    Heads up:
Deviator left too as he originally wanted, maybe he comes back someday. Maybe not. It's your decision, mate, hope you get the best out of it! <3
Meamkatz tells me he stopped playing which means we need 2 new recruits atm. Off to recruit some, then!

Let's try and get top 100 in the current Hulk - at least I know that many need Psylocke covers for themselves, but Fury is for the grindiest of them all, so if you're more for PvP, just wait for Fury to appear there as well.

    Current situation.
I am going to play Combined Arms and, perhaps, whatever next PvP, if not, I will find a temporary sub instead of me - not like I need any covers from the current PvE. New characters are only ever introduced in PvE so I won't miss anyone new if I skip the entire next 10 days either. Which I won't anyway icon_e_biggrin.gif

As for PvE itself, it could be worse than the Hulk that just ended. 9,5 days of a grind is not fun even if the subs aren't as short. If you want to do well personally, you have 2 options as usual:
    play it safe, try to place well in most hard subs (not necessarily all of them), keep it consistent for the entire event. It's a very hard way but you get more progression rewards, ISO, tokens and HP this way. Event tokens have a higher chance of Fury as well. To make your life easier, join subs when they are about to end or at a -3h mark and do 1-2 refreshes. The first couple of subs are 24h long by the way and end in 19h 51min;
alternatively join as late as possible. Join on the last day. You might luck out and get sharded into a very new bracket, so if you grind like crazy for the last few hours you just might snag yourself top 2/top 10. It's very risky since you might get sharded into an old bracket anyway but if you win you win big.
Top 2 Fury is for like less than 1% of the players: the most grindcore and the luckiest ones.
Important: subs have alliance prizes, too. Subs give out event tokens for top 300 individual/top 50 alliance.
Looks like all of us have at least 3 green covers for Patch which is optimal imo unless you abuse Patchneto heavily. Therefore, no pressure for top 100 overall in the current PvE! Yay!

    Cheers folks!

It was very nice to rest from MPQ - do take a break if you need it (it looks like some do lol). I am told that Frubzy left while I was away and we missed top 100 in both Nefarious Foes and Too Many Secrets despite the decent rewards (black Psy and green Punisher). Step up your game, folks, we're are either top 100 or we aren't icon_razz.gif I hate letting down new recruits since I have the audacity to still advertise [Just] as a top 100 team you know icon_e_biggrin.gif
Hope we are rested now! If not I will whip you into shape <3icon_twisted.gif As a reminder, here is the list of the covers that we can freely ignore: Loki, Daredevil, Ragnarok, Dr Doom, Spider-Man, IM 40, red GSBW, maybe blue Psylocke, blue Black Panther and yellow lazy Cap as well. All other covers are usually needed - look out for your teammates and you will see how many of us are transitioning.
Yellow Falcon awaits! Getting green Patch from the PvE would be a boon for some newer guys too.

I will no longer be playing MPQ as competitively,
I have no time for PVE 9 days tournaments, that end at 6.00 AM UK time,
I will only be playing PVP tournie for cards I need in future and probably will only play a few of those in a very casual manner (if at all, I am bored with this game now and will probably quit for good)

As Such this is my last tournament with JUST alliance, I had a lot of fun, and my roster improved massively, but its not fair to stay when I do not have not the desire to play.

Feel free to kick / replace me whenever you need

    All the best Locked

    Doctor
  • What happened to us? I just woke up and we're suddenly down to 12 people! Even Locked is out.

Ironman, I said in the game chat that I would most probably leave if it looked like we were out of contention for top 100 in Blind Justice. It was with 8 hours to go, we were 140-ish or so. 7 hours later we were 115 and most low scores stayed low (not nguy2's fault, he communicated he was busy, for example). People like TooBad are real MVPs, both PvE and PvP, but he can't carry a 20 man alliance on his own with only a few other decent scores.
I'm sorry that Commander burnout and undercommunicating got us in the end and hope those who want continue playing semi-casually in Just while others seek out more competitive alliances. Good luck and cheers to you all!
  • I'm out as well. Going to take it casual and riding it solo for now. Not sure if I'll be back or not, but if I do, I'd probably join a more competitive alliance.

I recommended consistent performers to join another competitive alliance before I left for the following reason:

Fact of the matter is that we don't have that many performers in the alliance. In our history, only locked, Mikey, and Frubzy consistently scored well with a well fleshed 3* roster. Unfortunately, they are all gone now. Nguy, Capn, and Valekboss would score very well here and there, but not consistently. The rest had 2* rosters or rarely scored well at all. By scoring well, I mean 900pts+, which is decent, but not much in my opinion.

I want to shout out for Ijoshea who with 2* rosters was consistently scoring better than most with 3* rosters. I wouldn't mind having someone like that on the team. Ijoshea was scoring between 800-1000+ pts every PvP.

Problem with [Just] was that everyone was made commander from the get go. We really needed to have those not performing well step down from commander status, but that never happened even at multiple requests from locked.

Best of luck to you locked! Best of luck to everyone else as well!

You put it better than I ever could, TooBad. And yes, I take full blame for making everyone Commanders from the get-go. Some Commanders never wanted to give up their rank from upgrading the alliance, though, and I don't think I can judge people for that. The main issue is that you either recognize that competitive MPQ takes some effort and looking our for teammates, or you don't, and it's better for strong players (I have no life, but kudos to those who manage to have one) to move on.

It was a great ride, folks, and I've enjoyed talking with the other alliance members in the in-game chat (and here, too.) There were some genuinely amusing conversations.
The alliance went public and is back up to 20/20 as of right now, though it remains to be seen how many will be active players. I too am ready for a break (very close to burn out) and will probably still shoot for 600 points in PvP, but likely take a break from the perpetual Pve grind. It's possible that Just might transition to a "600+ points PvP, Pve Whatevs" sort of alliance - I guess we'll have to see how the new blood shakes up the status quo.

locked, TooBad, and the rest of the old guard, I hope you check in every now and then with a quick post! It's nice to hear how everybody is doing.
  • I've been very busy and a bit burned out as well. Thanks for everything locke and I know you'll do great with d'jango icon_e_wink.gif Best of luck to the rest of u and I'll still be playing but not as competivly.
  • Wished we could have stayed together. Ive decided to go solo for now so i can just casuallyplay hereand there for the moment. I wish the best for everyone! Thanks for all the fun runs.

It was definitely fun while it lasted, but I too have joined another alliance. Thanks for all the covers and advice, and props to Locked for being such a great commander. From here on out I'll be with A-Force, and if I see any of you in PvP I'll try not to hit you too hard!
  • I wanted to chime in and say that I'm tremendously grateful to locked and the rest of the [Just] crew I was fortunate enough to play with. They helped teach me a lot about the game and never made me feel like I was dead weight when a pvp came up and my roster was woefully under-prepared. The guidance, the wisdom, and of course the alliance covers were tremendously appreciated. Best of luck to you all.

Great to hear from you guys and I hope you tear it up in your new alliances. I'm still with [Just] as one of the oldest (maybe the oldest...?) member remaining, and while I plan to play pretty casually, I'd like to throw out a few suggestions for new members. If you joined in the last week or so, after the great and terrible Just-Exodus, please read!

PVP: Is it a new character? One that's been released in the last month or so? Do your best to hit 600 points. If everyone hits 600 points or higher (not that high of a mark, if you have even 2-4 hours to play over the course of the tournament), that gives the alliance a decent shot at a top 100 finish for a cover. Is it a cover that's old, or that nobody really cares about? (Ragnarok, Daredevil, Loki, etc.)? Try to hit 300, which should be easily done with even an hour and a half of play over the course of the tournament.

PVE: I'll be honest - I don't have the time (started a new job), the inclination, or the patience to tear down nodes anymore every 2-4 hours. I would only suggest/request that you clear each node at least once.

Going on vacation? can't play for awhile? Just let us know. I (or the other commanders) are not going to kick you out for missing a tournament or failing to reach a point total if you let us know. Now, if you disappear for two weeks and don't let anyone know, either here or in the in-game chat? Well... [Just] was a top 100 alliance for many months, and I think it deserves a little more respect than that.

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to announce that there is currently one opening for an active player. The alliance has been set back to private for now, as we had several people join (which is good), and then about half of those promptly didn't play at all for days (which is bad). I'm starting to go through and weed out the ones that aren't playing at all to make room for more active members.

If you'd like to join, check the requirements in the post above this one. You can search for the alliance in-game.

    icon_e_biggrin.gif FROOGGUURRT!

Alright everybody, I spent some time trying to pump up the jam, err, pump up the remaining members to score decently, but didn't have much luck influencing motivation. Only two members scored above 300 in the last PvP, and most members didn't play at all. I usually scored around 6th - 12th place in Just during its best days with my modest 500-600 points, and I was first in the last two PvP events in the alliance - signs that the ship was sinking. I have elected to depart from the alliance and have since taken up residence in ETC, a laid-back PvP-focused alliance.

I wish you all the best of luck and I had a BLAST while Just was at the top of its game. I hope some of our members still update in here every now and then - [Just] was the first alliance in any game I've ever been a part of (I'm mostly a single player PC gamer) and it was a nice experience.
