Is the Vault Working for You? Vault Efficiency

  • This vault has been working more in my favor than the old system. I have gotten more imcoin.png than I did in the old system. While, it would benefit me to get the 3 star.png covers I am good with getting the imcoin.png and buying the covers.
  • Has anyone tried a double tap on the vault? Meaning once you tap it and the immediately tap it again on the same icon, do you get that item or is the whole three icon countdown to what you get just for show?

I've definitely just hammered on the tapping before the vault even starts showing the roulette and I've done it once it started the roulette.

The icon that shows "at the time" you double tap isn't the item that you get. In fact, other people have demonstrated that even though the prizes run through the rotation in order, once you click the order is thrown out and you might get a prize that you had just passed in the rotation or you might get a prize that shouldn't come up for another 50 items.

As such, I no longer even wait for the vault to start its operations and I'm glad I can bypass the whole thing.

Not sure about the roulette wheel. Looked like I was getting HP today and then it stopped on the next one Ares. Bit of a tease.

Dont't know about odds, I think I have gotten one gold cover from Tacos in the last few weeks. But I got a 1000 hp reward from Independence Vault by counting the visible symbols and hitting the button at x-3 after checking once or twice that the tokens appear at the same order. Has anyone else tried this or done similar thing with tacos? I might have to chance back to a slower phone, because those symbols are too dang quick... icon_e_wink.gif
  • I had a very, very sad moment today with my Vault. I must say, my token luck is kind of bad. Previously, from a 5-day DDQ I normally received only 1 3*. With the new Vault system it's mostly the same with the exception that sometimes I get extra unlucky and don't get anything worthy at all. Anyway.

Today was the day I pulled my gold cover from the Vault! And it was... Ragnarok. I had a SINGLE random Rags cover in my vault, I kind of hate that hero and I don't have any roster space for him anyway. And of all the three stars... I got him... icon_cry.gif

I've collected 8 2* characters this round of Taco Vault... but it may just be my luck in general... opened 3 Enemy of the State tokens and received 3 more 2*'s... ugh. I'd love to see gold... even if it's one I already have.
  • Pulled my second Gold today from a Taco in (how many months has DDQ been running?) a while.

Funny thing is, instead of getting excited, at this point I literally icon_rolleyes.gif and shut the game down until tomorrow's DDQ. After getting relatively useless 2*s (250ISO is worth something, but not much) for months upon months, it honestly doesn't matter much any more.

Ran through all stored tokens and as mentioned earlier had bought some 10 packs.. 68/300 and still nothing from the front page.. that'll learn me.

health packs sorta rock during things like EoTS though

I did the same thing, but found that it doesn't work on the Taco Vault. I went through several cycles counting and it still gave me something not in the rotation. I have done pretty good this week with a newer system, but tomorrow will be the last day of testing. 4 days with good prizes may be just incredible luck.

If anyone was wondering here is my list of prizes for the last 4 days:
    Scarlet Witch purpleflag.png (needed)
    Vision yellowflag.png (needed)
Classic Mags yellowflag.png (didn't need but it's gold)
    250 HP icon_e_smile.gif
    1500 ISO icon_neutral.gif
3 x 5 Health Packs (great for EoTS grinds)

This is why I hoard tacos with the 2 piles being 14+18. If the luck (or lack of it icon_e_biggrin.gif ) I had in the previous taco store is an indication, even if I use 50 tokens, I know I'll get 2* and ISO. I decided to play the long game instead of being frustrated every day with the bad drops because the risk is just too high if you only use a handful of tokens. I estimate it will take me until Christmas icon_cry.gif before I use any, if I am still around. Another positive that comes from hoarding is that when you finally use the tokens, after all those months of patience, you will probably want more the new heroes we will have by then. Imagine the satisfaction you'll get from winning 5 covers of a relatively new hero instead of hunting for the 1 elusive cover that is included in the store only once.
BTW, I bet, before the piles of tokens get too big, we will have one the notorious "glitches" we see in the game now and then that will reset the piles.

Edit: I just noticed this is my 1000th post. How time flies. And my rep is the same as my highest level character (222XF).

I haven't really been worrying about hoarding or efficiency, though I have been (when I have the presence of mind to do so on the first day of a vault) cycling to try to get one that's more favorable. I've also been part of the "just hammer the button until a cover pops up" crew. Today I pulled 2* Mags and XF yellowflag.png , so the vault is doing alright by me so far icon_e_smile.gif
  • Question: Has someone confirmed that hoarding vault tokens more than the 5 days works the way it should, without prize replacement? Because unlike the regular vault, the post-event vault doesn't have the "x/300 collected" line at the top. Makes me worry that hoarded tokens just give a 1/300 shot each time without any improvement in odds.
Please ease my mind if you can, thanks.

70/300 opened in my current vault now, and still nothing from the first page.. hoarding increases odds by exactly 0 (same with token packs).

But at least you're making progress through the vault so you're not getting the same rewards. Eventually the odds have to increase. But does the post-event vault work the same way, is my question.

From what i have read, opening stored/off week taco tokens is not a good idea, each pull is a new vault, starts from scratch each time.

Don't know about this taco vault. All it seems to do for me is provide me a record of my dismal draw rate and then look were back to the other vault again for a new 300 and another record of dashed hopes.

Now the independence vault that really worked for me. Best run of loot since I started playing.

    1/50 works alot better than 1/300 + 1/300

That was my understanding as well. Correct me if this is wrong: If it is a "sweet" week, you can open stockpiled sweet tacos, and they'll count toward that current vault. If you open a savory token in a sweet week, each individual draw is made from a 100% new vault.
  • Oh, so you just need to save them longer for the correct type to come back up! That makes a lot of sense, thanks for clarifying.
