I think Gambit would be really nice but I would love to see Jean Grey (and possibly Phoenix in the future!).

For the 2*, could be another version of Juggs or Venom (seeing most 1* have 2* versions). Wild guess.

X-Men: Hoping for Iceman or Nightcrawler (my personal favs). Beast would be cool too. But I'm betting on X-23 because she'll just be a mix n' match of various already-coded powers and D3 seems to love them some lazy.

Ice already confirmed it's 'not Piotr', although he and cyclops, Frost and Rogue are on the short list.

Phoenix would be an easy character for them to make multiple versions of. 2 star Marvel Girl, 3 star Phoenix, 4 star Dark Phoenix.

I love the way she was implemented in Marvel vs Capcom. Pity that won't translate well to this game.

Holy poop!

So I was in Doctor's Orders, right? Got up to 3rd in my bracket and tried to shield only to discover that I'd blown my HP on a roster slot yesterday and only had 25 left! ****! So now I gotta hit the 800 progression reward so that I can afford to shield. Only characters left with over 1000 health are Punisher and OBW but both are right about half dead. I need 57 points to hit 800. I pick out a 27 point Ares/Thor to target. The game is going decently. I take out Ares. Thor's down to nearly dead when he whips out a Call of the Storm.

OBW - dead.
Doom - dead.
Punisher down to 52 health after the match.

I have a Molotov at the ready, boom Thor is down. But Doom still has over 2K health and I'm one red away from throwing Retribution. I'm screwed. Only one match available and it's a damn environmental. Game over, right?

WRONG! Environmental match gives me a cascade that unleashes a match 5. Better yet, it's a red match 5!

Retribution. Doom is dead. I win. But I'm still 30 away from the 800 I need to shield, so it's all for naught.

Click through the rewards screen. Yay, 70 ISO. Big whoop. Wait, what's this? I've been attacked during the last game? Twice? And I won?

Back from what my wife calls "Math Camp." Did I miss anything exciting?

I need some advice. I've got the whole 'rotating roster' thing going since the healing change, but I'm not sure that I'm running the best lineups possible.

Here are the teams that I'm currently cycling through:
140 Punny/OBW
2* Cap/Moony
MNMags/cStorm
2* Thor/Ares

I do it in that order, leaving the big dogs out for my defense team.

This leaves aWolvie sitting on the sidelines without a dance partner (I mix metaphors like they were word cocktails). I also have a max covered mHawkeye that I could spend a week leveling to get him to max if it would be worth the ISO.

Would you recommend switching those teams up at all?

Exciting, no. We had a Simulator that was kinda okay, though still not enough will to create 6 subs worth of content only 3, they at least were run with a shift so you played different things after all due to different bosses. And Hard was actually hard this time around with pretty scaled essential nodes.

First, I think mHawkeye is not good for PvP. I use him (if ever at all) at PvEs. So... I won't level him.
For your teams, I think they are alright though I would think MNMags/cStorm and 2* Cap/Moony would become "unusable" as paired opponents get stronger when you get more points... I think OBW + Punny/Thor/Ares are all fine though I personally like Ares as he deals out damage fast. Wolvie can be paired with 2* Daken if you have him.

I do have him, but he's unusable with his lowly 2 covers right now. Cap/Moony is my 'reach' team - they're the ones who answer the call when I happen across a 40 pointer and I don't want to waste a health pack on one of the better teams. Their combined health is high enough that they rarely seem to get retaliated against.

When I see Moony, I tend to include Daken in my team to generate a quick strike tile to take away Gravity Warp.
OBW and her are the two that will make me change my team to counter their moves...
(Also, I like seeing the animation for Gravity too... )
I used to hit with OBW + Thor then use Ares/Thor as my last defence team but for her I'll swap one of them with Daken.
Usually if I see Moony/Cap, I'll use Ares + Daken and take down Cap fast with green since they both don't use it.

Looks like I can't hit Top 50 for Season 3 or make it for Top 5 in Krakadoom, was hoping to complete IM40 (need 2 reds).
Krakadoom was more competitive than I expected (or maybe just my luck with brackets).

Moonstone takes too much time to make use of Gravity Warp compared to other available options so it's bad for PvP where you're always pressed for time, and of course she gets countered badly by Daken though trading 8 purple for a red match 4 is not the worst thing you can do with 8 purple. With the level cap increase to 3* it's harder to use a 2* to tank for 3* in PvE so she loses some value there. Before the boosted 2*s can tank most colors for 3* so you might as well use them in PvE events while conserving your key 3*s for other stuff, like PvP.

So, season 3 has come to an end. That top 50 rank was pretty impressive, so kudos to all involved. Enjoy that shiny yellow Fury cover.

Anyway, I think this is a good time for us all to see what we'd like to do and where we're heading.

Personally, I have to admit where I'm reaching the point where I personally am running out of reasons to 'play hard', as it were. Assuming I can grab a Red Lazycap this PvE, I have every character other than MoStorm, Shulk, Fury and Tiny Torch maxed, and I have pretty much run out of characters that I want to push to their level limit. I'm close to doing so with Torch and then I guess I'll start leveling Hood, but there's no rush there.

I don't intend to stop playing, but I think that for any event that doesn't have one of those few covers I still need, it'll really depend on my mood and the event timing how much time/effort I'll put in. I'll try to keep an average of about 500 points per pvp, though, just to help keep us in alliance cover territory. But I think I'll be playing a bit more casual from now on.

How about the rest of you?
