I avoid juggnaut till the end, I'll skip matches with him or ares since they are the ones that are gonna pop you hard. I can usually manage all the nodes without them no problem I rotate guys here and there. HT is really key in this event as is GSBW and Storm. Those three are doing the most damage. IM40 is just a tanky AP generator. But if you can get GSBW her AP it's game, or if you can get storm her blue it's game. When I go after Jugg and the lot I make sure to save health packs for IM40 and try to rottate the rest. I find Thor abit of a let down in this as his green doesn't do enough damage.

But all the juicy nodes have some juggs/ares/daken or combination, and plenty even feed green or red. On last run of the heroic I really did something similar, played just the low-point nodes many times but with the changed refresh it doesn't look promising for the *** range.

You also list 4 characters, it doesn't look much of a rotation to me. icon_e_smile.gif

On a different note, we have 13 nodes on the board, ideal play would be 34 games on each, like 450 games overall? some grindfest.

At least I see some rubberband and it is on all nodes again but massive amount of people keep grinding. And I'm already bored of the repeat plays. O,O

Those 4 are key, I just use them as a primary and rotate around them here and there. I have found Hawkeye very good in this event btw.
  • FYI, Emeryt gained the status of "first MPQ Martyr". Banned from the forum for "prank" or "major abuse of powers" depending on POV. Possibly it will be shortened also possibly it will not.

Also as the healing-related **** hits the fan the alliance will need several members for replacement, those who stay should start to work on recruitment starting immediately for best results.

I hope Phaser will take the burden of coordination.

Working on it as well, seeing how Em passed the commander mantle/burden/insert noun here on to Phaser and myself. Recruitment thread going up in a minute.

Is there anyone else quitting over this?

not me, I say bring on the new changes. they may suck for a bit, but I think overall this is going to help the game
  • Ok, this doesn't seem so important now, with the other stuff going on. But I'll answer anyway as I been kinda invisible in the forums for a while.
    1. How do You feel the game recently? Satisfied? Yeah, a bit. Interested where this is going. Although the game would really benefit from some more variety.
    2. How do You feel in our alliance? Couldn't be happier. This alliance is competitive without being hardcore or pushy. Good mix of old and new players and I enjoy the funny and helpful spirit in the chat. Emeryt you will be missed! icon_cry.gif
    3. Satisfied with Alliance' and Your personal rankings? Absolutely.
    4. Any current achievements You'd like to share with us? That would be all the times I interrupt my beauty sleep to grind just a little before end of whatever tournament is finishing. Guess we've all been there though.
    5. You prefer PvP or PvE or like both? PvP is way more fun. I like the rank climbing and hoping that I scored just enough for the reward I'm after. PvE is pretty grindy but ok as well.
    6. Suggestions or anything You'd like to add? I might as well introduce myself. 31, M from Stockholm, Sweden. Swedish/Polish heritage. Former member of X-Poles (like a few others in the alliance icon_rolleyes.gif ). Coffee addict, rugby player and love Zelda games and X-men. Oh and I'm on day 155.

Depending on the final set of changes, me. They already issued increasing regeneration rate, maybe they find enough sense to gather something with remote chance to stand up before dumping on the game.

IIRC Kevin mentioned similar on the chat.

I will not be leaving, will continue though grumbling. Let's see how the gameplay changes and how to adapt with it then.
See you Emeryt, it was fun/informative reading your posts and all. Thanks for everything.

PS: My bio is posted in the previous in-case you need it (iirc it was asked in the chat).

1st a minute of silence for Emeryt icon_cool.gif
    Here we go
    1. How do You feel the game recently? Satisfied?
Sometimes I feel great (new structure for PvP and PvE rewards, Iso share from alliance, ...) other awfull (lost of great people because of burned out and several bad decisions). I keep enjoying this game, but I would like to see that we are heard.
    2. How do You feel in our alliance?
As I have said a lot of times, you are a great crew icon_e_biggrin.gif I feel awesome and want to keep on rocking as hard as I can in order to support the new players transitioning to the 3 stars. I will keep on pushing in each PvP and helping in each PvE as much as I can even if I don't need the covers.
    3. Satisfied with Alliance' and Your personal rankings?
    Absolutely.
    4. Any current achievements You'd like to share with us?
I keep myself motivated XD XD XD
    5. You prefer PvP or PvE or like both?
Lightning Rounds, PvE and PVP where my favorites in that order before the changes at LR (no 3*** covers granted, lower 3*** probability from tokens, ...) and the grindfest needed and bad ending times for PvE (GMT+1). Now I prefer PvP (even with my nightmare MMR) because I get more covers in less time, PvE is the best place for ISO and LR now are just a get 100 points run (just for ISO and standard tokens).
    6. Suggestions or anything You'd like to add?
I enjoy a lot the chat and the forum. Thanks to all for sharing your knoledge (special mention to Phantron icon_e_wink.gif you are our PvE guru icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Bye Emeryt, you went out with a bang.
I feel like we are ship wreck survivors.

The healing stuff went live extra fast without any change (latter expected, former some surprise). As I said earlier I'm suspending play for some -- probably long -- time.

If they post a PVE with Falcon covers I'll probably go in for some rumble as I still miss one and probably need respec too. Or if they launch a new episode PVE.

There's some light chance I add some points to juggs during the next pair of football matches today then really that's it.

EDIT: Also would go for LD covers. But not for Sentry or She-hulk despite being incomplete.

Understandable. In that case, as much as I will miss you in alliance chat, we probably need a more active member (also because you told us to kick you out as soon as it was convenient... not before Juggs ends though).

Phaser, you want to have a go at recruiting this time? We might want to look for a more competitive-type player, that's probably more your strong suit.
  • Howdy ya'll!

I'm the new blood here and I was told to tell you a little bit about myself: If I had to describe my life, I'd compare it to one of those 80's movies that you find at the video store and think might be kinda funny and at least you'll get to see a lot of **** but when you get it home and start watching you find that it's really just an hour and a half of Eddie Deezen. Yeah, that about sums it up perfectly.

Seriously though, I'm a veteran, an inner-city math teacher, and a regular contributor to Cracked. I even got to design one of their official shirts (not yet for sale) so that's cool. I'm happy to be here and look forward to being a part of a kickass team.
  • They just look like Lazy Daken and IM40 XD XD XD
  • I find it hilarious that we have a Lazy Daken since plain old normal Daken is already the laziest character in the Marvel Universe.

Daniel Way: "I came up with a great new original character today!"
    Any Other Writer: "Oh yeah?"
DW: "Yeah, he's got retractable claws, heightened senses, and a healing factor!"
    AOW: "So... He's Wolverine?"
DW: "No he's evil so it's original."
    AOW: "So he's Sabretooth."
DW: "No because he shares some of Wolverine's DNA."
    AOW: "So it's X-23?"
DW: "*sigh* You just don't get my genius."
  • So first impressions after the changes? As predicted, complete screw to ** players?
  • pasa_ wrote:

    Exactly.
In addition, probably because of my good results in 2 previous PvPs I have almost all 100+ opponents. No chance to good result in actual PvP without huge effort, like playing every 2,5 hours (after HPs refill). I'm thinking about quit...
  • Hard to tell yet. The juggy event didn't have obw. And the first PVP afterwards was GSBW, so no OBW there either.

So far, only prologue healing has been effected. Which affects players of any level.

I do like the heal rate increase, as my characters can get fully healed much faster during my casual play times(played the HP event in 20 minute chunks every couple hours today with everyone healed up max/close to max without the need to use a health pack). But I'm expecting losing OBW during the intense play times is going to hurt. I don't have a diverse 3* roster(ie still in transition), so I don't have a backup plan for when my main characters go down.
  • pasa_ wrote:

For now, it's manageable but I haven't faced any crunch times yet.

    PvE
In heroic Juggs towards the end, everyone was rushing like crazy so there isn't much time to heal anyway. I relied on boosts more.
I think it would be difficult when there are many nodes and a limited roster to use (like heroics). You have to spread your team out and use health packs sparingly.
It might be good though that you really have to think about how to get maximum points with your roster and when to use a health pack.
(Bad if you get up in the middle of sleep and don't want to think; just want to grind and sleep ASAP icon_e_wink.gif )

    PvP
I can't be sure yet as I haven't gone through the mad rush from the final few hours.
For now, I just split my teams into MNMag + CStorm, Wolvie + Daken, OBW + Ares/Thor and go through it.
I keep skipping till I find favourable matches and play in bursts of a couple of hours and end with my strongest team (OBW + Ares/Thor).
I can only judge from my final points and ranking to see how much it affects me...
  • I'm with Rukawa. I am a 2* player and at this exact moment, I'm actually kind of liking the change. I really really didn't expect that. However once I have a few completed events under my belt with the new rules I may change my tune. It's just too early to pass any real judgment.

Should have a better idea by the time Blind Justice ends.
  • We've fallen off of page 1, so I thought it was time to share that I just attacked a guy whose username was FartLOL.

    I like that guy.
