Yeah I knew the competition for Fury was going to be ridiculous from the start so I accepted the fact I wouldn't be making top 10 in PvE, didn't need Psylocke covers, so I'd put in nominal effort towards alliance score.

Been focusing on PvP all weekend. I was shooting for 1300 IW cover in Spidey but after a shield hop that went badly it looks like that may not be happening. Additionally I was shooting for 2400 Red Cap cover in SIM but that seems like it's going to take a bit too much time/effort (and HP) at this point as well. I'll have to settle with top 25 season ranking and (possibly) highest in our alliance

I hope you all are having a great summer! I haven't been able to check in as much as I'd like, but I was wondering what everyone thought of the Combined Arms PvP?

Balance of Power is a pretty neat concept. I played through a few battles last night. I like that you get to see some characters that don't get as much use and we don't have to deal with the same old combos as usual.

I'm using a team of Patch, OBW, and Modern Storm. I guess none of those are really that unusual on their own but it's a not a typical pairing. It's a good change of pace.

It's a nice PvP idea that's been mentioned in the forum for ever so I'm glad they finally got around to doing it.

Really like this PvP. Here are some of the combos I've tried and faced.

My teams so far:
C.Storm/IM35/Psylocke (vs. LThor/OBW/IM35)
Falcon/Daken/IM35 (vs. Sentry/Daken/m:Storm)
BP/Thor/C.Black Widow (vs. GSBW/Wolvie/IM35) - Really nice combo, lots of HP and all colours covered and a stun available for emergencies.

I'll be trying loads of combos but I'm not sure how well I'll do. Whenever 1* are boosted you want to have Juggs for a meat shield and I'm missing him and venom.

I do still need human torch covers so I'll probably take this one seriously.

Morning Bears - Thanks for inviting me in for season 4, was a great ride and a good solid finish. Looking forward to Season 5.

I almost shield hopped in Spidey to get my 800 pts, I had 1 match queued up that would have got me over, but hearing about the blood bath in the last hour I'm glad I didn't! Still got top top 25 so 2 covers personally, woohoo.

Combined Arms - not played a match yet, but think it won't be as fun as Balance of Power, will be playing with my lone max 3* and 1 of 2 1*s that I have most the time, so only a slight variety from my 2* roster. At least BoP had a little more roster variety encouraged. Would be neat if they Scaled Down instead of Up, and somehow levelled ALL characters in my roster to the same (lvl 10 or something random), then you'd get true variety and crazy character combos being tried.

Personally, I think Balance of Power favored one and two star characters way too highly. I like that they're trying out new ideas to have good reasons to use these characters but the one stars especially don't tend to have powers that are all that fun or interesting and were not designed with level 270 in mind and simply scaling them up that much doesn't level the playing field. I'm liking Combined Arms much more so far. The scaling isn't so extreme and you are forced to think outside the box for team composition.

Just got my Season 4 rewards of two 10-packs. I want to hold off on opening them until they release Cpt. Marvel and Deadpool into the pack options but it will be hard to not hit that button.

There's really not a ton of covers I need at this point, I really just need ISO more than anything. But here's my cover wishlist:
Falcon - Blue (respec)
Sentry - Yellow
L.Thor - Green x2, Yellow x1
Invis Woman - Blue (respec)
Black Panther - Black
X-Force - Red (respec)
L.Cpt. America - Red (respec)
Mohawk Storm... I don't even know but I'm at 12/13
DeadPool - Purple x3, Black x1
Cpt. Marvel - Black x2, Yellow x3

So that's 10 in the current pool that I would be happy to get, 4 of which are just respecs though, then 9 more not yet available in packs. So, yeah, probably worth holding off a bit if I can manage it. The odds will still be exceedingly low but at least better than 0%

I apologize for not posting our battle speech as I usually do. There was so much going on during the final hours! Bears were all over the map! Hulk PVE, Webslinger, Shield training and we were trying to fire on all cylinders! Two of our members even nabbed top10 in PVE!

In the past, our season ends have discussed casualness versus competition. This season, it is about alliance.

Hey DD, what about your 10-pack(s)?

I got 4 season tokens and Patch Red from one of them which I don't really need as I'm running 5/3/5.

The PvE reward system got screwed up and I didn't receive a Psylocke for my 61st rank but I don't need her so I can't be bothered with customer service. Besides, they'll tell me to wait 24h before reporting an issue and I'll probably have forgotten it by tomorrow

Entering the PvE on the last day wasn't the worst idea. I got top 100 by only hitting all nodes maybe 5 refreshes so that's minimal effort. However I think I was one of the late entrants in my bracket as the top players were already at 10-15K when I entered so there was no chance of catching them.

I installed the new update so I could clear out my Team-Up inventory. I also tried utilizing the teamup sharing function which apparently works by making a big spammy message on the chat log. So, sorry about that. I am in no dire need of teamups so please don't lock yourself out of using a character to give me any.

I got 104th in the season so only a 5 pack for me (or maybe a 4 who knows I havent checked). Great job on the PVE. I just couldnt maintain the interest and focus to contribute more. Its been a fun season 4 popping in and out. Considering that was my vacation month and I said I was done I still got almost 11K season points. Like I mentioned yesterday I will be pulling out the Stare today. I will probably continue playing PVP here and there, but Im gonna take the next 2 weeks off.

I usually never update early, but this one seemed too interesting to pass up (200+ mb??? on Android?)
I'm gonna send you all some people and make a big spammy request too. For science.

Depending on how it's implemented and how long it takes for them to come back, I can see them trying to get us build multiple versions of the same characters. One for using and one for sharing. This, in turn, requires more slot purchases, more cover hoarding, and finally, more ISO.

I'm having fun with Combined Arms. Current fave team is MStorm, Daken, Falcon -- added bonus of no overlapping AP skills so that AI literally cannot misplay it. Green, strike tiles, yellow, hailstorm, yellow, die. repeat.

2*s used to come in two flavors for me: Baby Torch Red, and 250 ISO. Now they come in one flavor.

Speaking of Moonstone, her Photon blast did 7K+ damage boosted in this current event. That's not bad.

You did very well in Season 4, five positions above SF! We're glad we both made top 50 to get the ultimate prize - the IW cover. Wow.

You have outranked us in every PvE of late. We respectfully envy you.

Good experimenting on those TUs all. It's finally nice to see some additional alliance benefits, even though the benefit is very small and the cost is very high. Does that even count as a benefit anymore?

Crypto and adam organized some thoughts in the War Room. If I were to create an extra cover slot or two dedicated for TUs loaners, which would you all prefer?
