  • Did they fix the lvl tank? I've killed off 6 people and yet everything is 230.

*sigh* another sub. I'm not having any fun in this event anymore, at all. But I want my Daredevil covers.

GAAAAA I know. I don't want to play the event anymore, but I really want the Daredevil Covers. I'm curious is he's going to be available in the PVP tourney ala Patch.
  • Anyone else not gotten their Family Reunion rewards yet? 30 minutes seems like a long time. I'm waiting on my last red and yellow Patch covers, and I'm getting very, very nervous.

    EDIT:

Flash: Glad it's not just me.

Beavers: Didntou download the update? After the update, everything reset to lvl 20-70 for me.
  • Why do the developers require you to have certain characters to access certain fights? it's extremely difficult as a new player to compete if you don't have certain required characters. This only helps the rich get richer. If you are going to have a contest, then why set it up that certain people can't win no matter how well they may play. I did pretty good on the last Thick as Thieve contest but I was limited in how high I could move up the rankings because of this limitation. And I see the same requirement in the new version. This is really unfair and I can't understand the logic behind it at all. Very frustrating.

Has been like this for every tourney they have done. Nothing you can do about it unfortunately, except try to get that characters.

I got the rewards 10 minutes ago.

I am done with the subs. I mean 'done' like I finally have all covers I need to build Patch any way I like (which I haven't decided yet) and 'done' like I can't take this any more, so I won't bother playing them again. I will only play 3-4 more times the main and count on rubber banding to carry me a little higher. Somehow I managed to climb to #2 even though I played only once most missions, so if I stay until the end in the top 10, fine. If not, top 50 will have to do.

Without any of the other broken heroes like Spiderman, matches take too long and the cost too much ISO. Two +3 X/X boosts are 400 ISO and without them success is uncertain which makes playing against high level characters no longer cost effective. Thankfully, the devs decided to help us so they allowed tanking in pve. All you have to do is lose intentionally some matches. So it is "In order to win, you first have to lose." icon_eek.gif which means that in addition to the countless hours you have to play when it is not convenient for you, you have to play even more in order to drop the levels of the enemies so you have a chance. Grinding at its finest. Oh, and if you decide to use even 1 boost, forget about making any progress in your endless quest for ISO.
  • I don't think tanking does anything anymore. Least I've tanked 15 characters to no effect and I'm not capped at 230 so it isn't overlevels. I was trying to lower them from lv40ish. One of the devs did mention in another thread that they were working on fixing tanking so I guess they did. At least it scaled up much slower now.
  • As far as I can tell the tanking has very minimal effect on the mission that normally would be the '230X3'. It definitely works on the missions that are your generic mid range missions and that was the primary reason I did tanking, because 3 level 230 Muscles is pretty painful to beat.

I'm still getting the same effect from tanking (that is, all my high end missions are still level 40 instead of 230). The 230 missions go something like 40 -> 47 -> 57 -> 67 -> 77 -> 100 something -> 200 something: their levels grow exponentially. If you're still seeing them at 230, you probably just need to do more tanking.
  • I was actually enjoying this event and grinding out Patch covers, until they made it cost 100HP to use +3 All Boosts. Now with that and the fact that Patch gives strike tiles to those LVL 230 bosses... I'm getting creamed like everyone else. Never has the suck level risen so quickly in a game than this one has in the last week or so.
  • I fought one mission that everyone was lvl 50 in the new bracket and won. Now every one is over 200. Looks like its time to find something else to help the day along.

Well it worked for jozier lets see if it works for me. I have not gotten my rewards yet...

EDIT: Like Magic! Post and get reward!
  • Hmm, the levels of the enemy hasn't gone down for a while, but they also didn't go up when I win. I also see The Who which features one level 230 Hood and when I came back later it was 3 guys. Wonder what's going on here.

    Not working for me!
  • How is this tanking thing working? Must I play with my low level team and lose with them or can I retreat to get the same effect?

Based on history, dying lowers the difficulty of the levels. It does not work every time (lag? random?) but it's very consistent once you got enough people killed (like 15 of them). The level/quality of the guys dying do not matter. Right now it doesn't seem like this tactic is working anymore. I don't see my missions levels go down for losing or go up for winning, so I'm not sure what's going on here. In general, there is always going to be one mission that you can clearly tell is meant to be the 230X3. That mission seems to be incredibly resilient to this tactic, but if you're fighting level 230X3 Maggia goons, send 15 or 25 guys to their doom usually gets them down to a manageable level (in the 100s) pretty quickly.
  • I've all but given up on this 1. Patch and wolvie held my teams together. Relied on boosts to get going and keep safe at beginning. I can barely finish a match now. Days of hard work out the window on this 1.
