    Yeah. I don't need Mags covers and I hate grinding PVE these days so I only go for a couple passes so maybe I'll toss my hat in the ring. I haven't participated since the first Avengers Elite and that was before I got my 5th green Widow.

    After all the unshielding the last 3 days, it's unsettling for it to be this quiet down the stretch. I keep waiting for the zombie to jump out of the closet. The waiting is worse, lol.

    The one question is whether I wait to update before starting... Use some classic boosts to rush my way up. But no, I want to start this new patch.

    EDIT: Time to wait for it to download then I'll do a bit of PVE and join this elite.

    I'm pretty resigned to 4th place... *sigh* I regret the wasted time this weekend more than the 3000 HP I spent. I'm sure I'll be up and playing again tomorrow, but it will be pretty demoralizing.

    One problem with the current implementation of skip tax (prevalent because I'm trying to run up the ladder) - if you don't travel around the nodes to play in multiple environments, skip tax will kick in due to the drop in point value.

    If I play 4 fights in the jungle, my other two nodes will be worth like 10-12 points. I either play a **** match designed to get a juicy retaliation out of me, or I pay to skip it. Not too awful because you can play a match and reset the tax, but still.

    What we are seeing here is exactly why that the shielded players need to still be in the attackable pool. icon_e_sad.gif
    In fact if I recall isnt this kind of situation the reason they said they made shielded players hidden in the first place?

    I don't know if attacking shielded players is the answer, but I kind of think this makes the 6 day Elite Tourney experiment a bit of a failure.

    Then again, this might be somewhat of an anomaly...if 5 players were up there instead of 4, then this would be completely different. Really, the only two scenarios that would result in this boring of a finish is either exactly 3 players or exactly 4 players pulling away. Any more or fewer players would make a huge difference.

    Well that was a huge grind. Pushed my way up to 110. Came out down like 82 points trying to break into top 100. Top 200 will be good enough for 375 total hp and 3 hours of grinding.

    Yeah, I'm not wasting another 75 HP for 4 minutes of shield. If someone wants to hit me for... 1000 points, then I'll drop one place. For the same reward.

    Yeah same for me. I got up to about 130 and then the pit pulled me down. Was seeing nothing over 20 points by the time I crossed the 800 point threshold. Annoying that my MMR is so bad I can only see the same 4-5 teams. I don't get variation, likely because most of my MMR pool was shielded.

    Anyway, top 200 will be okay. I spent 300 to enter and zero on shields, so if I finish top 200, I net 2000 ISO, -200 HP, +375 ISO from the heroic tokens.

    Now I guess I'll PVE and some Psylocke tourney. I have her at 60 and might pump some more ISO into her since she's actually a fun character. She's a female Punisher.

    I seen/skipped u a couple times. I know I hit bugpop or someone a few times big cuz they were all that was 20+. Skip bonus/tax makes things interesting.

    I thought I could break the top 30 at the last 4 minutes and ended up just dragging someone down that unshielded around the same time.
    Is it karma that I got hit for more than what I gained by someone else?

    Well, that was anti-climatic, but I'll take it!

    6 days is just too long. Too many opportunities for separation from the pack, too much required HP spend to prevent being on the wrong end of that separation. I enjoyed the scrapping and chatting with the field at the end of Avenger's Elite way more.

    Looking forward to focusing on the Psylocke tourney and Brotherhood PvE.

    Yeah I saw all the hits but I was shielded at the time so it was all good.
    I got hit when I broke the top 30 for a brief 10 seconds and ended up staying in the top 100. I felt gambling for the extra 5k Iso would've been worth the quick shields.
