After what felt like 20+ attempts I did it with my Lvl 131 1/3/2 Elektra. I boosted purple and black damage and also b/g AP.

It was an absolute nightmare. I got Antman Blue for my troubles to make him 2/3/4.

Elektra, decent one on one, was pumped to get started, but looked at my Electra 1/0/0. My steam has the stronger version, but am off on vacation.

I couldn't get black to save my life the first two tries. Rim shot.

Wiped twice, AP boosted the third time when I had a good board and didn't end up needing it.

This was a little easier than I expected, thanks to some lucky cascades.
My Elektra is 2/3/5 but was only level 100 on my first attempt. I pumped some ISO up to lv 130 and grabbed a win for another 1000 ISO token.

I think that's the last of my decently covered + levelled 4*'s for now, so I'll probably be on struggle street for the next few weeks/months.

I beat Blade on the second try. 3/1/2 lvl 131 Elektra. Boosted damage and crit to max, stockpiled blue/purple. Some luck second try helped.

Got X-Force Wolverine Yellow cover (5th one), no complaints.

5/2/2 lv 170 Elektra, did it on my first go =)

I ended up with a nice run of black and I got enough purple just as the reds started appearing. So once I turned his strike tiles around and laid the black down his health started dropping. Got a yellow Thing for my trouble.
  • So, in probably the luckiest 4* DDQ ever, I completely by accident took down Blade with my 4/2/3 level 95 Elektra on my first try with boosts.

I'd intended to level her into the 150's at least, but I had to step away from the game for a while, and when I came back, I went ahead and added my boosts (2 red/yellow ap, 2 all color ap, 80% all match damage) and started the fight. I immediately realized what I'd done after I pressed the button.

My initial reaction was, "Ah! I wasted all those boosts!" But I decided to puzzle it out for fun, and see how far I could get. I had a decent starting board and was able to get off a Ballet of Death Trap pretty early. I also stole some of Blade's strike tiles and matched any others rather quickly. Her Shadow Step saved me more than once, and I averaged about 3 Ballet of Deaths on the Board at once toward the end.

An attack and match from Blade left me at 98 Health, but luckily my next match/Ballet of Death took him down.

My legendary token netted me a blue Reed. Not exactly what I wanted (it brought him up to 3/0/1), but I'm not complaining! I saved a bunch of ISO I would have spent leveling her, at any rate!

I beat him on my 3rd attempt with my 2/2/2 Elektra, but I was VERY lucky. I boosted all color damage, b/g damage, and b/p damage. Denied purple and black. I stole a few of his strike tiles, but the luckiest part was that my Ballet of Death trap was never overwritten. It was literally the last red tile on the board without a Blade strike in it, so yeah that was all luck and very little skill.

Got a 4hor red out of it (which I needed).

I did it on my third (i think?) attempt with 2/3/0 Elektra, max level 127. I used boosts and denied red and purple. I used Elektra's black to avoid Blade's black and his team-up. He didn't get any attack tiles down.

3/2/1 level 131. No boosts on like 15th try.
  • It was way easier than I thought it would be. A well timed black and early red chewed his hp, and stealing one of his strikes early helped out damage on matches too. Took me like 4 tries with a 233 lv147 elektra.

feel like a rockstar did it with a 1/1/2 used 5x match damage boosters, 5x crit damage, and green black ap boost. Third try

Got a lucky 7 black crit tile early stole one strike.png from him and then got 2 red off that lasted the entire round. Denied him purple. He did his purple on the last turn (thankfully right after i dropped a shadow step) last turn was me with 664 hp and blade with 71. BOOM

got a redflag.pngicon_deadpool.png for my troubles

    Attention all reds;

Remember awhile ago when we had a contest for a free cover? Here is a great opportunity. Since we have the preview of who will be the next essential for 4* ddq from the "off" vault (which is appreciated) why not make it into a weekly contest. The first 3 or 5 players to correctly guess the opponent gets their choice of iso, HP, or 1 cover (5*'s excluded of course). Who thinks this would be a good idea?

Also wanted to comment on today's fight, wiped him up first try with lvl 140 531 build rainbow ap boost, b/p ap boost, b/p DMG boost. Let him get a few strike tiles out, double crossed, fired red, followed BT black and it was game over....not to say it was not close but I think I had like 1500 health left

I think a better idea would be to award a prize for the person who conquers the node with the least covered and least levelled character, thereby giving undercovered people something to really make them play this node more icon_e_smile.gif

I thought that I have no chance with my 3/3/0 Elektra with no red covers, but it was not so hard.
I beat Blade with 3rd try using +2purple/+2black/+2all boosts.

Wiped about 6 times when I first tried it with my 1/3/3 level 152. When I got home from work last nigh, I was able to beat it in my beat it right away using strategies talked about in this thread (so yay forums).

Got a icon_antman.pngblueflag.png . while not great, it is nice timing with his challenge up next (got a 2/2/2 for him now).

my 2/2/3 level 145 Elektra did ok. took 6-8 tries, but finally was able to time the purple/red/black right. I think 6-8 covers in the right abilities and mid 100s level is about right for getting there. Elektra's covers I think needed to be spread over the abilities while someone like xforce just needs black. looking forward to antman. mine is 2/2/4 and will be 145 by his day.

I ended up trying 15 times with my level 111 1/2/2 and almost got it on the 14th but didn't have any boosts which would have made the difference because he was under 1K when I died from match damage.

I guess these horrible fights give me a reason to get excited about getting boosts from matches. icon_rolleyes.gif

MY 125 5/0/4 got her clock cleaned regularly. Mostly by the board shafting me. Like having 5 black trap tiles out so Blade gets a cascade that wipes out the blacks before he uses black and purple powers on me.

The iPad came so close to being thrown.
