  • Hilarious thread retitling!
  • I run out playable nodes at Storm PvP skipping all the time trying to find someone that worth 20+ points. I just exit the game and after restarting all was fine again.

Must be very annoying being unable to progress because of this bug icon_e_sad.gif

PVP - Pretty happy with the recent awards restructuring. Its good enough to know with at least some decent effort, you can come away with something useful(ie - one 3* cover), but if you really want to progress faster you can win 3 covers regularly or up to 4 covers (if you press to top 5) of the featured reward. Makes the transitioning to 3* a little easier, especially considering the number of 3* characters out there.

PVE - This one still needs some work. I have several issues with this...
    1. I can grind out a PVE for days(7 or 10 days) but be screwed out of any rewards cause I couldn't play the last 2-4 hours and people's late rubberbanding kicking my ****.
    2. On events where rubberbanding is as viable, I'm getting outplaced by people with rosters less than max 2*s. Usually putting me out of the top tier of rewards.
    3. It feels like I put in 5-10 times the effort in PVE than PVP, now HAVING to check in every 2.5 hours or lose pace... for a span of 7-10 days... for a third or less the amount of rewards that I could get from PVP in the same timeframe.
    4. Progression rewards are either way to easy to reach... or near impossible. ISO brotherhood seems to have hit it right... so maybe they got this one fixed.
    5. Removal of the first time clear bonuses. For someone who is ISO starved, this one was huge. Never understand why they remove any ISO related rewards/bonus's when it takes over 5.5 million iso to level everyone to max in the game.

    2. How do You feel in our alliance?
As a new member of the alliance, I couldn't be happier. I had come off of two different alliances that were ranking 80-100 when I joined and dropped to the 100-150 range within a month(maybe it was me? icon_redface.gif ). It was always a struggle to get to top 100, and usually ended on the wrong side of it. Very annoying. Here, it looks like the alliance is able to keep pace in the top 50, even with everyone not contributing all the time. And looks like if we ever did have an event we wanted to really push for, we could compete for top 5. That was never a consideration in my other alliances.

    3. Satisfied with Alliance' and Your personal rankings?
See above. Scavenger's regular placement is far beyond my expectations and what I had become accustomed to. The members here also seem to always be "in the know". Where it was usually just me and a couple others in previous alliances.

Personal rankings. I told emeryt that my average last season was in the 860 range, never below 700 but never had exceeded 1000. This usually netted me top 50 but hardly ever top 10. Since joining, My average is currently above 1000, and am placing top 10 each time. Not sure if I just hit my stride, MMR balance, etc or if actually joining has gotten me more motivated to do well.

    4. Any current achievements You'd like to share with us?
End goal, to get Nick Fury max covered/leveled without buying him outright(using HP for shields only). I know this will be a long process, but exactly why I like it as a goal. I will have leveled several other characters to 141 by then to make that goal happen.

    5. You prefer PvP or PvE or like both?
I prefer PVP. 2.5 days, focused, and good reward cycles. PVE is more of a grind and higher frustration levels for less reward.

    6. Suggestions or anything You'd like to add?
This post will probably come off as overly cheery, mainly cause I'm still riding high on joining an alliance that isn't always on the verge of completely disbanding at a moments notice. I'll become more of a cynic in the future... I promise :p

    1. How do You feel the game recently? Satisfied?
    - Generally, yes. Things haven't been as frustrating as they were at the end of last season, and the new progression rewards breathe a little more life into the game. Taking things a bit more easy helps as well.

    2. How do You feel in our alliance?
    - Good! You're all a fun and helpful bunch both in the in-game chat and on the forums, and seem to nail the perfect balance between hardcore and casual. The way we all banded together to go from outside of the top 100 to top 15 in that pve where LStorm was first handed out was awesome to see.

    3. Satisfied with Alliance' and Your personal rankings?
    - Yes, very much so.

    4. Any current achievements You'd like to share with us?
    - My current goals are maxing Daken (still need two black covers), Torch (still need one red) and Sentry (who needs many more covers). Also, continuing to see how far I can go as a purely F2P player (only 17 more covers to go until all my 3 stars are maxed! Sentry and Storm need 6 more each, the rest are 1 or 2 covers here and there) while not allowing myself to go mad due to absurd event times. I won't be doing early morning wakeups anymore unless it's at the end of a major pvE for a prize I really, really want. Generally speaking I try to average about 900-1000 points per PvP and top 50+ per PvP.

    5. You prefer PvP or PvE or like both?
    - Both have their ups and downs.

    6. Suggestions or anything You'd like to add?
    - I'd like to add a little salt. Maybe some pepper.
  • For me not much changed since the season 1 **** -- though not needing anything too much (or at all) helps a lot.

Yesterday got HT to 13 covers and a lucky pull + the season prog falcon sent him to 12 leaving really just 1 cover I actually look for (and could buy it any time really). Sure LD is still at 9 and sentry at 6 covers but I don't plan to actually play them.

The new pvp prizes that allow go lazy down to 25 instead of 10 is a thing I like, and in last few could do the top5 with just little more effort if actually needed the extra cover.

PVE would be great with slower refresh, for placement it's still too many repeats of the same -- though last couple of events were way more pleasant than those before.

Between cheaters, shards and server outages my main problem is the basic boredom: lack of variety on either my or the opponent teams. While I planned to play with different ones appear to fall back to the one most effective team for the task.

The alliance is fine though I'd expect all new people to post at least their bio and little more activity here.

I keep planning to leave for good or seriously cut back the time but it just does not really happen -- probably will as soon as I dig into some other game. icon_e_smile.gif

I like the new PvP rewards system; I think it's good especially for players transitioning to 3* like me.
You can also balance between effort and the rewards you get.

I thought the Brotherhood PvE was an improvement. The progression rewards were better.
Liked that I didn't have to grind that much but still could get decent rankings (but that's probably due to IM40 icon_e_sad.gif ) icon_e_sad.gif
7 days is still too long for me though.

    2. How do You feel in our alliance?
Really enjoying it, makes me ask myself why didn't I join sooner.
I didn't join any alliance for the longest time but when I came here I knew I should've.

I like the balance between casual and competitive and enjoy reading the chat.
Learning new stuff along the way and I'm more motivated for the game.

    3. Satisfied with Alliance' and Your personal rankings?
Definitely. In fact, I've improved since joining the alliance.

    4. Any current achievements You'd like to share with us?
I'm still transitioning into my first 141 so waiting till that happens...
When it does, I hope to break 1100 in PvPs to get more covers!

    5. You prefer PvP or PvE or like both?
I'm fine with both and though PvE would really be a chore if it's a week.

    6. Suggestions or anything You'd like to add?
Glad to be here and happy that I can contribute.

  • Hi Emeryt, thanks for doing this and always being so active. I am doing very well, hope you are too!

    1. How do You feel the game recently? Satisfied?
I love the new reward structures in PVP. I just hope PvE becomes less grindy, because it's hard for me to keep up.

    2. How do You feel in our alliance?
It's been great, lots of awesome people and everyone is super helpful. Plus it's been consistent in keeping active players.

    3. Satisfied with Alliance' and Your personal rankings?
The Alliance has great ranking, but wish my ranking was better. I don't have enough time to play, especially in some PVE events.

    4. Any current achievements You'd like to share with us?
Nothing too exciting going on currently

    5. You prefer PvP or PvE or like both?
I like both, just don't like grinding PVE when there are new characters released.

    6. Suggestions or anything You'd like to add?
Have Phantron's PVE score count for all alliance members icon_e_smile.gif
  • A few weeks ago I stated that I'm leaving the game completely as soon as healing messup is announced.
I'm not completely sure the current thing is actually meant as announce and the "discussion" is only as good as it was for the Spiderman topic -- or the details are still in flux.

If you see me not showing up for a few days I probably uninstalled the game and burnt the bookmarks -- feel free to just drop me from alliance whenever it looks convenient.

I'll probably will leave a note, but reading more Ice **** may put me in some special mood.
  • It's so fcuking sad.

The day I felt like I want to be a more competetive player. The day when I started to care again.

They yet again show how deep in their **** we are.

I was so happy with all the covers I obtained in last 4 days.

And now... now I feel nothing.

    It's so fcuking sad.
  • It really is sad. I'm imagining how it would be like playing the current PvE with the new healing terms.
It... is... tinykitty-ed up. Factor another current PvP... Feel like I've been winded icon_evil.gif
  • Healing changes sucks. I don't know in what are the developers thinking icon_e_sad.gif instead of people buying health packs they will have tons of people leaving because of the wrong decissions icon_evil.gif

I feel just like Emeryt. Wowwwww we got a buch of covers we needed ... the new reward system for PvP is great ... we feel the will of being competitive again ... BUMP healing deads icon_twisted.gif

I will try to do the survey other day, today I'm not in a good mood [this doesn't change the fact that all of you are awesome icon_e_biggrin.gif ]

My Healing Opinion and why it's not the end of the world, just really annoying for a lot of people.

Yeah the healing thing is a bit odd, but I can say honestly I haven't had much of an issue. I have never, ever, ever used prologue healing, I don't have a Spiderman that's playable and I quit using OBW a long time ago. I have actually done a long time ago what D3 wanted and that is a diverse roster, albeit not as diverse as I want. I find the healing packs not much of an issue. The way to counter the issue is you need to play less marathon and more small sprints. If you try to run the last 2 to 3 hours, yeah, you are gonna have a health pack problem. But if you play the game in smaller bursts its actually very managble, trust me it can be done, I never use the healing system and I"m doing fine. What I do see happening is more shield usage as you will make a run and want to shield as not to lose ground, but I have found if you play in bursts, you generally make up the ground you lost pretty quickly and can easily jump on sprints. The last few hours is crazy and shields help, but until those last 3 hours you generally don't need them. And lets be honest, most of use run Patch and/or Daken anyway so they are turbo healers and a postive is that it does slow the big guns down, I'm talking about the max roster guys. They still have the multiple roster combo advantage but they wont' have the heal advantage and this does help with the insane Daken/Sentry combos as it won't be able to be abused as much.

I think it's one of those things you have to take in stride. If they nerf the healing mechanism, they may increase the heal values and I see hot dog stand getting an upgrade soon. Like most change people resist, but after awhile they either like it, hate it still, or realize it wasn't that big of a deal. In the meantime, I really suggest trying to do small sprints and less marathon, try to diversify your roster. For me, whatever PvP character is featured I try to put 5-10 lvls into them those days. Then go back to leveling my current target. I got HT up 7 levels and now I'm back to Daken. I'll do the same for GSBW in her upcoing tourney. I really suggest everyone though with these new changes to get your Daken's and Patch's in good working order as they are gonna be staples in most of your lineups since they heal faster than everyone. And remember........

The game is done once Season 3 ends as all the P2W people will have a lvl 230 Fury that you will never have.
  • lol... "feature"

They take away "true healing" from three of the characters... and get... nothing... in return?

That's not a feature by any definition.

That makes me curious. Let's see an example, current PVE. We have like 12 nodes there to play every 2.5 hours. I start to play them in point order using HT/IM40/cStorm. IM40 is essential in 3 most interesting, for the rest all my other options look sucking. At the start levels are 60 in essentials and just over 100 in daken nodes. Some damage is inevitable. In the morning I just played the 3 essentials, first started with a big cascade leaving the team at half health at end. I finished the 3rd match with 2 downs (starting at low health) as was not really playing.

When I made the full round I needed healing several times. Maybe after every 3-4 games.

So how do you manage all that damage without healing? This early on it might have actually fit in the 5 packs -- but just 20 more levels to daken nodes would turn the tide, soon every regular game will pick up 3-4k damage just from daken strikes and headbutts.

    How you handle this thing?

I avoid juggnaut till the end, I'll skip matches with him or ares since they are the ones that are gonna pop you hard. I can usually manage all the nodes without them no problem I rotate guys here and there. HT is really key in this event as is GSBW and Storm. Those three are doing the most damage. IM40 is just a tanky AP generator. But if you can get GSBW her AP it's game, or if you can get storm her blue it's game. When I go after Jugg and the lot I make sure to save health packs for IM40 and try to rottate the rest. I find Thor abit of a let down in this as his green doesn't do enough damage.

But all the juicy nodes have some juggs/ares/daken or combination, and plenty even feed green or red. On last run of the heroic I really did something similar, played just the low-point nodes many times but with the changed refresh it doesn't look promising for the *** range.

You also list 4 characters, it doesn't look much of a rotation to me. icon_e_smile.gif

On a different note, we have 13 nodes on the board, ideal play would be 34 games on each, like 450 games overall? some grindfest.

At least I see some rubberband and it is on all nodes again but massive amount of people keep grinding. And I'm already bored of the repeat plays. O,O
