[Just] alliance (x/20)

Okay, reminding you guys that we have a FB group that everyone in our alliance is welcome to join. I'm Yelena Belova and my pic says Bagspy
Heads up:
- Welcome to our newest recruits semiazn (forum name semiasian) and Howard D (forum name justdave333), and hope we can keep the current roster for quite some time!
- New PvE: don't grind yet unless you really want the 100k She-Hulk. I think the event will have the same structure as Oscorp: Heroic with LD covers, which had a main screen and several subs. According to the poll, most of us will definitely apply effort, so we will see where that takes us!
- How about renaming our alliance? Some options that came up: Crotch Kickers & [JustLazy] (in honor of lazy characters I presume?); suggestions welcome0 -
Great names. Really can't go wrong with either, though I like keeping the legacy [Just] theme with [JustLazy]. Next up, mandatory Daken/Thor/Storm squads!0
-
Update for those not on FB/not reading the chat! I don't think the Heroic will have crazy rubberband at the end anymore; would be a crazy move imo and would really ruin a 6,5 days effort (it has been done before... But mostly by accident and inexperience). So, don't grind to 0 anyway but don't just join on the last day of main event either. Safer approach would be to try to place well in the subs and have a shot at She-Hulk from event tokens if you lack her.0

Locked, I sent u a friend request on Facebook. My name is Keith. So what r the facebook benefits anyway?0
-
No real benefits, we just gossip about those who are not on FB
Oops, shouldn't have said that!0 -
I knew it! All you guys do over there is gossip about me!0
-
Don't join the new subs early and save yourself some grinding and scaling. TooBad was able to catch up and get 1st in his sub despite only joining on the second day.0
-
Okay, since not all of us are on FB, I will send some tips via PMs; please don't be offended if you do not need them0
-
A little bit more gas on the Heroic, please, if you can afford it, top-scoring Sir Phobos will be unable to play actively during the end of the event. If we keep up, top 100 should be doable. The Doctor, Howard, CapnJoe, Valek, FINK are all adding decent points despite not having the required character for Essential nodes. It's important that those that do, do their best. Well, sub's ending soon, off to grind a bit!0
-
That last set had way smaller points than I expected. Made it to 100k though for the bonus Shulk cover0

Locked,
Just a quick question,
I happily resigned my Commander status because I understood that the majority of the members would be doing the same, leaving perhaps just one or two commanders who could replace inactive or underperforming members etc.
Looking today its seems some members have regained commander status again ?
I am not bothered if I am a commander or not, I am happy to retain my place in the alliance on merit (or not), but with such a large number of commanders again, it does leave those of us who gave up the status voluntarily, at the mercy of those who chose not to, or who have had the privilege re-instated
Any reason for this or did I miss-understand the intention ? its not a big deal either way but I must admit I preferred the Idea of a smaller number.0 -
I wanted Deviator, TooBad and CapnJoe to be sub-commanders and I promoted them back; then Valek sorta joined their ranks, too (ask him lol). Some of the original commanders did not demote themselves but I'm gonna be asking repeatedly in case they did not see the requests; we're down to what, 8 Commanders compared to the old numbers? I want iKilla, yemet to demote themselves but if they don't do it and continue playing actively, no biggie; it's just for neatness' sake.
Edit: and also wanted Ricky and FINK to demote themselves, FINK is alright with that, just forgets to actually do it0 -
So everyone knows I've got family coming in tomorrow and it's going to make hitting the events tough. I won't be able to grind out a finish in Top Gun or the Simulator. I intend to hit 70K in the pve so I feel like it's adding something though. Top Gun I should hit our 600 goal but probably not much more and maybe even a little short. As for the Rags event this weekend, I won't be able to get in until the last 12 hours. I know it's the end of the season, I hope my marks in earlier events is enough to help the team. We seem to be doing pretty well at the moment!0

Is anyone else not receiving updates in the in-game Alliance chat? I haven't been able to post a message (it just disappears when I hit send) and haven't seen any new alliance messages since yesterday.0
-
Other alliance members have this issue sometimes, Moose. I do too but not for days, I usually log out repeatedly until I get the chat to update correctly. It's awful buggy, though, no matter how you look at it. I would offer to use LINE, but not sure that many of us would want to install another application just for the sake of MPQ.0
-
Over at ISIS we have been slowly converting everybody to the Line app. 13 of 20 so far. The members that have switched too it love it. Its very simple once you get it running. Who knows, maybe if you guys were to get on Line we could do some sort of co alliance chatting. That is how the big X-Men alliances do it. They have there own separate channels than one huge one for all the X-men alliances. Its pretty cool.0
-
Thanks, moosecakes; maybe we will have to utilize Line if the game chat doesn't get improved. There are 15/20 of us on Facebook, so there's that.
Oh and while we're at it,
copy from FB:
End of the Season is upon us! After reorganization in the beginning we started doing pretty well back again and haven't missed an alliance cover yet - kudos!
The Hunt: as with the last event, the optimal and laziest way is to join subs as late as possible and fit as many refreshes you can afford as possible. There will be no main points to speak of, so only sub placements will count toward the end. The main event is shorter than usual, thank goodness! It used to be much longer.
You can join the main a bit later, too; the first sub started 6 hours ago and is 1,5 days long. It's a good idea to join on the second day of the event to avoid the grindy ones. (But then again you can rubberband off the grindy ones.)
I have no idea how we will place overall because the event is heavily geared towards 2* rosters and 16/20 of us have blue Steve Rogers maxed. Do try to go for the top placement if you need the blue, but personally I will try to put in alliance points for the top 100 as well. From my experience, Cap is very good for PvE but not necessary; I couldn't prioritize blue over red and there are better stunners out there. His red is an all-star though and he works really well with the Hood.0 -
Hi looking for good alliance I am playing this game for 1 months always getting Z 500-800 points in pvp hope u have spare place for active member0
-
In case anyone reads this and is not on FB:
Do not join the PvE early; there are no subs which means plenty of rubberbanding off the overall leaders in the last days. Joining on the very last day is probably not the safest idea though because it can be changed to no rubberbanding on the last day. So join somewhere between the middle of the event and the last day and play minimally to keep your scaling low until the last push you can afford to make. Whatever progression overall leaders achieve by the moment you join, you should be able to get, too.
In other news, we missed top 100 for Psylocke by 85 points but I do hope we can manage a top 100 for red Captain in Fresh Cut (he's very, very good for PvE, his maxed red hits for 6000+ when buffed, so virtually 6000+ damage for 1 AP spent) and a top 100 for Captain Marvel in the PvE itself. Getting new characters is very important for other events to follow as those that played without She-Hulk in Dark Avengers: Heroic can attest to. - Kudos by the way, still can't believe we made it!
The new Season prize is welcoming for less alliance competition, I would hope, but the season prize is simply a bonus anyway which can be ignored this time completely. Let's play for our individual goals, alliance covers and ISO/HP. I am happy to know that I'm not the only one who likes the feeling of helping newer guys with less developed rosters. And the vets can surely use help, too!
I ask everyone to play to at least 300 pts and the event token progression if you are going to play an event at all. 600/1800 is not strict but a bare minimum of 300 points per an event is very much desired. We need the top 100 title and corresponding rewards not because I'm vain or someone else is vain, but because someone always needs the alliance covers as we have a *lot* of amazing members still in transition If we stumble upon an event that literally no one needs the alliance cover from, that's another matter, but by default top 100 it is.
Thanks, take care, enjoy the summer!0 -
Oh, and don't forget to check out these threads and chat to Demiurge guys if you are going to the Comic Con!
