I have been joining subs only when there is no time for any refreshes, then saving the matches until the last hour. Usually guarantees some tokens and usually a top 5 in the easy bracket. My mob levels are respectable too, the odd 230 but usually 115-145 so the minimal playing must be keeping then down.

The thing is I was easy 200-300 in the main bracket. But now since the R48 patch came down I somehow am 48th in the main. Has to be the boost changes. If that somehow holds or I get higher I will be amazed. I do not feel like grinding PvE events ever since I worked so hard in TaT and got rubber banded out of first in the last 5 minutes down to 4th. So If I can get a new cover I will take it.

Just waiting on my two cap tokens.

I don't know how you do it. I ground down all the stacks in Russia each refresh, still only ended up in top 75 for my sub - completely annihilated in my main now, down from ~#60 to ~#120 in the space of about 36 hours. This event will be a complete whitewash for me - I probably would have been better served by entering on the last day.

You had to do some bad timing. I did 3 clears and finished on 2nd place. Could have easly go for first but didnt want to make any more effort since I'm leading my main bracket by 10k points. For future start bit later and figure out how many clears you want to do. Rubber banding will help you with catching up.

Hard ISO mission requires 144 million points; Easy requires 175 million.

Will either actually be unlocked this time around?

Yeah, you must have really misjudged the timing - you need to make sure your last refresh occurs in the waning moments of the sub-event.

I gave myself 2 hours - is that too much?

Edit: Anyway, I'm not going to complain too much. I get screwed on about 90% of end times for events and that's not going to change but MPQ is just a game, and not one I'm willing to get too hung up over something like this. But thanks for the advice - I just think, for future events, I'll just join in the last few hours to push for finish rewards and ignore long progression rewards.

No, but that's weird that you have so little points. In this sub alone there was about 7k minimum just for doing one clear per refresh.

I may have screwed up my timings on day 2. I pushed hard early on, but then slipped. IceIX said something about this event is supposed to rubber-band based on other players at the same ranking in different brackets; I might be amongst the highest points for my rank in the main, which if I understand correctly, would lower the rubber banding I'm getting.

If I am understanding correctly, it only reinforces my plan of "join and play furiously with 2 hours left on the last day".

Hmmm. So with it only being 24 hours I'm thinking I shouldn't touch it tonight, do it tomorrow morning early with nice rubber banding and then again right before it closes with nice rubberbanding. Though I'm third overall in the main until a few minutes ago so I'm worried about only doing 2 clears. What do you think?

The rubberband is only on each sub bracket's overall leader. If you were 10K behind the leader (and let's just say he's also always the sub bracket leader for simplicity), your rubberband modifier is based on whatever he scores in the new sub bracket, not whatever he scores + 10K (his overall lead on you).

In practical terms, this means it's really hard to dig out of an early hole in a competitive bracket. Yes the later missions tends to be worth more points in general, but it's not like you should expect your bracket's leader to suddenly stop playing.

Ah, I see. But if I only do my first mission tomorrow morning, chances are the bracket won't be very competitive. The competitive people don't wait 7 hours to go in generally, I'm guessing.

The only sub I did twice was Russia and that because it was more than 24 hours. All the other subs I did only once and it was enough for top 5. I found this is enough even for my main; #1 for now with 70k followed by Spell #2 with 200 less. #10 has 10k less.

Because of the timing I'm not starting the subs until this evening - I could have played a few matches this morning, but it wouldn't have helped me that much in the main bracket, and would have made it much tougher to get a token in the subs.

I'm at about 64k points, so 70k and the Green Punisher is clearly a lock, but I'm getting concerned I won't be able to get the Red cover at 110k - it's the one I need most for him (he's 3/4/2 right now). Anything after that is gravy.

So far I received ~12k from the 2 daily subs every time I completed them for a total 48-49k. Russia was an exception that gave 20-21k so now I want 40k more for red Punisher. It should be doable since we will probably have 4 more daily sets of locations which means 48k if all continues as it has until now. You should be marginally above the goal if you get the same from each set of subs and play them all.

I think they planed it this way to give us Europeans a fair chance. They ended the first 4 1day subs at 8-10pm for us, then gave Russia with 1d 9h to sync with the end of the event and then 4 more 1day subs for the Americans. I think it was a decent try from their part to balance this worldwide. It is sad though that all, or at least the majority of the tournaments keep ending at 7am.

So bummed I fell asleep last night in the middle of a match, and woke up after the sub had ended. Dropped from 6th to somewhere top 50. Wish they would offer more chances at getting HP. I just had to drop maxed 1* IM so I could add a Punisher that I will never use after this next sub because I can only level him up to 18.

If they are it'll likely be too late for me to do anything with them. As the events finish at 5am UK time there is no way I'll be attempting the unlock missions as I'm not getting up that early to do it.

Hi, can someone tell me if the reset to the stacks is back at 8hr? Or is it now all at 12 hours? Can someone tell?

Previously it was at 8hr for all stacks to reset. Except the Single Submission russia, which was 12 hours.

Is it now back to 8hr refresh, or 12 hours?
