  • I don't know if anyone is reading the other threads but IceX just said this:
Thick as Thieves was tested fairly well, but it wasn't anticipated how much the PVE scaling would take effect with a large playerbase. The thing you may not see is that it's not just *your* performance in missions that raises or lowers your scaling, but also others performances. If you're doing well on a given mission and everyone else is too, that scaling will ramp quicker. Conversely, it's possible that a mission is there that people lose at constantly, so scaling is much slower.

Which I found very, very interesting.
  • So much crazy in one little download.

Hey, Gambit, if you're on, are you trying for first in our sub? I can concede it if you want it (assuming I end up anywhere close - I'm taking nothing for granted with the points explosion sending everyone's scores haywire). Or anyone else, for that matter.

How many people actually lose to a mission? Most people only go in if they thing they have a good shot at winning. Which means most will only scale up quickly.

The fact that they didn't think about the size of their playerbase when testing this is also very, very telling.
  • Does anyone know if the main bracket missions refresh?

That certainly explains why sometimes a mission mysteriously goes down in level even after you beat it.
  • Does anyone know if the main bracket missions refresh?

Yes, seems like after 8 hours
  • Well, now that there's changes, bye-bye #1 main ranking, bye-bye Daredevil icon_e_sad.gif
  • Not one of my missions has gone down from 230. Glad Daken's animation is quicker just a side note

Welp, I guess I'm screwed then for not doing them.

Rubberbanding usually ensures missing a refresh to not be a problem as long as you didn't miss the last refresh.
  • I was trying for #1, but now I think I'm just gonna relax and settle for top 50 or whatever. With the rubberbanding in full effect, it feels difficult to ensure a 4* cover, and the Patch nerf (ok...fix) has made it a real chore to slog through these lv230 fights. I'm sure there will be many opportunities to pick up Daredevil covers in the future.

The patch nerf/fix combined with the boost cost increasing makes fighting the higher level opponents incredibly difficult.

Yeah...I maxed out his Berserker Rage (Green)...bad, bad, bad move on my point. It's literally committing suicide.
  • my patch isn't changed yet...but I have the new thor/wolverine powers?

Also, I'm tanking the subs now, just trying to land 6-10 for the heroics. Figure i'll save them for when Daredevil becomes available, much rather do that than getting a single patch cover considering I still need some villain covers.

I'm the same. Don't need another Patch, but I'll take the Heroics.

Just earned my Red Patch cover progression reward, and when I went to sell it, it got added to my Patch. Cursed tiny phone screen. I had been planning on 5/3/5, but now with a 3/4/2 I guess I need to reevalute.
  • Lvl 140 Maggia popped one str tile and the. A tommy gun and my entire team died. Without boosts, and the patch fix I just can't control the board or output enough DMg to fight even 140s anymore. Perhaps this is fixed but it sure feels like less fun now.

I was using patch to pop a ton of str tiles and punishers black would simply destroy but now punishers is weak using either patch or wolverine. Seriously need to rethink strategy completely at this point.

I've been running with 70 obw and 65 Wolvie. I now see this will be impossible to even place in events.

I'd go more with moronic than interesting. What's the most sensible way to deal with goon-only missions where everything's going to, if not one-hit you, leave you unable to be sneezed on for a week? Retreat as soon as anything's going to go off! You'll take less damage and can just start again. According to these idiots' system, goon missions are harder to deal with than, say, Control/Ares/Venom. Don't say they are. Yes, I know Threaten is evil at 230. To be fair, it might distinguish between units downed and just the user backing out.
  • *sigh* another sub. I'm not having any fun in this event anymore, at all. But I want my Daredevil covers.
  • anybody else not get prizes from the last sub that just finished?
