It's me, too!
Punisher and Patch are the only two 3***s I have near complete (unsurprisingly, since I started playing over winter break). I plan to play Punisher/Patch/OBW, so I'm putting 5 red and 3 green into my Patch so they will play nicely together.0 -
Psychosocial wrote:I didn't mean to derail the thread, this belongs in character discussion, just can't see why everybody is in love with his green
I've bumped up his green because it is crazy great until it is fixed. Once it is fixed I'll reevaluate but there will probably be a new flavor of the week by then. It is coming in real handy during this event that is for sure.
Regarding the dificulty of this event, I wonder if they made it harder to compensate for the patch bug and overdid it a bit for those that don't have patch covers.0 -

Shhh ... we need players to grind the full 4 cycles for more rubberbanded points.
Feel free lol. This is now drifting into not good timing for UK with later finishes, so there's no way I'm doing 4 cycles. Maybe 3, if I can sneak enough bathroom breaks into my working afternoon!0 -

Rubberband strikes again...
Looks like another lap around the three subs, this time at triple the points.
So, at 1200ish for a max 4-cycle run, top scores should be (1200 + 1200 + 1200 + 3600 + 3600 + 3600) = 14400 over the six rounds. Thus, there will be at least 6000ish points on the main map that will open up once Daredevil is unlocked - which at the current place should happen over the next few hours.
Rubberbanding for subs is definitely based off your main bracket leaders. Enjoying the rubberband pull of the 4-cycle leaders of my bracket to cruise to easy sub bracket wins.
Double bonus for me - pilled Spidey Blue and Doom Blue off of standard tokens won on my run.0 -

Daedelus you're killing me in the main bracket. Me leaving a couple hundred points on the table during my refresh mix-up was not good
It won't hold up, I completed all 4 refreshes last bracket but only aiming to do 3 this one.0 -
I won all 3 of my subs using only 3 cycles. Lucky I guess?0

Something up with the rubber banding for this sub? I got 924, whereas 3 depletions for the las two subs were just barely above 1k. And I wasn't particularly low in my main bracket either, mid single digits.0

I played in a sub for only one set this morning. I still scored in the upper 800s, about the same as when I did 3 rotations in the first three subs.0 -
Pleased to say I managed to get 2nd in my sub without ever battling the last boss IX. My spidey 3* is still junky and no matter how much tanking I did the last battle never went below 230.
Did 3 cycles and tried to time them as best as possible for rubber banding. Been around 20th in my main after each sub, so not overly abusing the rubber band points. That makes 5th, 3rd and 2nd now in my subs without doing the max 2 battles per fight per refresh on any of them
I would sum up my experience as saying it's very possible to win patch covers without winning every possible fight.0 -
I must be doing something *almost* right. I've come in second in three consecutive sub-brackets. Missed first by one point in the second one.
My sub brackets aren't the high scorers though; I've never been above #5 in my main bracket, and then only very, very briefly. I expect to end in the low 'teens at this point.0 -
I've gone 1,1,3 and the third was mainly because I needed only a yellow to finish Patch and figured I would let second have his extra cover. Left about 100 points on the board.
Back at work now though so I expect to lose competitiveness.0 -

Have you played in a sub only once? If yes, how was your score compared to a sub where you played all 4 or 3 rotations and where are you in your main?
I played in a sub for only one set this morning. I still scored in the upper 800s, about the same as when I did 3 rotations in the first three subs.
My record so far:
Day 1: Two incomplete runs [didn't know the how to reduce the mob levels] - 700ish points - 25th place in sub - 250th place in main bracket.
Day 2 : One late run via rubberband - 940ish points - 1st in sub, 50th in main bracket.
Day 3: One late run via rubberband [testing and verifying point theories from Day 2] - 974 points - 1st in sub (by 75ish points) - 25th in main bracket ~ about 600 off the pace of Psyko and Colognoisseur.
There are some interesting nuances as well in scoring of each sub, which is allowing me to score much higher than I should for the amount of effort I am directly applying to scoring. Keeping those close to the vest for a few more rounds (need some more yellow and red Patch still), but these effects are easy enough to observe.
Watching curiously, as Psyko has already scored 900ish points in the bracket on the opening run, for the response of the other bracket leader.
**Extremely curious** about how the unlock event scoring will play out on the main page once DD unlocks imminently. If my hypotheses are valid, then there should be potential for some epic rubberbanding for points. Will need to study how the two scoring events interact with each other, although I do have I good idea how they should interact.0 -

This event's structure was really different compared to the previous ones, so theres more theorycrafting, complaining, etc to talk about.0 -
Looks like I got another easy bracket. Gonna do 3 repeats this time most likely due to convenience issues. Sold off a red last time. Will max patch next 1st place as a 4/4/5. 3/4/4 atm0
