I'm at work, so I've only managed to squeak in three fights so far, but if what I'm hearing here is correct, I can't help but suspect there is an ulterior motive at work here.
Showcasing new and exciting match-ups? Granting enough ISO to effectively level your characters? Possibly increasing the 3* draw rate from event tokens?
Could this be an attempt to shake up player-based teams as well? How many of us are going to leave the event with some new combinations to play around with and the ISO/Covers to put them to work? If this is, indeed, their sinister motivation for creating an event that everyone seems to love, then...good work! Excellent end goal and excellent method. I look forward to seeing many more like this!0 -
I think one of the nice things is it is non storyline PvE. Which allows the freedom to have a team like wolverine/Daken or invisible lady/mook/mook0

Assuming the round numbers a lot of these seem to be settling at are the ceilings, I think they might've finally got this scaling nonsense working. That is correct.
4 Rounds, at 2.5 days per Round - 10 days total for the event.
Assumed 12 hour recycle on points, as each Round is 60 hours in length.0 -

Yeah. This event gives the appearance of a Scrooge McDuck money bin full of ISO for us to go swimming in, but the reality is that a lot of that ISO comes from the first time completion bonus.
The good news is there should be 3 more subs still to come. Just got to remember it's feast and famine: 1 day to gorge on ISO, 2 days to grind on missions for points.0 -

I don't see much else working for that one, certainly not by 200. Stun-lock, duh, it works for everything, which'll be nice for the people who don't have it and are now getting the difficulty auto-tuned around it. I have him at 45 and I'm getting 2 46 damage strike tiles per green, which is pretty good when the main strategy is to spidey stun lock them down. I'm guessing max level the strike tiles would be 50-60ish, which might be worth the 10k iso...
It's 59. Max HP is 4520, which puts his regen at +226.0 -

I've gotten like 4 purples from standard tokens. Pretty ssure he's the most common villain in them.

Cleared all missions in both standard and hard mode and ranked No.1 in all events.0

So 9 missions with 100+100+250+500 = 8550 iso + 5000 iso from that one mission = 13k iso per simulator room. Not too shabby: I think I'm going to use the iso as carrots to farm clears of the missions. It seems like you only need to clear the hard room in order to stay competitive in the main bracket due to rubber banding, which is interesting. This event probably is going to be more about being the least lazy, since people do not want to clear 50 missions per refresh cycle.0

Good god... just beat the hardmode Daken at 158 using loki, modern storm and OBW... At THREE different points my loki was down under 100 hp before he was able to convert thug tiles to protect tiles. Closes match I've ever had.. gonna go lay down now -_-0

Hmm first by a long shot in easy mode. Heroic on the other hand have not started and the first fight over doubled to 100 now... probably cant do very many missions at all now.
Not a fan of this global leveling. I do not see why they cant do leveling based on how many times you play a node and reset it on each sub, it can't be unreasonable... Wanted to try a lightning round, so since I left the Heroic until last my main bracket is pretty much forfeit.0 -
Ended the Doom match with 2 dead and my punisher with 7hp. New found respect for that guy, almost got me twice with his stupid demons, don't wanna give him the spidey treatment but he's earned it!0

Persisting across subevents - yes.
Scaling missions individually doesn't do enough to satisfy the design goals of this feature: making our events maximally interesting for the widest possible subset of players and reducing grind. We couldn't do rewards like the 5000 Iso-8 challenge mission reward in this event in a system like that. It would either be too trivial for top-end players to get or they would be the only people that had any hope of getting it.
It appears that Demiurge does not want to do static scaling because of grind.0 -
Has it been confirmed how the enemy level rubber banding thing works?
Because I tried tackling the X-force Wolverine posse in the hard mode and they were 185, I think. There abouts. Lost, naturally, so I took a break, killed some of the mooks in the secondary path, went back...and now they're 230.
So I did the old trick or using up all of my guys, going in, retreating over and over thinking that would bring the levels down. Sacrifised 27 of my 30 guys and they were still at 230. So...if they can only go up and not down, I'll very quickly have no chance in this event.0 -
Well it seems we are at a crossroads then. They want to reward high level players by making the matches incredibly difficult too fast. MMR and rubber banding favor the newest players with easy matches and coasting uncontested to the finish line. So everyone in the middle is?
You know I would just be happy if they funbalanced Spidey already. Mine is level 15 3/2/2 whatever but I refuse to spend 1 iota of iso on him until they change him. Then they can alter high level PvE and maybe not face 100+ Spideys every PvP match.
Upside, got my 1/5/3 Hood from 72 to 87 today, happy about that. Too bad hes capped at 92.0 -
