Man to I want to a] see the story out (though I 'dare' predict the twist ahead for the great heroic Magneto) and b] keep positioned in case the ISO bar fills before I go to bed (in the UK sadly the new timing means I sleep through crucial 6 end hours) - but otherwise I cannot think of a single reason to trudge through this endless grind of super-levelled foes...
Health wise there's never been so many all tank-class foes in teams, and with the self destructors and Ares everywhere (6 green = death when over-levelled) just seeing the initial board it's obvious if there's hope or best to resign.
Of course there's still combatable to compare to Daken spitting out 200 damage of strike tiles every time green is matched, while the mutant minions lay green tiles that insta-kill if not matched...
I'm happy that I levelled the supremely-buffed 2* Storm and 2* Magneto tandem though (with Hood when not carrying dead-weight) so at least matches are crush-or-be-crushed, because if I was trying to play this with Spider-man I would be about ready to give up gaming.
Never ever ever EVER going to repeat the mistake of playing too much while scaling is in effect (that being more than once each mission plus 1-2 repeats of the highest scoring at the end), because whatever satisfaction there was in finishing higher in one bracket is nothing compared to the mind-blowing tedium the rest of the event becomes after.
Strictly casual!
N.B. Everyone's brackets are very even - mine is 89k top (certainly isn't me!), so within 1k of the totals being posted.0 -
Currently:
1st is at 91733
I'm in 7th at 70014 (doing each mission at least once, some of the higher point ones each reset in one of the subs)
10th at 686260 -
I have 7 CStorm covers in my rewards. Is she buffed enough that I should pull her our for this? Been leaning heavily on Psylocke/MagMN but some fights have still been rough.0

The general structure of these events is that a decent high level minor buffed character is always worth using over anyone except the obviously broken guys. But in this case you're comparing her to other buffed character, and that'd depend on your exact playstyle and team composition.0 -

Rajjeq wrote:Well, my 2 cover Psylocke is level 18, around 4.5k hitpoints and is hitting up to 54. Is CStorm anything like that powerwise?0

When looking at your roster you need to balance between the cheese and the raw firepower. Unless you got a level 141 Psylocke, nobody is going to fight those 230X3 DAs straight up and win. Their stats will simply overwhelm you in a fair fight.
A team that's pure power might be say Punisher/Captain America/Magneto (after factoring in boosts), but this team doesn't have any cheap tricks so even though the characters all have strong stats, it might not be enough. On the opposite end, a team that's all cheese might be Spiderman/Modern Storm/OBW. That team has all kinds of ways to get many, many turns, but it'd also take forever to wear down the 30K+ HP you're expected to face because this team lacks firepower.
Classic Storm is about average in both, but not enough to carry the team in either category as well. If you've been running Magneto MN/Psylocke, adding Storm is probably a good idea. Those two probably have enough raw firepower, but neither have any cheap tricks, so having Lightning Storm on your side should help.0 -
Something's wrong with this event's rewards. Shouldn't the lower rewards spawn over more ranks and the higher rewards spawn over less ranks? In the usual 3 day tournies, 10% of the first 50 get 3 covers(rank 1-5), 20% get 2 covers(rank 6-15) and 70% get 1 covers.
In this tourny however, 50 people get 2 covers and only 15 get one covers. How much sense does that make? Not much I say.0 -
All these 230 and lucky cascades that kill the entire team in 3 consecutive matches after using health packs. Jist ridiculous0

Looks like the marathon is wearing down the field - I doubt either challenge mission will get unlocked for these subs. Less grinding for me as a result, but a guaranteed 1K ISO always makes me much more enthusiastic about tackling a 3x230.0

My work schedule prevents me from doing more than a single clear, twice daily.
It looks like that pace alone will net top 20 in my main bracket.
Edit: no story this cycle0 -

Will you do another push before the end of the subevents ? Because Im waiting to do mine and want rubberbanding in full effect to leave that bitter 11th place way behind (Currently at 6th)0 -

Yeah, just starting now.0 -
I think in most of these the overall sub bracket leader probably never changes so they don't get as much rubberband effect as they expect. If there's a guy who's doing say all the stacks of the 3 biggest point mission, you'd have to come pretty close to doing all those missions as well even with the rubberbanding to overtake him, and I wouldn't be surprised if nobody is actually doing that (besides the sub bracket leader).0

I think my subs are starting to refresh. Might wait a bit then do them.0

Took another look after seeing that and you're probably right - Italy is at 133m out of 140m needed. There's a good chance!0
