Got 1st with 800 points in my bracket. My Spider-Man is now complete @ 3/5/5, it's a shame I wont dump ISO on him untill fun-balance . It has been great week so far finish Mag, Doom, Loki & Spider-Man covers, next is GSBW, only need one more green cover.

Leapfrogging, basically, you use the Shielded players as a springboard.

The shielded players lose NO POINTS, and anyone who attacks them gain points. So if many people attack shielded players, they will all gain lots of points, eventually higher than the original shielded, meaning they used those players as a springboard. And then they in turn can shield and be spring boards too.

As for what is wrong? Tell that to the devs.

sorry if thats me you are referring too. If it is, the simple answer is I only have 8 guys to choose from over and over again and we are all actively playing at the same time since they block shielded people so even with mad skipping, I may get a new name after a dozen skips but its usually someone 200 pts lower so I try to spread t he love to the group I am stuck with. I pretty much joined this afternoon and used it more to grind for iso since its an endless cycle of win 40 lose 50 under their current setup.

o you here... haha sorry about that... i just fight any1 retaliate back to me.. but finally i manage secure top 5 regardlesss all the retaliation from multiple ppl...
when i using the combo spidey/thor/patch every1 stop attacking me retaliate me already... still your magneto Purple damn freaking pain... 2k damage from just shifting the entire board ==!!!! i think i know what to get for my roaster next

I got first in my bracket, but only got the IW cover. No Spiderman covers, which I kind of was counting on to help with the Oscorp Heroic missions... Sent in an email as per the Bugs & Suggestions sticky, but was wondering if anyone else had the same issue.

EDIT: 9 hours later, still no Spiderman Covers.

Lol, thanks. I'm assuming you are Apocalypse Now? I was aiming for yellow IW cover. Saw you in my bracket and attack to try to leapfrog to 1st place, once you shielded up I stop pushing.

My IW is at 3/1/1, so I didn't need that yellow cover. Aiming to have 3/5/5.

I needed a second spiderman, so I was aiming for 2-5.

you were definately supposed to get IW and 3 spideys for 1st. I did for placing 1st in mine, they all came in 1 batch not delayed though...

At least got into top 15, which was my aim since I already have 3 yellow spidey covers, didn't have a blue and only one purple.
So at least he's at 3/1/2 now

Damn, I really wanted a blue spidey cover. Got all the way up to 8th, and then I got bombed in the last 30 minutes. Some dude called Peacemaker, especially, nailed me four times.
Oh well. I needed a purple cover anyway, and it's something to dry my tears with.

Well, i want to tell you how this tourney went for me. The ending time was 6 am in the morning for me, so i planned to use an 8 hour shield at 10 pm.
Grinded 608 points, the timer was 8 hours and 12 minutes left. Decided to wait 12 more minutes, so i can shield exactly 8 hours, and not be unshielded in the last 12 minutes.

In those 12 minutes i got attacked by a guy 5 times, and other 3 attacks from guys at 200+ points. It was really weird, this guy attacking me was at 800 points and used a classic magneto and a grey suit widow (both really high levels). From 600 i dropped to 479. I was out of healthpacks, and i worried i will get even more attacks (i would have to wait for 3 healthpacks), so i shielded at 479.

I think it was really strange that a guy could attack me so many times in a such a short time. He had the team to kill mine really fast, but how could he find me so fast? I think i did a mistake, because each time he showed up as a retaliation(red nod) i pressed skip since i knew i couldnt beat his team.

Luckly for me, this was enough for a top 15 finisher it seems. My spiderman is 1/3/1 now

You can no longer attack shielded players as they are not presented in normal matchmaking. Only as retal or if you cached them earlier.

Shield-frogging is the obvious tech used on top: you're shielded, collect 3 juicy opponents, fight those 1-5 battles in shortest time and reshield before you are discovered by others or the retals hit. The number of matches you can play safely varies, may be just 1, maybe 3.

Due to that schema the climbers and jumpers are best targets, you can't realisticly survive in the top range (guess was little over 500 in Best tournament, you can collect 150-200 pts worth of attacks dring a single game time with bad luck, 60-90 is almost sure. What puts you back to to nowhere territory.

Uggh... I manage top 5 in no holds barred, and I get 3 Hood covers, which is cool and all but not what I'm looking for. And of course the reward for this tourney is Classic Spidey and all I have is a lv41 patch... that's what I get for taking the devs up on their increased sellback offer

I had the same in mine. Same guy that hit me multiple times in LR with a 2* wolvie and non maxed thor and whatever else.
Beating my two 3 3*'s first time every time

He hit me twice in this on his way to the top.

Man, am I the only one disappointed to see this again instead of more No Holds Barred? (Particularly with the Hood rewards. I'm only 1 yellow short of Max Yellow, and need 3 more Blues...)
