    I found out (not sure if true) that you cannot drop the missions below their "starting" point - ie the level you see them after you get to the mission selection screen for the first time... at least I wasn't able to... I can however drop them pretty quickly to former values if they tend to rise due to my wins

    I tried tanking in the 3-4th location set and it didn't work at all. After 10-15 loses (no retreats) their levels didn't drop at all. This time it worked. I played until my entire roster was down except the heroes I use and those who are required for matches. Since the size of my roster is 30, I think I did 7-8 matches. I did that 2-3 times and the levels dropped 30-40 levels, maybe a little more.

    I think it doesn't drop below a certain point since it may look at your roster too. My highest level characters are 85 OBW, 85 Ares, 80 Punisher and 70 Patch. After those 4 follow the 3 1* (Iron Man 35, MBW, MStorm). Something else that may play a role is previous completion attempts. In all subs I placed top 5, but as soon as I got there I stopped playing, so I never farmed a mission to 1 point. Usually, if I am in top 5, I ignore all missions which give 100-150 points or less. Also, in the previous subs (except Russia) I only did a single pass starting 4-6 hours before the end. In Russia I will do a second before I go to sleep. I finished the first with 16-17 hours to go, so it should be close to max.

    Not that I am complaining - the Moonstone/Rags/Juggs mission had a dramatic drop in my bracket. It started out close to 200, went over 200, dropped to 189 last night, and this morning dropped to around 150. My success with this missions is around 1/5 or 2/5 with boosts but this morning managed to complete it without cos somehow the AI chose to get purple for Moonstone instead of grabbing obvious reds for Rags and Juggs. Either the broken scaling took a pity on me or the devs did some changes to the AI. icon_e_smile.gif

    Are mission points going to reset again before this event ends or are we stuck with whats left more or less?

    Grumbles... i feel like the important "under the hood" game mechanics should be more explicitly represented in game. A re-population timer maybe a max point per node designation.

    I know that "delaying" playing is generally preferable because of rubberbanding, but how exactly does the stack timing work? I know it's probably been rehashed a million times but I'm not finding it in search.

    Let's assume a stack "regenerates" in 8 hours. Is it that if I play that node at 01:00, 2:35, 6:20, and 6:40; I will "gain" one stack back at each of 9:00, 10:35, 14:20, and 14:40?

    Doing 2 refreshes is definitely the way to go with these tournaments. I joined 27 hours before the end of the event (enough for 4 refreshes), and did 1 refresh 16 hours before the end and 1 refresh right before the end. I was rubberbanded to maximum point values at the beginning of each cycle, and ended up in 1st place of my subbracket. Doing more than 2 is probably a waste of time imo.

    That's been about my experience so far as well - about 2 refreshes per sub and sitting well in main and all subs thus far. Way more laid back, but still with tough matchups that force you to play carefully. And boosted Psylocke + Patch makes me happy.

    The way the points are setup is that there is almost always enough points to get back to first unless you're behind by a ridiciulous amount. That said, if you start off with a huge hole, it's not exactly easy to pass up the guy who is at #1, though with the structure of these tournament, you only have to pass up #5 for the best prizes.

    I've been working for the last number of hours (it's 12 PM EST here) and I only finished at 11:45. I managed to grind down a few 230 missions and jump from 100 in my sub to 8, but didn't finish the fight that would put me over to the 1-5 bracket in time icon_e_sad.gif

    Oh well. Back in first in my main bracket by 2000.

    Also didn't get a chance to grind some Fresh Cut so I think I finished out of the top 15. Was gonna sell the C Mag covers anyway. But wow, what bad luck and timing icon_e_sad.gif

    Was able to parts of a third? refresh in, so that allowed me to win my bracket (not that competitive).
    On my main leader board, I ended the last set of sub missions at around 13th place- competition was fierce. Now, I think since I was able to get a few missions in as a third reset I jumped up to 6th place at the end of this one.

    I saw you pop into the top ten in my bracket of Fresh Cut earlier today but you dropped back fairly quickly. I need the Mag covers so was glad to see you go, I got scared.

    Yeah I have a 5/3/5 C Mags and was pretty busy so I only played for a bit during dinner. Wouldn't have played at all but my PVE hadn't refreshed yet.

    I don't know how you do it. I ground down all the stacks in Russia each refresh, still only ended up in top 75 for my sub - completely annihilated in my main now, down from ~#60 to ~#120 in the space of about 36 hours. This event will be a complete whitewash for me - I probably would have been better served by entering on the last day.

    Do you get assigned to a bracket when you do the mission on the main screen to open the sub or when you do the first mission in the sub?
