    I've been thinking a bit about Seasons, many players quitting/taking it easier, and stuff.
    There's no shame in not making a match-3 game your second job or something.

    So I'm asking you, my fellow alliance mates, if we're okay with only coming top 50 occasionally and mostly resigning ourselves to top 100 in PvPs?
    (By the way, non-cover range is absolutely unacceptable! (c) Lemongrab j/k lol)

    We're already doing pretty much the same for PvEs, usually just going for cover range and that's the important thing anyway, since PvE scaling is all too real. If we do better, it's just icing on top.

    That would mean less alliance HP and ISO, for sure. Personally I'm okay with pushing to 900 or so every PvP event, higher if there are progression rewards of value. It's not like I have too much social life going on!

    I know that some of us aim to score even better for most tourneys, but the truth is that mostly (at least half of us) we're casuals and have RL, families, vacations, superhero duties, and what not.

    Maybe I shouldn't even be asking that question, but I don't want our best scorers to feel unappreciated or something like that. That's definitely not true, but it's also hard to keep scoring top 50 if 5-6 people of an alliance take it easy all at once.

    If you feel tired with all the nerfs to rewards, Season grinding and everything, don't be shy to admit that, I am feeling that burnout myself - mostly because I'm not sure if we as an alliance even need all that. Sure, we are mostly random folks grouped together but I would still like us to have some common goals and attitudes. I hope that we continue to enjoy the game, whatever nerfs and funbalance come, and be able to help each other.

    What do you think? Should we have an outline, a plan, or just go with the flow?

    I like the way we are doing right now..Ok perhaps we will fall a little behind now that Mikey is gone but that's ok!
    Personally i will always try to score as high as possible on the PvP to score the covers and HP.
    So its up to you guys to see what you want..either way im happy to be part of our Alliance and got a lot more fun playing the game now! icon_e_smile.gif

    *JUST* my 2 cents do!
  • So this is what I've been missing on from the forums. The chat is still kinda buggy on the game. I admit I feel burnt out sometimes playing the game but here and there I'll try really hard but I just hate it when I miss just 1/2 of a sub-event and it ruins the rest of the event. If someone does need a certain cover for a character and we do need that extra push to get it....please let me know and I shall unleash the wraith of my characters to make sure we solidly place to get that cover. b(^.~)d

    Thanks, Mikey, for paying us a visit! I hope you enjoy the game more now that you're in the place you truly belong to - with the heavy hitters, don't say you 'deserted' us or anything, you deserve to be in company of similarly-minded people (I just hope they treat you well. If that great leader of yours dares pressure you to much, just let me know and I will have a talk with him! lol). And I will never forget your generosity when we were just starting, too. Hope you get everything you work for!

    To everyone else: thanks so much for your opinions! I'm glad that the alliance mates appreciate it when others push for the extra bit of rewards and covers that some alliance mates might need. I think we just need to be more vocal about our schedules and stuff, e.g. I, personally, am very grateful when a member notifies others of a vacation, being busy at work, with family, etc. Do not be shy to remind others of your MPQ needs, be it covers, extra ISO or HP. I would have never accumulated that much HP on my own without you guys, that's a fact, and it means a lot for me as a F2P forever (permanently purchase banned on Steam). If this game doesn't burn down from all the vets' holy anger (myself included but I'm passive aggressive), I think we can stick around and enjoy what we can icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Milambus, I hope you can sort things out fairly soon and maybe participate in alliance chatroom more (just heads up here and there, nothing outrageous). Kick them RL issues in the face!

    Yemen, I've hit you like 2 or 3 times in the last 30 minutes it feels like. There's no malicious intent, you just keep coming up at 30+ points. My apologies
  • Nice of you to stop by and apologize. I know I'd hit one of your guys just as much if I was in that situation.

    First of all, I'm honoured to be in a top 50 alliance which we proved we are. Congratulations and amazing job, everyone!
    No need to kill ourselves in Season 2, let's continue shooting for alliance covers, anything else is a bonus.

    Now I'd like to hear from you, Milambus - are you coming back to us at all? :S While it's completely reasonable to take breaks from the game, it would be nice to let others know if you're unable to continue playing actively at all.
    Will send him a PM too just in case.
  • I'm still here.

    I'll should be playing more often again now. I was feeling a bit burnt out on the game with all the nerfs, and long multi-day PvEs, but that feeling is fading and I've been in game a bit more the last couple days.

    If my play time doesn't pick up a bit more, I'll drop out so you guys can find someone who is more active to take my place.

    I'm sorry to tell this, but the founder of the alliance, Oxin, has been finding the game too demanding recently and acquired other priorities (hint hint it's a GIRL, go Oxin!), which led to him leaving the alliance. We still finished top 100 in Fresh Cut, so I hope this time it's alright, as we usually come top 50 for newer covers naturally with many alliance members scoring high. I'm quite sorry for the abruptness - you know how aggravating the game can be if you let it icon_lol.gif
    I'm scouting for a recruit, if you know someone nice - do tell, too.
  • I have a recruit. If you didn't see my chat messages, my roommate is looking for an alliance.

    His roster is not super strong, just two stars. It's mostly due to the fact that he can't get alliance benefits. He has Max Thor, obw, daken, storm and wolverine. His magneto is close. He plays a lot. About as much as I do. He has four 4* covers, so he's capable of scoring well.

    His handle is clovick.

    I like the feel of our current position, where we go for top 50 but sometimes land top 100 - out of the shark zone of the top 25 and still competitive. I am not one of the top point-scorers in our alliance (I usually earn about 500-800 for most PvP), but I think that's a good middle ground for contributing to a decent finish. I also love the nice line we walk between casual/hardcore; as long as you're contributing, or letting fellow members know that you're away/taking a break, etc., everything is good. For me it's the perfect balance between competitive and casual, where we certainly have the rosters and the dedication to clear top 50 when things come together, but not the leaden onus of obligation to do so when real life obligations rear their ugly head.

    Just a heads up for everyone.

    Recently, before the end of Season 1, we had to say goodbye to Mikeydollar7 as you know - he's now a member of X-Men, Season 1 winner alliance;
    in Season 2:
    to Oxin, our founder - new goals, new priorities, and that's cool;
    to kvasik - he might return, we'll see, but he is not able to play much on his main account at the moment.

    And said hello to 3 newest recruits:
    ijoshea (recruited from the forums);
    Clovick (applied through his roommate CapnJoe);
    edguh (applied swiftly and has a nice roster, so welcome and let's kick some booty).

    Feel at home, introduce yourselves if you want icon_e_smile.gif

    Edit: reminding everyone that I keep our achievement history in the first post in this thread! icon_e_ugeek.gif

    Welcome, new blood! Don't forget the in-game alliance chat - we do quite a bit of conversing there in addition to the forums.
  • HEYYYYYY GUYS! icon_e_smile.gificon_e_smile.gificon_e_smile.gif
  • TooBad - I see you behind me in Fresh Cut. I'm only doing one more fight and shielding out, so you're welcome to take the win provided you can get past 1250 or so icon_e_smile.gif
  • I am taking a semi-break from MPQ for a week or slightly more. I am moving from flat to flat, so I need to prepare stuff, and getting connected at the new place takes some time too. I will be playing, but my playtime will be reduced.
