  • After thinking some more it should only be 1 out of 6 chance that the TU tile is getting in the way of a match 4/5 that you can directly place so I guess this must be a selective bias since it sure feels like I always have a match 5 broken up by a TU that I can't overwrite when I'm trying to do Deceptive Tactics/Polarity Shift. Well, due to the lack of value of TUs I suspect it's slightly more likely than 1/6 because players would not be actively match them, but should not be significantly higher.

    I think the purple's primary use would be for an immediate match 4/5 and whatever extra you get is a bonus. I don't think using purple to saturate the board with green is generally a good idea because while it's generally a good color for you, it's also a good color for the opponent. This isn't like Iron Fist where if they don't have X Force it is usually a good idea to saturate the board with black because the difference between the top black ability (Surgical Strike) and rest is so big that you don't care about trading black abilities. Trading green abilities with an opponent is likely to get messy due since great green powers are dime a dozen.

    I'm not sure this is correct - during ISO-8 Brotherhood I used Doom against Ragnarok quite a bit and more than once I've ended up with a blue Diabolical Plot tile because of his Thunderclap.

    Traps are weird because enemy traps work like basic tiles, but friendly traps do not. So for example, Patch will not overwrite friendly traps, but will overwrite enemy traps.

  • So many pages to read.... Concerning her artwork, has anyone else assumed that this is maybe her "female artist" alternate cover? I know it's past the first of the month now but I still have the alternate artwork. I guess we can hope, but to be fair she does look like that everytime I've seen her as opposed 4hor never looking like her aeon flux inspired cover.

    I just want to hulk bomb with her and see if it's as much fun as I think it will be...

    I'll admit that I'm behind on reading all the previous pages but after playing with her a lot in PvE (especially with grind down) the amount of time added to each ability cast is really annoying. Especially with LCap where I'm multi-shield tossing every other turn I wish the animation wouldn't go off if you were already at full life. With Xforce is use ability, animation, pause, cascade, resolve. Takes so damn long to string together abilities on your kill turn. I also really hate how the animation goes off after you've won a match. Its a temporary heal so I don't care if it goes off as the match ends.

    Her heal animation is cute and quirky, like she is. Her character profile image is terrible. Part of it is the no bones rubber arm, part of it is the hair/face looking like she's 40, part of it is the pose they chose to put her in, part of it is her other non stretched arm is too long (straightened it looks like her hand would be passed her knees). All of it is just ... not good. She

    So I just used Mutant Revolutionary with full health and KK didn't show up. There was a delay tho between power used, and the breaking of the red tile matches like it WANTED to show up.

    It was spamming like crazy for me on goon nodes when I was topped so I don't know about that.

    Who else has a great green ability? There's 3* Thor and Patch and that's about it. Most people have R&G and Iron Fist with 3 green covers so their abilities are ****. Torch's green is pretty good but if you saturated the board with green you'll likely be able to match the CD tile away quickly. She-Hulk, Gamora, Doc Ock, Beast, Mohawk, or Rags? Don't make me laugh. The only really great power belongs to super-scaled Ares.

    Yes and no - if it's a friendly Doom tile, it's not considered a basic tile. If it's an enemy Doom, his tiles are considered basic as you can't tell which are which.

    4* you have Xforce, 3* you got Patch Punisher Thor Gamora Torch GSBW and IF. R&G and Hulk are acceptable but not so great (same goes for Mohawk but the rest of her kit doesn't really make her viable). SG is decent to good, I haven't played with her enough.

    I think they hotfixed Kamala's heal to no longer proc when you're topped, I've done several matches on the new nodes and haven't seen it when I'm maxed. Didn't notice if it goes off at the end of the match or not though.
  • I just noticed her perple works well with Patch. Not in the usual way, but what you do is you turn purple tiles green.

    There are no enemy strike tiles if there's no purple left on the board. icon_twisted.gif

    Unfortunately that's where the synergy ends, as the rest of their toolkit really doesn't work well together.

    On the flipside you can do that to Daken's blue in PvE fights and maybe choke him to death. Might be interesting but you will end up proccing Pheromone Rage a lot.

    You're right that I forgot to mention XF. I was just going with the assumption that the player is using him. icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Most of the other green abilities you mentioned aren't that great. Green has this reputation of being a powerhouse color but other than Patch and Thor there aren't really any great green abilities in 3* characters.
