Took another look after seeing that and you're probably right - Italy is at 133m out of 140m needed. There's a good chance!
Isn't Italy the easy sub? 500 ISO then... (I hope not, but who am I kidding). At least it looks like the mission will be unlocked by the top of the hour.
On the other hand, California only just passed 50%... Ouch.0 -

Yeah, first easy sub to be unlocked. Strange so many more points have been earned this time on it compared to previous rounds.
It's unlocked now & worth 1000 which is nice.0 -
Italy is open and 1000 ISO.
Easy DA fight - Moonstone/Daken/Yelena.0 -
Can't wait for this to end. So bored of epically long fights against 230 DAs with MN Magneto and Spidey. I have no idea how you'd beat them with anybody else, maybe if you were lucky with OBWs steal.0
-
Don't know whether to start doing some missions now or keep waiting to max rubberband out and prevent someone from rubberbanding me.0
-
Sorry if this has been answerer, but this is quite the long thread. How do the mechanics work for point values of the missions. Is it a combination of rubberbanding up to 10x based on how far you are below the leader, and each mission losing 20% from the max for each time you do it, resetting after 12 hours? Is that it or is there more I'm missing/incorrect about?0

It refreshes after 8 hours in the 24 hour subs.0

I've discovered Magneto NOW! and Storm Classic make a freakin awesome team if the board is there.
A few purples and you can drop 4 blues down, creating 5 combinations, or just a few fours, then stun the opponents with Storm's insanely good blue ability. 2000+ damage to *each character* and stuns the target for 3 turns. Very good to hold onto until you see the heavy hitter (juggernaut, Ares, maybe Ragnarok or even just a minion with a timer near 0).
Bringing OBW along helps gather purples if your Magneto isn't too high a level since she can possible espionage them away from the enemy, gathering them quicker, plus she can heal with the blues you make.
C.Storm seems to go really well with both Thor and Magneto NOW! it seems.0 -
When do people usually start their final pushes? 2 hours before? Hour before? I'm tired of waiting but don't want to lose my top spot. Maybe I'll push to first and then stop until someone passes me.0

The mission starts at 100% and declines by 20% each time you do it, so a 200 point based mission is worth 200 the first time, 160 the second time, and 120 the third time and so on. They reset in 8 or 12 hours depending on the exact bracket (pretty sure it's 8 hours this time around), but it's based on the last time you did it. For example if you did it once at 3pm, and then one more at 5pm, your mission will be at 60% value, and at 11pm it'd be back to 80% value, and at 1am it'd finally be back to 100% value.
However, all points are modified by the rubberband factor, which measures how far you are from the overall sub bracket leader. Generally, as you start doing missions, you'll be closer to the overall sub bracket leader. To illustrate, imagine you do a 200 point mission and you get the max 10X modifier, so you see 2000 points. You do the mission and now you're closer to the overall sub bracket (unless he somehow gained more than 2000 points in the time it took you to do the mission), so maybe the modifier drops to 5X. So your next mission you'll see 160*5 = 800 points.0 -

I start about an hour before, sometimes less - the first half on the easy sub and the second half on the hard sub. I really don't know what's optimal, though. If I'm feeling particularly restless, I'll do some of the really low point minion-only ones a bit earlier.0 -
Yuck, easy mode seems annoying to catch up on: going to have to grind 230s 5-6 times. The hard mode requires grinding 230s 3-4 times, which isn't as bad I suppose.0
-
Are people hanging on to the terminology of easy/hard sub from the previous event or am I missing something? My subs are more or less the same with levels/points and only differ in enemies, more closer to the longtime hunt subs.0
-
It gets more and more difficult each sub to motivate myself to grind from top 10 to top 5 for an extra Captain America0
-
I'm almost tempted to level my cap up because he's boosted so often and involved in so many PvE's and it's getting tedious grinding out missions which need Cap.
Only problem is that as soon as I do that he probably won't get buffed anymore...
That and I'd rather spend my ISO elsewhere0 -

Mistress of the elements to shake the board or gain those sweet desert tiles. Magnetized projectile for minor shakes when there are few enviromental or none. Lightning strike ... well, you know, AP. Everytime you see the pattern for a free critical or free 4- match, Magnetic field, shake otherwise. When you have enough purple, Translocate their faces to oblivion and yourself to victory
Its a bit tedious too, but with Retribution or the critical boost you can do it faster.0 -

Yeah, just calling it that sometimes from previous event, but partly because the "easy" sub starts with a level 30 entrance & first fight, then goes straight to 230 or whatever, but the hard has entrance & first fight as well as all the rest at 2300
