    Well, I've always tried to be as courteous as I can be. When I was newer to PvP, I probably hit people mid-hops since I didn't understand shield hopping. I try to give a few minutes after lining up a new match before defeating it now. And if I can see the target in my bracket, I'll ensure they're shielded.

    I've gotten to 1000 with no outside assistance for the past 11 events straight. With all this talk of Line chat, I will try it to see if it increases my enjoyment of the game. I'm hopeful it will make reaching 1000 less stressful and time consuming. Trying to reach 1300 for Hulkbuster blueflag.png in Fatal Attraction is tempting, but I still have a 3 star.png roster without any max boosted characters this week. I'm dumping Iso-8 into Cyclops though.

    I'm a complete noob to Line, but feel free to send me a message at "meekersX". Invite me to whatever chats you think I should be in too. I'll see if I can figure out how to send a message to GothicKratos in the meantime.

    I'm in the same boat. I don't need to join a chat to meet my goals but I'm really curious if this new approach makes the game more fun. It really is two completely different philosophies. At the end of the day, everyone's entitled to pursue their own path, but they also have to own the consequences of their decisions.

    With out saying that one philosophy is better than the other, I'm curious to see if both types of players can co exist in the game. While I would never want this to devolve into a political discussion, I find many parallels in our political discourse. Both sides have valid points, and ultimately everyone's ability to progress depends on how much accommodation can occur between divergent points of view.

    When I was just wrapping up my hardcore play (a few months ago), someone in my alliance suggested Line. I passed on it, because I thought it was one more app to cram on my phone, and I was feeling the burnout (still am). I knew about the board by luck, and I didn't know about this secondary chat world I could have neen a part of.

    So, the only thing I feel worth contributing from my vantage point is: Non-battlechat guys who are hitting high-value folks in their slice/shard/bracket probably are not doing it personally, are not going to "learn their lesson" by alliance retaliation, and are just going to hate the game.

    I really like reading that there's a fun familiarity that goes on in chat and a bit of "traffic cop" coordination to let folks get the 10K and 13K covers. If I were going to grind hard again, I'd get on Line and enjoy my MPQ gaming time more.

    But since I didn't know how it all worked, if I crossed the wrong dude, I'd just quit the game in a Hate Parade. That team dynamic does protect the collective good, but if folks don't know, they don't know.

    I just don't think most people dl the game with the goal of spoiling everyone's Black Panther Party, and that's the assumption I've seen a few times about "snipers."

    Well, thanx to all of you. I must admit, of any of the posts I've started, I never expected this one to be so robust. But I'll be damned if y'all didn't just deliver in spades!

    And to finally get a good explanation of how LINE is used to coordinate attacks and shielding, well then yeah. Let's all thank Honu for instigating world peace!
