ROFL...
1 45-minute run in Anderson, and I won my sub with 914 points...
/hides the Rubberband of Everlasting Elasticity +5
And it does appear the closing rating of mob levels from Anderson carry over to the mob levels in Scotland Yard...
...which completely validates my suspicions on this event is working and how to effectively address this issue.
Will have to see, for science, if my strategy again is super effective tomorrow in winning my next sub.0 -
Jozier were you able to finish the 4th refresh last time?0
-
I won a sub event for the first time. \o/
Still, I hope that tomorrow the devs will be back and will comment on the enemy scaling. I think there is a complete concensus among the players that the current form at least is not good. They should think about proper reset mechanics, level caps, slower scaling or something, as long as suiciding pointlessly for half an hour does not become required to get a high tournament placement.0 -

I think I ended with the same amount of points for first in mine, maybe it was 912, took me an hour using Patch/OBW/Hood against DAs and Patch/OBW/Loki against maggia muscle.
Fun stuff. I'm especially excited not to be relying on Spidey.0 -
It's nice to know that I can bring down the enemy levels by throwing all of my covers that I never use (Hawkeye/Bullseye/IM35/Venom/Yelena/etc) to the wolves.
What's the refresh timer? It seemed to be 9-10. Wasn't 8 for me, but I had new stacks before 11 hours.
I just got 1st in my bracket so I'm close to finishing my Patch, and after that I'm just gonna coast most likely.0 -

yeah, I would have been banned for tanking pvp a long time ago if that was the case
More like half of the forums, to be honest.
Who should be banned is the dev (designer) who thought it up this way and the whole QA department passing it. I'm sure my tester guy would flame me straight to hell half hour in testing session and demand the stuff I was smoking.0 -
How are other brackets doing?
We're at 43,300,000+, Colognoisseur with 2476 at the top.0 -

Intel is global 43M
Bracket leader has 22640 -
Set 1 finished. Hopefully I can manage 4 this time.0

I think I finished first and when I received my rewards, I lost connection in the middle of it, so I got only a yellow cover. I was first and far ahead, but perhaps people got ahead of me, there's no way to tell since there's no logs of anything in this game. Anyways, not a big deal since yellow is probably the only cover I care about right now.0

There's a discussion about Patch in the character forum but anyone have ideas on ideal builds? It's really hard to decide and I have a red/yellow burning a hole in my cache with a 3/3/3 Patch.0

Max Yellow. Undecided on 5/3/5 or 4/4/5.
The guaranteed regen is a life saver if your healer dies. It worked with Astonishing, and I'm sure it'll be the same with Patch.0 -

Should have said at the top of your reward popup where you placed.0 -

I am going 5/3/5.
I don't know how well red scales, but it feels too pricey. At 3 covers you are already getting the strike tiles. Whereas auto yellow regen is always paying off
And the step up from 4 strikes to 6 in green is massive. If you're not in the market for strike tiles you wouldn't be fielding Patch so anything less is a felony.0 -

Yeah I guess I'm just nervous about giving 6 to the other team. I don't find myself using red a ton but on occasion. But I won't need the damage scale up most likely. Hm.
I think I'll probably go 5/3/5 and wince every time the enemy team makes a match in the future when they fix him.0 -

You can always just make sure there aren't 6 purples on the board.0 -
Yeah I figure I'm okay (still getting smacked hard in Army of One) but the reward just took forever to came in.
There really isn't much to do with rubberbanding on this round given how little points there are to begin with. If you won with a low score, you had an easy bracket. My sub bracket's top score was like 1103 and I just had the misfortune of being in that one (I had 1100). I was #2 on the overall bracket after the end of the 2 sub brackets, but I didn't win any sub bracket, and lost them by a considerable margin (5 points is a huge margin when every mission is 1). I must have had some really bad luck.
This round I didn't start tanking (seemed to time consuming) and just play it straight up. I think they really should have the middle missions settle at around 150 or so instead of going to 230. I know technically that doesn't change anything on the goon missions, but looking at guys with 9999 HP that can one shot you is just really scary. I find that on the goon missions I just immediately retreat if they get any damage abilities off (because those are almost certain one hit kill). I get 4 chances to beat them and as long as I can beat them, Spiderman can get all my guys back to full health even if I started the fight with just 1 HP.0 -
Yeah, I think the strategy around using his green at lvl 5 will be more about timing it correctly with either very few purple tiles on the board or with some easy match-4s or match-3s ready to be matched after you trigger it.
Obviously Loki will do just fine with that, too.0
