Hi all,
I'm going to be leaving the game after season 2 ends. I started season 2 thinking I would try to be more casual, but it isn't in my nature to play casually. As such, the time commitment to play at the level I feel compelled to play at has become too much. The time commitment, coupled with the various negative changes to the game (well documented elsewhere) and the feeling that I've reached the limits of progression within the game lead me to think that the ending of season 2 is a good time to bow out.
I've had an absolute blast being a part of the scAvengers. I am not an MMO guy at all. MPQ is the first such game of this type that I have become heavily involved in. I applied when the alliance was forming on a whim, not having been active in the forum, and was surprised to be accepted. It was quite the experience to join forces with such MPQ luminaries as Moghwyn, Emeryt, Phantron, Pasa, Ungassis, etc. I have to say some of those early days of taking down top prize in PvE count as some of my best gaming memories. I feel like the current lineup is beginning to recapture that early spirit, and I wish you all luck in your future endeavors as an alliance.
Once the Fury cover is handed out for season 2, I'll post a message on the forum and leave the alliance. I want to write this now to give you all a heads up and a chance to find a replacement without much disruption.
Again, thanks all. It has been a good ride, and I wish you all the best.0 -
Well I'm pretty sure I'm back guys. I'm heading to a different camp whee I should have cell service if I don't I'll make sure I remove myself first chance I get. Sorry for my lacklustre performance lately hopefully I can get back to closer to what I was at before although likely not quite as high until nick fury starts being a reward.0

As expected S3 is already on us. They will probably repeat the last patern so the next PVP will also provide Storm covers (LoT round 2?) and the week closing with a LStorm tournament.0

Alright folks, the season 2 rewards have been handed out. Time for me to leave the game.
Thanks again for the good times and camaraderie, good luck!0 -
You'll be missed, Chops!0

I like your thread title Why so true0

People from other alliances actually post in your our thread. That's going to get some getting used to.0

They also raid the fridge and occasionally soil the carpet. But you get used to it.0

ATTENTION! viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9994
The losses are currently offered as retals! So whoever starts PVP by tanking better take it into account as for all the intended losses you may get a retaliation on that low level team later -- possibly when you already climbing.
Also if someone picks you as tank target, consider skipping it rather than using the chance, especially if low points.0 -
Thanks for the info Pasa ;D
If anyone needs to handle his MMR, it's better to use the season simulator. I don't have much time to play and I don't want to spend it loosing on purpose (although sometimes I think I should because I hate to figth only 2x141 + 212 featured since 0 points even when my featured is underleveled ...).
For PvP I never retaliate if they are lower than my score + 100 (only if the target is behind me in my bracket), and only attack +100 targets if available (sometimes I lose the iso bonus but this way I can get more points in less time ).0 -
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10050&view=unread#unread Djangoliers have an idea why the event greyed out for some of the players. Worth reading.0

I'll add the following post by Lyrian to that, since IMO he's one of the most knowledgeable players around as far as game mechanics go. This sounds pretty feasible, especially since his experience pretty much matches my own:Lyrian wrote:I have the bug as well...
And from my perspective, the problem is fairly easy to identify.... but hard to determine a workaround.
Essentially, the MMR bucket system is not working properly. When player hit a new MMR "floor", the system is failing to transfer the player to the new bucket. So, players are running out of playable nodes, as they are outpace the players in one bucket, not are not being transferred to the next bucket. The bug hit me trying to transfer from the 1* bucket to the 2** bucket.
Trying to see if I can manually inflate my MMR in the simulator to see the next bucket and repop the nodes in Cat-5, but I don't think I can get my score high enough in the next 45 minutes (or win enough fights consecutively) to test my theory.0
