Accidentally joined the 230 Ares, Moonstone, Bullseye mission without boosts and finished easily lol.

4/3/5 Patch is nice. 5/3/5 is going to make this a cakewalk.

Patch is broke as Fffffuuuu** at the moment. The boost exacerbated the issue to the 10th degree. Lvl 30 and he is, with 9 green, turning anybody's matches into mjolnirs basically. Mjolnirs into thuderstrikes etc. The lvl 200+ missions are super easy with boosts as long as you have a patch. With magneto I am finishing on turn 3-6 usually with a net loss of around 500-1000 hp or 0 if I bother stun locking till I have yellow with spidey. Running thor patch mag when I don't have to use spidey.

Also, it takes a while, but if u don't want or cannot fight the 200+ then just tank fights. About 10-15 min of constant tanking can get you through all 30 covers (my #) and should drop the enemy by over 100 lvls. Worth it for easy farming with no boosts. I usually don't care enough and I actually do the harder missions last as, with boosts, I see little met diff between fighting a lvl 160 and a lvl 200+.

I got a partial 4th bracket before I had to stop due to time constraints in clearing, phantron is about 300 pts ahead going into the finale, boy did I hit a Hard core main bracket.

I did my last set way early. I don't think that lead is going to hold at all.

I just fought Bullseye/Moonstone/Ares again - used boosts. Beat them on turn 1 lol. They literally did not take a turn.

The high levels are still extreme and more than a tad over-the-top... but they are growing on me a bit. icon_e_geek.gif

Must be ridiculously unfriendly to new-to-mid-range players, and I do miss farming all 4 prizes from each mission, but I am getting the hang of them now (completing all missions at least once without using buffs) and I do feel like a better player doing them.

Still as annoying as heck to have to keep quitting every-time the AI gets a cascade and either kills a character outright or charges a deathly power I don't have the AP to counter, though. icon_neutral.gif

I won't miss it presuming the rules are more conventional next event (ideally a re-run of this one) but not Worst Event Ever, as it felt on day one.

still wont have enough to catch, but my sub bracket will only take 1 mission to win at this point, so I have that going for me

This explanation just reads like a weird justification of "pay 2 win", and I mean pay a lot not 20$ or so. I guess I am a mid-to high range player and totally loathe this event, it does not feel like I am any better playing when I win, just that the coin ended on my side.

Also, I do not believe that Patch so called "bug" is nothing but a planned "feature" so that high end players and whales would feel nice playing the event and continue pouring money.

Then for next event Daredevil will have another miracle bug, and this time even less "normal" players will have it, and the big spenders will feel even more special rolling the next event with their paidtomax Daredevils boosted and "bugged".

In case you didn't notice, I am pissed with this event. I am definitely considering stop playing for a while, but for now the other pvp tourneys are at least fun... For now...
  • Sitting on 1200 points in my sub. 250 ahead of 2nd place.
3200 points in my main (1000/1000/1200 from 3/3/4) 100 points behind colognoisseur and about 150 points ahead of 2nd place.

just ran through all of my stacks to give me about 250 points and put me in first place by 8

except for the 230 mission, which would be about 70 points

I'm waiting for someone to retake first place before I crush their spirits because I'm a horrible person

    Damn.

#6 with 921 and no points to harvest.

#1 992, the rest somewhere in between, all pretty close. The catch is: start as late as possible, get the most points, right?

Got some good boards on the 230 levels and #1 with 6 points to spare....photo finish LoL

And no way in hell are the 1 point missions worth it

Start at late as possible while doing multiple cycles: I'm at 1142 with 3 refresh cycles done. 2nd place is at 869 (which I assume was 2 cycles).
  • Damn, lost #1 with 10 mins to go and depleted points icon_e_sad.gif
I'll take it as I sign I have to go 3/5/5 Patch icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • I was using the loaned Patch early on because he was better than the one I had (1/1/1) and he worked fine in his current broken state.

There's almost no way you'd lose with Patch when you've resolved Berserker Rage, even the loaned one.
  • Woop 1st place. Gonna finish my 5/3/5 Patch. Will make PVE a breeze.

Daedelus you're killing me in the main bracket. Me leaving a couple hundred points on the table during my refresh mix-up was not good icon_e_wink.gif

Exact same total here, except I have 3341 points in the main, and my 4 resets in this sub were more like 3 1/2 as I got tired and went to sleep in the middle of one of them. I'm not sure why I'm getting more points than you for doing less.

By the way, it's worth noting that I gained about 50 points over 2nd place in my main by doing the extra 4th reset. Not sure if it's worthwhile or not.
  • Narkon refuses to let me have a green patch cover. Forever 3/3/5.

I don't mind boosting, so most of these matches are fairly easy for me with 60 Patch (3/3/3) 50 OBW (3/5/5) and 45 hood (5/5/2). So much ap steal that enemies can't get off abilities, and stealing blue against maggia is nice since I can get more for OBW's blue to increase countdowns. Worst comes to worst, hood uses his yellow to take out some troublesome CD's as well. I guess it goes to show how broken Patch is right now that I can rely on 2 utility and just 1 damage source hah. OBW would not really live if Patch gave enemies strike tiles.

After this round I should have 5 covers each for Patch lol.

I'm tempted to try out 4/5/4 with patch, but I'm still probably going to go 5 / 3 / 5.

    3 full* cycles: 1124pts (* -10pts Maggia )
  • Finished at 1107 points and a free 200 ISO completion bonus because my match ended shortly after the event ended and the game is buggy. Was just going for the 9th recruit token anyway.
