Was loving the $hit out of this but then the hard enemies just scaled out of control.
So close, devs. So close!0 -

Because I tried tackling the X-force Wolverine posse in the hard mode and they were 185, I think. There abouts. Lost, naturally, so I took a break, killed some of the mooks in the secondary path, went back...and now they're 230.
So I did the old trick or using up all of my guys, going in, retreating over and over thinking that would bring the levels down. Sacrifised 27 of my 30 guys and they were still at 230. So...if they can only go up and not down, I'll very quickly have no chance in this event.
230? Strange, my X-force wolvie mission is 161 right now.0 -
I'm looking at a 204 Daken, X-Force, and Fat guy. I think they were in the 150's when I beat them, and they were at 185 for a moment.0

Having done nothing but cleared the 5k ISO mission on normal mode, then cleared to it in Spider-Man mode, the enemies are at level 210. My highest characters are 110 Patch (can't use), 85 Wolverine (can't use), 85 OBW, 77 Ares, 53 Thor and then a bunch of unleveled characters or 1* from my prologue days.0

The thing about this game more than any other I have played seems to be its not about how much you play, grind, or how much you spend, its is when you play. If I would have started this PvE event at work I would be at the top of my bracket banked another 15k ISO easily, not that it is feasible to do such things at work, took forever to do the main bracket x4-5 whatever it was when I got home.
If you join most events right as they start you are basically shooting yourself in the foot, except in this case. I guess rubberbanding is supposed to "fix" this but not in reality. If anything the level scaling should only effect how well you are doing in your own main bracket, and as you fall lower the levels should get easier to allow you to at least get some rewards.
Feels like we are still beta testing.0 -
Enjoying this event so far. Let's hope the enemy scaling doesn't carry over to subsequent rounds. That'll just ruin everything.0

Also, does this level scaling persist across different subevents?
Persisting across subevents - yes.
Scaling missions individually doesn't do enough to satisfy the design goals of this feature: making our events maximally interesting for the widest possible subset of players and reducing grind. We couldn't do rewards like the 5000 Iso-8 challenge mission reward in this event in a system like that. It would either be too trivial for top-end players to get or they would be the only people that had any hope of getting it.
It seems that's here to stay.0 -

are you referring to normal or hard mode simulator?0 -
So, I kinda hate myself for considering this, but despite 66 days of playing, I don't have a Loki and I'd really like to get in on the exclusive fights. I haven't spent money on much except roster space and boosting OBW's heal to 5 to play without stopping, but I'm starting to consider it for the Highly Trained x10 Pack.
But if I do so, am I just going to get one or two Loki and then only copies of the other boosted heroes? I already have a nearly-full M.Storm, Moonstone, Daken, and Cap, and I don't want to spend $20 on HP if I only stand to gain one Loki and a lot of dupe covers. If there's a chance of getting other 2*s or some 3*s (besides IM40 and Rags), then I'll still consider it. So is it just a 7 character draw, or would I have a chance at more diversity?0 -

If you get the 10 pack you get 1 Loki, then the rest are up to RNG.
From experience, you'll maybe get 1-2 other 3* pulls, the rest will likely be 2* pulls. If you're maxed out for covers on the 2* heroes that are included, I would suggest holding off.
For me, If I could use at least 50% of the possible covers that could come from a token, then I'll consider spending some HP on it. If not, I'll pass it over and it becomes an exercise in patience. I've said a number of times to a number of people: MPQ is a marathon, not a sprint.0 -
How are you guys liking the event? I hit this one from the get go. Hopefully it pays off. Just hope I don't get hit with the230 lvl fights like some others have commented on.0

That may be a bad idea.
There seem to be around 10,000 points in a clear of both subs, depending on your rubberbanding. Bearing in mind that rubberbanding is maxed out at 7,000 points, if you wait for 3 clears you may be 30,000 points behind. A clear at full rubberbanding will probably land you in the 15-20,000 point range. Which leaves you 20k short of the leader.
In this one if you fall too far behind you may be roadkill.0 -

You could go with the Diabolical 5 pack.
One of each 3* villain, I think.0 -

True, though that's 5000 HP for x5 versus 3800 HP for x10. If the drop rates on the Highly Trained tokens are as increased as some people have indicated, then I might still be better going the cheaper route. But since all I've gotten from my progression tokens was a red Moonstone and a blue Storm, I don't know if that's true or if other people were just lucky.
Haven't heard anyone raving about their token pulls for several pages now, though. Maybe it was just a fluke? Mainly I just care whether or not the tokens will pull characters other than the boosted heroes.0 -
ROFL....
I can see 200+ mobs in Hard Mode, and now the 5k fight on Normal Mode is up to the 90s.
The lowest fight in Hard Mode is in the triple digits now (outside of the Loki required ones)....
Yup... there will be 230s all around before 24 hours even have elapsed in Hard Mode. Normal mode wont be far behind, unless there actually is level ceilings on the missions in that sub.0 -
I can beat Xforce, Daken, and Maggia in hard mode with no problems but when i fight C-Mag, Hood, and Doom in hard mode i cant win. It's like once my stun is over on mags or doom i get spammed by their powers, hood gives me no problems but they do. Im using maxed c-storm , maxed obw, and level 80 moonstone.I need help? :c0

I sincerely doubt that the drop rates on the Highly Trained tokens are anything out of the ordinary. Heroic-type tokens are always about 80% 2*, 18% 3* and 2% 4* or something like that, no matter what name is on the door. The characters who appear might be limited, but the percentage that is 2* and the percentage which is 3* doesn't change.
There's always going to be people reporting amazing drop luck and people reporting awful drop luck.0 -
Not sure why everyone's talking about the Daken/X Wolv mission; I just got destroyed three times in a row by the Mags/Doom/Hood mission, and they're only at lvl 115! Not really sure how you can handle Dormammu's Aid, Summon Demons, and OHKO Magnetic Translocation (or any of Mags' powers for that matter) without stunlocking...0

I got Daken.
Was really hoping for Loki since he's required and I wanted to try him out with Patch.
If they ever did a significant sale on the Diabolical pack, I'd definitely pick it up but I can't justify ~$37 on it.0
