  • So we are an expert after reading your superficial story that we arent told she is a pakistani american muslim?

Not that it matters. If you all are going to ram politically correct unpopular characters down our throats at least bring along the lesson we were supposed to learn from them.
  • Hah, Spidey venom of course, that one will be great

Why does there have to be a lesson anyway?even though i have never read a kamala khan comic before i remember the same bigots saying the same thing when she came out,a storm in a teacup.by that logic hank pym is the poster boy for wife-beaters all over the world.smh
  • Good god... she's supposed to be a teen, but she looks more like an mentally impaired old hag wearing a wig... yet another character I was actually looking forward to, completely ruined instead.

They really need to hire a second artist to do the females for this game...

I think she looks pretty decent. Should make a great support player. Even does a bit of damage.

I just have one question :..... I can see the burst of health being temporary for her team mates, but why is hers not "true healing"? Kamala is supposed to have healing factor right? In Ms. Marvel #3 she was shot, then a few minutes later, she was better. So why does she not "true heal"? Just wondering.
  • While I commend Marvel for bringing in diversity into its world, I just find this character to be too child like for my own taste and interest. I guess the New Marvel is supposed to cater to a new generation of different taste to my own outdated gen X. I personally love my hero to have that "bad ****" appeal. All of a sudden I find Doctor Octopus more interesting. icon_lol.gif well Kudos to Marvel, it seems this character might be more popular with kids and internationals.

ETA: It also dawned on me, it will look bad to see Child like Kamala get jab jabbed crossed by Luke Cage. Just the image of that alone is so wrong in my book.

Using her "true healing" weakens her other powers, if I'm right.

Yeah, I think it does. It also makes her really hungry. But it's still "true healing". Shouldn't that count for something?

I can see that, but if you ever read Stan Lee's high-school years on Spider-man and enjoyed them, then you would like Ms. Marvel. I just read the first collected volume and I have to say, it's much better at capturing high-school drama and angst than the Spider-man reboots have done (Bendis' Ultimate Spider-man for example). Ms. Marvel is maybe as ground-breaking as Stan Lee's Spider-man, too.

You're right too, she is just a kid. But that didn't stop Stan Lee from writing issues where Peter Parker got mercilessly beat up by Dr. Doom and Doc Ock. Life is hard when you're a teen superhero.
  • I can see what point you are making from the equality of gender perspective. I guess I can't accept it that way, since my old fashioned Western upbringing has taught me that it is wrong to hit girls period. I still cringe when my OBW gets an uppercut blow, or even when I have to do an admantium slash to storm. I get what you are trying to get at when Spider Man was a boy, but to my upbringing that was generally accepted. Boys were expected to fight for themselves even at a young age, and I know this is supposed to be the same logic to modern girls. But my mind just can't accept that. I look at my daughter, and I don't want her to be a fighter and especially get hit on, even if she had super powers that can kill an entire army like in the movie "The Fire Starter." Still, felt uncomfortable with an army attacking poor little Drew Berrymore even though she had powers like Johnny.

Btw, is it safe to assume that another hero's passive abilities will not trigger her own passive healing ability? Sorry if this has been mentioned in the last 9 pages...

Powers aside, the artwork is terrible. She looks like a "Bobs Burgers" middle aged housewife character.

Looks like you cannot target green after all with her purple. It looks like a solid ability, if a bit challenging to use effectively. It's nice to have another ability with a modicum of strategy associated with it.

There are plenty of other characters in MPQ with healing factors which aren't reflected in their game abilities. Like with everyone else I'm sure they ignore some of her powers in the interest of balance. (Well, as far as MPQ can be regarded as balanced.)
  • With all the strong, well known and vibrant female characters in the Marvel Universe I just have one thing to say on choosing a 2nd rate Ms Marvel to finish this supposed women month:

    Booooo!
  • So you guys think that Kamala Khan is better than black widow? Seems here healinh power will be a major plus

Its not the character I expected to see. It's not popular in Russia, so we didn't know her. Let's see what she can.

3*BW? Yeah. 2*? It's pretty hard to be better than 2*BW beyond level difference.
