If you are looking for two players, I [DaerPL] and brother [DonTick] can gladly join. We are from X-Poles, so I believe some of our former members can vouch for our activity;) In PVE I even have Mikaelst in brakcet Don has only few less points than me.
But I will say frankly that in PVP worse, the lack of prospects for prizes slightly reduced pressure for results - I first two or three gave up [atm total about 4600, the simulator didn't started], Don even more [total of about 2500, also without the simulator]. But the prospects awards will surely change our attitude, Don can promise about 700 in future pvp's. As for me, I have Ldaken, Patch, Lthor and CMagn at 141e, so 800pt do without effort, I can fight for more if it needed.
Sorry for my grammar
Best regards,

PS.
The problem is that we have only one free stop, am I right?0 -
Yeah these guys are two great candidates, hope we can add them when it's possible.
DaerPL and I are engaged in a really close fight for first place in our bracket in PvE. Oh how I want those sweet Sentry covers..0 -
Phaser and I are looking into the possibilities for this. Stay tuned.0

"True" healing is among us, so ...
1. How do you feel about this change?
2. Have you change your time play, strategy, ... since the go-live?
3. Are you going to ignore some events in order to stay competitive? (PvP, PVE, LR, simulator, ...)
3. Have you think about giving up?
4. Anything you’d like to add? Useful advices?
1. How do you feel about this change?
I think it was unnecessary, a backstab for players that enjoyed this game. I'm a steam player so can't play when my HP are at five, I just play when I have time, not when D3 wants to ...
2. Have you change your time play, strategy, ... since the go-live?
My playtime remains the same, late at night and before going to work (aka when I can).
My A team (CMags/Patch keeps on rocking) is the same, I'm trying to level LThor and Daken in order to rotate teams before the Mag Nerf hit us. By now I keep the same pace at PvP but PvE now is a pain in the ****, a bad board could mean -3HP (at least in heroics with 8 limited characters)
3. Are you going to ignore some events in order to stay competitive? (PvP, PVE, LR, simulator, ...)
My priority will always be PvP. I enjoy PvE and it's a great place to gather Iso but play the same node 'N' times each refresh to keep the lead and lose everything because you can't play the last hours is sick. I only hit Simulator the week before the end of the Season, you can find 40+ fights and make a great score in that time (playing the last PvP at the same time). Now I only play LR if there is nothing else to do just to reach 100.
4. Have you think about giving up?
Yes, every time they hit us with the stick (my Rag was under covered so not much frustration there; I sold my Thor and leave my 2** wolverine bleeding in a corner, now I got Spiderman in the bench to; MMR hell isn't fun and I think I will start tanking, ...; CMag will be next ...) but in the end I enjoy this game and I just try to adapt myself to this changes.
5. Anything You'd like to add? Useful advices?
They ask us to have roster diversity but they don't give us more Iso, so if you don't have it already is hard to tell.
For PvP, going on with non maxed characters is a bad idea, so I just try to push hard from the start of the PvP and shield a day before when I hit 900+ (I'm European and I'm at work or sleeping at ending times so not much difference). After this change I try to wake up early in order to make a final push if needed.
I think now having a couple of heavy hitters/self healing characters will make the difference. As I said I will try to max Über Daken and LThor/Sentry as soon as I gather the Iso (and covers ).0 -
1. How do you feel about this change?
Eh. I think it's a legitimate pain in the backside for those in the 2*-3* transition because OBW's healing really helped you out there. But personally, I never prologue healed anyway, and rarely used OBW anymore in a PvP because she's a walking target.
2. Have you change your time play, strategy, ... since the go-live?
Not really. Patch/Daken was already pretty much my go-to team. With Thor and Punisher (and soon Torch) as backup.
3. Are you going to ignore some events in order to stay competitive? (PvP, PVE, LR, simulator, ...)
I barely play the simulator until the end of the season as it is, and barely play lightning rounds because I find them incredibly dull (I iso-farm seed teams every now and then, but that's as far as it goes). I did notice that I had to time the previous PvE and Hotshot really well because of the Torch overlap in the rosters, and him taking so many hits in the PvP.
3. Have you think about giving up?
Nah. Frustration levels with the game are pretty low. Having most of the covers already takes a lot of pressure off of tourneys.
4. Anything you’d like to add? Useful advices?
OBW's healing isn't completely useless now, but you need to fire it off at the right time so it can act as a bit of a buffer. That does mean you already ate 1000 damage or so, of course, but still. Daken and Patch are even better now than they already were, and should be a leveling priority for any player that has them.0 -
Normally we play the game, here the game plays you...
The most hated thing for me was always that it forces certain schedule to keep strictly -- many other players around reported the same and those who quit then said it was so fine to NOT set the buzzer. Or in the 'I snapped post' telling they killed it and the game with it, and what a relief.
When events naturally align with when you play it is okay. Bending the real life occasionally also. But doing that continually?
And in this regard not just we had no improvement, the game shifts more and more ahead. It's clearly stated the devs have in their mind the one true way and force it through series of updates killing any homemade deviation and escape routes systematically.
Of the existing formats the regular PVP is probably still the most adjustment-friendly, at least for those not mind to spend on shields and are okay with the 2 cover placements. What still shall leave room to progress.
A trivial path to adjust is to just drop PVE completely. The supposed disadvantage of not playing PVE is not having the first set of the new character that hoses one ... in the next PVE. It does not apply really if you're out of that arena. The same covers are normally offered soon in PVP and can be gained with fragment of work and avoiding a deal of frustration.
For those who are bending their life to MPQ demands but plan to stay around in long term I seriously suggest consider some measures like that.0 -
For PvE, it depends on the event, but this event I'm trying starting subs at about 7 hours before the end and doing 3 full runs. Rubberbanding is strong enough to keep me in the sub top 5 and I think I should be good for top 20 (maybe top 10) with little to no grinding.
For PvP I tend to do two runs per event: one to take me up to 500-600, and then 8-3 hours before the end (depending on end time) I do one more run up to 1000 or so and shield for the rest of the event.
This way it's been quite manageable. Monday morning on the train home from my girlfriend's place I actually found myself playing simulator matches because I didn't have any events to play.0 -
1. How do you feel about this change?
To be honest, so far it isn't as bad as I imagined. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, it actually makes you think about the game more.
I have the luxury of playing a few times a day though, I think this change would really affect those who can only play once or twice a day.
Staying positive for now!
2. Have you change your time play, strategy, ... since the go-live?
For PvE, I really plan and allocate my team and health packs when the levels get high. I used to just do mindless grinding, just go through it each time.
Now, I do steamroll through it initially at low levels, then at high levels I think of maximising points per effort and using as little packs as possible.
For PvP, I used to play in a spurt or two with the same team but I play more times now (about 4x) with around 3 teams.
MNMag + Storm, Thor + Ares, Patch + HT (both are at lvl 77). OBW, Pun are not in the mix as I use them for PvE.
After 700 or so I stick to Thor + Ares with health packs. Surprisingly, I have been able to get top 5 for the past 2 events.
3. Are you going to ignore some events in order to stay competitive? (PvP, PVE, LR, simulator, ...)
I tend to ignore LR more now but it's just as it's boring to me and has nothing to do with the change. I need the ISO though.
4. Have you think about giving up?
Nope. I always wondered when I'll give up and I don't see it anytime soon. Perhaps when I start to get busy with work.
(I'm taking a long break now...)
5. Anything you’d like to add? Useful advices?
Ask stuff in the chat! A lot of useful advice is given out there from the experienced guys, especially Phantron.
Oh and don't stop using OBW. She's still one of the best, I find her really useful in the current PvE.
Her blue is still very useful for slowing down timers (saved me from Maggia and World Ruptures many times).0 -
1. How do you feel about this change?
Its not as bad as I anticipated. I'm still running OBW in some teams. But prevents me from doing marathon sessions(0 to 900 in a single sitting). Kind of annoyed that the self titled "casual game" is no longer on my schedule. I'm on the cusp of transitioning away from OBW anyway, so won't effect me for long. I do hate how the average PVP scores seemed to have taken a massive hit right after.
2. Have you change your time play, strategy, ... since the go-live?
See #1
3. Are you going to ignore some events in order to stay competitive? (PvP, PVE, LR, simulator, ...)
I've pretty muched dropped LR already. If I happen to be on when one starts, I'll hit the seed teams til they go away, but otherwise I ignore it entirely. I've considered a non-pve approach, as I think it would create an ideal situation for me(could take a day off between PVP events). But obviously I don't want to let down the alliance, so I trudge through it.
3. Have you think about giving up?
Not really. Sure, I have my knee jerk moments, but nothing too serious.
4. Anything you’d like to add? Useful advices?
Depending on who you are getting matched up with, consider a lesser team to start off a PVP. I usually can run mnmags/cstorm up to 150-200 before needing to switch to due to character health . You might get hit for a few points here and there, but you have saved yourself a couple health packs not using your go-to team right out the gate.0 -
1. How do you feel about this change?
I really don't mind it. In fact, I think I might enjoy the game a bit more now truthfully. I was getting bored with running the same team for every event. Now I'm running the same three teams for every event but I'm working on getting Ares up to snuff so I can make it four teams.
2. Have you change your time play, strategy, ... since the go-live?
Yes, I've been playing in shorter spurts but a lot more often.
3. Are you going to ignore some events in order to stay competitive? (PvP, PVE, LR, simulator, ...)
I pretty much always ignore LRs since I never seem to be around when they start. I haven't touched Simulator since the change. Since PVP now requires pretty much my full roster, I always find myself having no one left to use in the Simulator.
4. Have you think about giving up?
Not for a second. I don't have an addictive personality. I used to play in Heroclix tournaments twice a week. Literally every good friend I have right now was met at those tournaments. Then one day, Heroclix changed. They introduced cards and personalized powers, and it was no longer fun. I never went to another tournament. I just up and quit. No muss, no fuss. I play for entertainment and the moment I stop being entertained, I'll stop playing. But until that day, I'm still enjoying myself. Even more so now that I'm in a good group.
5. Anything You'd like to add? Useful advices?
I'm kicking myself for selling all of those Daken covers everytime they came up. And for pumping ISO into all of my 3*s instead of Ares and MNMags. But in my defense, I don't like those characters so I didn't care if they were on my team or not. Now I need all the 2* help I can get. I dropped a fully loaded (not leveled, just covered) Daken from my roster to make room for a Loki because I didn't have the HP for a new slot. None of this is useful advice - I just thought you'd enjoy laughing at how stupid I was.0 -
By the way, who do you guys think the new characters are going to be?
Ice hinted that there would be one new X-Men character (presumably a 3-star), and that it wouldn't be Cyclops, Emma Frost, Rogue or Colossus.
I'm quietly hoping for my personal fave, Nightcrawler, but I think Gambit might be more likely, or possibly Iceman.
The other would be a 2-star, but since that's all there is known, that's probably anybody's guess. Could be a new version of an existing character for all we know.0 -
Where can I read about there being a new 2*? Must have missed it!0

It was a comment in the Level Shift thread:IceIX wrote:As for other characters, Void and Iron Patriot are a little off still. I know we've got Normy's art done, but unless someone was ninja-designing, his moves aren't ready yet. We've got another X-Men coming somewhat soon, as well as another 2* (!) character to give a break from the 3* rush that has happened recently. Other than that, we've got some others that are starting into the pipe but not far enough along (or that I'm allowed to) tease.
As well as:IceIX wrote:kensterr wrote:2 questions for ICEIX
1. Scott, Emma, Piotr or Anna Marie as the next X-Men cover
2. Is this level shift going to affect someone like Flo98 who has a one page roster only, but 2 141s? Is this going to make them want to get more 3* or going to make more people follow his tactic of having 2 maxed 141s?
2) Flo's a weird situation since he (she?) does everything in their power to maximize their MMR and minimize required fights. It works really well for PVP if you've got the time, but it also means that outside of some luck on Heroic character selects and careful roster management on Episodes, PVE Events are extremely difficult to place well in. Flo definitely works off an edge case for gameplay styles.0 -
Second I've seen, first somehow missed. Thanks a lot!
I'd kill for a Nightcrawler/Mystique/Gambit/Quicksilver/etc with actually nice powers and unique color schemes.0
