not a lot of hype around reprinted characters at new rarities, Thor being a minor exception because of his obscene strength compared to other 2*'s.

I go with Captain too. Would be interesting too, mine sits at same lvl22 as thor (and LT just got to 41 minutes ago).

But in general I hare this gold character **** violently. So the rest of my holes go that it will happen in a really distant future only.

More healing characters as opposed to Nerf.

I would have no choice but to buy covers if it was Juggernaut. The king of defense right there.

For all the reasons other people have listed, I'd expect Captain to be the next gold character. The 2* I'd most expect it *not* to be is Ares, since he's the 2* most similar to Thor. Wolvie is also out, because Patch already exists as a 3* Wolverine, and he's very, very good.

My second candidate would be OBW, though, especially with the Classic Spidey nerf expected any month/year/decade now. The game has exactly two healers currently, both of which are the core essential characters of their respective star level. (Ok, Spidey is core more because of the stun, but I expect that his healing replaces rather a lot of health packs among 3* rosters.) Adding another healer or two would go a long way towards promoting roster diversity...though admittedly, adding a second copy of OBW is pretty much the opposite of diversity.

Healing is only half my reasoning.

The other half is popularity.

The one I'd really like to see is Classic Storm as a 3*. She would have the health to be useful. By the time most people had her to 85, she was too squishy to be of much use. Give her 5800 health and she'd be a viable choice for support.

Sadly I fully expect Cap for the same reasons as already mentioned but i wouldnt complain at all about storm daken or juggs and if it was OBW I'd flip my tinykitty in excitement. However with sniper widow I REALLY doubt we ever get another widow unless she was a 4*

Vent away. I've actually been thinking really hard about leveling Daredevil for defense just because of the stun and purple.

As far as balance goes I think Cap is the only acceptable promotion. He'll be even better to use in PVE (at least when he is available) and not a whole lot more than a meat shield for no one in particular in PVP.

But other than him and Bagman every 2* (including Thor of course) has a potential oh tiny kitty factor when promoted to gold.

Would M.Storm really be that strong as a 3*? Most of her damage comes from matches, which means it doesn't scale very well, and she competes with red and green.

I don't know who it will be, maybe moonstone since she's aweful and the game needs more female characters.
But I really dislike gold thor, he seems to fly in the face of the whole balanced idea. If the devs want to keep him in the game as is, they should not nerf spidey or mag, give rag a 2 or 3 ap thunderclap, heck, even give loki back his old skills. Then at least there's more balance, more broken balance that is

Problem I have if it's Cap is his skills are already terrible, even with him being gold I can't see him being that much more useful?
