I will gladly welcome the nerfbat to my favorite Marvel character as long as I don't feel like I would almost 100% need to have him to win against these lvl 230 fights. If they nerf spidey we'd better see a change in the mechanics of how these fights work cause right now you need to keep at least 1 if not two of the enemies locked down or they very quickly eat you. My poor Black Widow is quite the trooper going out there on the front lines trying to steal me some AP to get met with the AI miracle cascade and get blown up in 2 moves. lol

These level 230 fights are really quite the slog. I could potentially see being able to completely wreck them if I had a high level Marvel Now Magneto or Classic Mags to pair with Punisher/Patch and Spidey. Unfortunately both my Magnetos are in their 20s lacking covers to warrant me leveling them up. I have fun the first time through the map or if I'm able to come up with some kind of miracle win requiring luck and planning every so often but at this point after the last PvE event and this one my eyes are bleeding from the constant string of 10k+ HP enemies with moves that will 1 shot you if you don't make 100% sure you are able to deny them getting that specific color they need. Maybe we could have a couple of these styles of nodes mixed with a variety of levels and points just to mix things up a bit? Anyway, I'm rambling... Back to grinding everyone!

If they nerfed Spiderman, the 230X3 levels will quickly drop in level the same way the Devil Dino + Bagman (which you cannot use Spiderman at all) actually dropped to a level where it was possible to beat it using a variety of rosters. The reason why these missions stay at 230X3 is because the guys with Spiderman are still beating them fine and keeping the levels at 230X3.
  • Ugh, so burned out on these ten day PVE events. I want to stop but I'm top 5 and feel like all my previous effort would go to waste. (Definite first world problem I know)

First world problem is when tied for #2 is a bad place to be.
  • I just want assault tokens for a chance at Psylocke and top 10 for the three Black Panther covers.

    But this grind. Geez.

It has encouraged me to pump up Punisher from 65 to 90. Retribution, you were made for PvE.

Also those buffed 141 Hulks or other tanks icon_e_wink.gif

I don't even want top 2 since I don't even need the cover, just going after those damn panthers

Yeah this grind is painful even using 110+ Punisher and Mag. I have no idea how people can bear this grind with less offensive teams.

I know what you mean. By the end of the each sub I am usually #1-2 and although my 4* Wolverine is only 2/0/0 and wouldn't benefit much from an extra cover since I don't plan to level him any time soon. So I am mostly interested in BP, but it does feel like a shame to just give up on #1-2. I may not have an option anyway since I will be away the last day and I am not sure will be able to play.

Next time I will do what I did with the Simulator and enter in the last 3-4 days. Hopefully this way I will land in a late main bracket and enjoy the event for these days having decent chance to get a top 50 and some rewards from the subs. Imho, events should last 4-5 days. Anything longer than that is too tiring and restricting. It feels like returning from work, only to find you have to work even in home.

On the bright side, there is significantly less grinding for this event than previous events. I'm finding that I only need to do each mission ~twice per clear, and 2 clears per sub, which is a lot less than events such as the Hulk where you had to grind the nodes down to 0. I'm guessing this is because that the scaling is making missions pretty annoying/impossible to do for a lot of people, and thus they won't spend as much effort on the nodes either.

You posted this awhile back and I've been following suit and usually end up 1st in the sub bracket as well.... I joined a very non competitive main bracket too it seems, hoping it stays this way until the end.
  • Yeah I don't have to do too many missions and still end up 1st usually. Which is great. Thinking back on the Hulk, that was a nightmare. Having to finish about 20 fights per sub, per refresh, just to stay in first.

Certainly got a lot more guaranteed hulks back then. My psyclocke's still 1/1/1 from a pvp tourney. Le sigh.

Yep. Top 5, if not top 2 for every hard bracket and top 10 in easy, with #1 to #3 in my main. I have been leaving hundreds if not a few thousand on the board each time bc I cant get myself to grind those missions 3 or 4x unless they are giving out 300+ pts. Original plan was just make top 75 for 1 BP but jumping to top 10 so quickly I feel vested to continue.
  • Curious how the main brackets stack up. The current #1 in mine is 70,065, with #5 being 60525 and #10 being 52,816. It's probably not a super competitive bracket because I think I missed the first sub entirely. Feel free to throw out your numbers.

When did you join the event? I'm leading mine with 85k, 2nd/3rd above 80k, 4th-7th around 70k, with 10th being 65k.

    84.5k (me), 77k is #5 and 72k is #10.

At 81,105 in 2nd with 1st at 81,817, and 10th at 71,627. After tonight's subs close I'll probably be about 87-88K or so (maybe 90K if I grind it down hard). With 3 days left, that gives me a shot at the 8K ISO prog reward, which would be grand, but not necessary for me to feel good about this event.

Current #1 in my bracket is at 88,736, #5 at 78,692, and #10 at 73,418. I haven't been grinding much at all, so I've slipped behind quite a bit. Probably won't get any BP covers at this point, but I'm not too disappointed. I'll be able to start respec'ing Wolvie and I'm sure I'll get some BP covers from upcoming events.
  • My main is quite low. When Russia ended I was #1 with 70k. Right now the top is at 75k so for now the 8k ISO is definitely not doable. Does this mean that some high progression rewards can be left out of reach because someone happened to be on the bracket that stayed low, or will rubberbanding help near the end of the event? I thought rubberbanding was increasing the points based on the highest main bracket and if what you say is true there are plenty brackets out there that are at 85k+.

Also, does anyone know if there is rubberbanding within each bracket? For example, if a player is way ahead in #1, is the game giving extra points to those that are behind?

Rubberbanding for each subbracket is based off of the global subbracket leader: theres no rubberbanding within a main bracket. Assuming everyone in your bracket maintains their current pace, rubberbanding won't help you gain lost points back. The later missions tend to be worth more points than earlier missions though, so you might be able to make up lost ground this way if your opponents slack off.
