Is the rubber banding based off the main bracket or isolated to sub brackets?
I thought it was just sub brackets, but I'm starting to get the impression it scales off the main bracket.

Something changed with the rubber banding I just did the 230 Hard Simulation 4 230 BagWoman/Punisher/Don and I just got 2164 which is over 2000 which was the maximum I was getting at the start of the event. On a side note downing it with 85 OBW/ 2 blue lvl 35 spiderman and lvl 60ish IM40 really safe with a good starting board but 20 minutes for one mission OUCH!

If you litter the board with protect tiles and Bag Lady's left standing and invisible, you can drudge through quite a long stalemate on that before being able to get rid of her invisibility tile if it's hard to reach. As long as you bring AoE or targeted tile destruction that shouldn't be able to happen, though.

Also, bug: if you kill someone who has a locked countdown with a match that unlocks it, the countdown doesn't revert to a basic. Is this known?

Come on, I restarted already, anyone seeing this too?

edit: all up again, but this is the second time I encounter this glitch.

I've gotten it before; back entirely out of the app and reload and it should fix it.
  • I think i'm going to give up. There is no worth to put the effort to beat lvl 230 Hood/Doom/Loki with heroes i have. It is all so much luck based. Scalling past level 170 is so crazy... icon_e_sad.gif

They should be based on sub bracket only, but it's based on the overall sub bracket leader, not just your sub bracket.

    Alright. Thanks.

Yes its the one after those 3. I am trying to minimize the number of missions I am doing by going for the big point total. Hoping this will keep the lvl of the missions down, no idea if its working or not!

Happens to me a lot also. Just One reload normally works but yesterday it needed two.
  • having so much fun on this event.
Patches + C. Storm and now Mags.
C Storms aoe is already awesome with stun included but toss a berserker first from mr patch and its plain silly. Throw around a Mags purple power and spam red for the finishing touches.

Matches are going really well with this combo.
When I can't use Patches I throw in Hood, IM40 or BWGS. Spidey if I really need to but I'm trying not to use him.

Anyone beat the aries bagman and captain america?? What was your strategy to win??
Level 102 GSBW, level 92 Hulk, and level 62 boosted IM40.

I knew it was all going pear-shaped when Bag Man altered the timers on only two of IM40's three recharge tiles.

Yeah, that's right… Bag Man kicked my butt.

I then swapped SBW for a level 49 boosted Magneto, and also got a better initial board.

note: It may have been a coincidence, but levels were lower on my return engagement.

I've noticed the levels update to higher ones with each refresh of points. So i dont think it depends on what you do.
  • For most of these battles I find that if you have 3 high level boosted character you can often just fight them straight up. I was doing the Wolverine battle with Magneto/Moonstone/Spiderman and I noticed Wolverine died before I even need to stun, and I didn't even get any Magnetic Translocation or Magnetic Field combos in yet. Sometimes having 6000 HP and match 3s doing 250 damage trumps everything else. It's good to have a specialist like Spiderman or Patch around, but don't underestimate the raw power of 3 guys with 6000+ HP to simply beat down the other team straight up. I think I did the Bagman battle with Magneto/Moonstone/Patch and was more or less a straight up beatdown too.

Was your Moonstone level 80? Mine is currently 34 and I'm deciding if I want to pump some iso into her to make her usable for this event. Also considering leveling up Daken from 45 to 69 for this tournament and the villain one.
  • I don't particularly care for the ramp up either, especially since it seems almost entirely based on what others do, not what you yourself are doing. If they did it such that the enemies on normal mode level up say 10 levels and 20 levels for hard mode when you win, that would seem more realistic and doable. This assumes you aren't getting flooded with 20iso gag prizes too though.

My Moonstone is maxed. They're really trying to get you to used the boosted and neglected character. I've found that this tournament seems to favor using 2 boosted character + 1 specialist (Spiderman, Patch, whatever) in most fights. The boosted character's raw stats often trumps everything else.

Moonstone's been solid for most of this. I've been using her (~70 and counting) roughly where I'd usually put buffed Cap in for PvE. She's tanky, does respectable damage, can deal with special tiles under the right circumstances and is hilarious if you manage to steal the right overpowered countdown. She'd also be a reasonable choice or sub for the villain tournament, if you care, but dominant teams there I'd expect mostly to be high level Speed Evil characters and maybe Ares. I'm sure Daken would also be great in the simulator, but mine's level 6, albeit fully covered, and even the ISO torrent from the event probably isn't enough to help much in time, so I've tended to use Patch where I'd like him.

Daken. Always use Daken. OBW plus Daken can lead to 1000 damage attacks.

Daken/Mags (high blue)/Spidey(high blue) is pretty good vs the 230s. Fill the board up with strike tiles and you get so much added value from Mag's red and blue. Spidey is there for end-game insurance, and a green character can be subbed in to exploit all the green you're getting from strike tiles.
