I seriously wonder how the more casual players are enjoying this event. If the same enemy level mechanic is going on at lower levels--even with proportional scaling--I can picture huge swaths of the casual crowd becoming demoralized by the event.

The lowering of the world-wide DD unlock total by almost 85% would also suggest to me that a major miscalculation was made by the dev team on projecting scoring and participation for this event.

They should do fine I think.

They aren't going to be facing the hordes of 230, and they will be selective on the missions they can beat. As a result their difficulty will never scale while their rubber band gets stretchier.

There are few patches available, but there are heroic tokens out there for the top 50 out of 200. That should be within reach with 5x bandied and up.

Back when I started I loved the PvE minion battles because my team were too squishy to take hits from villains, but if I played we'll enough I could avoid all minion damage. And I lived for heroic tokens
  • Gosh... Wake up in the morning 3am and start grinding like hell before sub mission end at 5am in my area... Damn worth it manage grab 2nd spot along with 2 path cover and 100 hp icon_mrgreen.gif
Well finally my patch wolverine sitting at 3/3/2
  • Gah, this wall of 230's is sapping my enjoyment of this event. From reading the forums, I should be throwing bodies at them to lower their level but surely that's not what the devs intended?

I like the scaling difficultly but I think the difficulty should reset for each sub-event. That way you get a bit of fun beat'em-up time, collect a few rewards and get to see the story. Then if you want more rewards and points, you have to face harder opponents the second time through. Now if feels like I'm missing out on half the event because I can't clear the 230 Dark Avengers. At least I can clear the Maggia/Hammer events but only through careful board control.

Hope the devs manage to balance the challenge to fun ratio a bit better in the next event.

I know the feeling I can win all the fights with boosts but I don't really have the desire to any more and well I'm only short one patch cover now.
  • I think this sub is easier. Even the Dark Avengers missions are pretty low on level and team difficulty so I was able to win twice on each mission with the exception of the last (Ares, Juggernaut, Moonstone) who just won't fall below 230. The buffed Juggernaut is scary with his cheap abilities. Each time he uses one he KOs one of my heroes.
I will wait a bit before I do my second run as I see the points climbing every 1-20 minutes, but since I am interested mostly for the yellow cover, top 5 if fine with me.

EDIT: Sometimes I wish I had the option to play with Maggia in this event.

Why does this event even have progression rewards above 10k points, when each mission can only be beaten once before awarding 1 point, and their point values aren't going back up?

Actually each can be beaten twice (for more than 1pt) every 8 hrs

It appears to be random luck, as half of people are reporting 1pt reward after a single run at every mission, and half of people are reporting 2 runs before they're single point missions, and same goes for the 8hr reset, about half of people aren't witnessing a reset in this event.
  • I'm giving up putting any effort into this; it just isn't worth it. I've got pretty much no boosts left, and I don't feel like putting all of my iso into boosts when I need it to level characters up. I think I"m going to do every mission (well, except for some of them) once and I'm done. I'll get my gratis Daredevil cover, and hope they fix this bfore they run it again.

On average, if you run with boost all and 1 other two colour boost, you will average 5 iso gain per a match, if 70 iso and 140 iso are equally likely? while you might not gain iso, you shouldn't be eating into your iso reserves?

Is it just me, or the event has just dropped to basic levels?
I was #4 on first sub-mission, but with my 85 obw, 85awolv, 70+ ares, I pretty much hit my limit, so skipped the second event entirely (beat two or three missions, couple of times)
The same situation was with third event, but now I see in the last level (Scotland Yard XI) Juggernaut 40 and two muscles 40 lvl.
The prizes are red IM35, blue IM35, blue modern hawkeye, purple original hawkeye.
Prizes for the event are strange too, I'll attach a picture.

And another thing, I don't see Punisher pvp event
*edit Everything is back to "normal" now. Should have grinded much more, while had a chance =/
  • For me, OBW is invaluable in this event. OK, she may not make my runs as easy as Spiderman would, but still, for a 2* hero she is the... well, THE hero of the event (for me).
I usually take her and Patch/Wolverine 2* with someone else (usually my 21lv Thor since no other uses yellow and with his cheap red buffed by Patch's Strike tiles can deal some damage if I want to finish someone low on health before triggering a CD tile). OBW with Espionage 5 deals more than 2k damage for each match 3 and her ability to steal AP and increase countdown time make her great. She deals even more damage if there are 6+ Strike tiles on the board. Each Maggia enemy goes down in 2-3 turns and the Dark Avengers in 3-5 turns. However, 230lv matches are still too hard for me, so I just skip them and continue with my life. That is until 8 hours pass. I have no idea how I would do with just 1 run per sub-event in the last 2 hours. It may be worth trying it with the next. This is the thing I dislike most about these events. Forcing you back every 8 hours is not fun at all. I hope there was an option to refresh the missions when you want, but be limited to 2 refreshes. Something like having 2 "refresh packs" that expire after each events ends so that everyone could play optimally whenever he/she can.
  • Hope I can get at least to rank 5 in that sub bracket, really want that yellow cover for Patch.

Which means I put a ton of effort into treading water, and that's assuming I win every match, which hasn't been the case. This whole thing seems pointless, since the decent prizes are all out of reach, and every match is a grind. I finally figured out that if a retreat 15 or so times I can get a few missions back to playable, but they start going right back up after I win a few.

I'm in your main bracket running (if no one else is required) 60 obw, 60 patch, 90 hood, and 60 Loki.

Done each sub once (1.5 hours before close is probably best), each mission twice. I was in 49th or so after the first sub, at 24 after the second. Top 5 and top 1 finishes in the two subs.

Because of works I'll have to do today's sub earlier but I'll update how this method is working for me.

And the highest level enemies I've seen have been around 150. Now that I know about tanking my first battle in Scotland is at level 17.

Haven't used a single boost for this event.
  • This event makes me really worried about the upcoming Spidey nerf. It would be downright impossible for me to beat any of the lvl 200+ without him. Hell even the error with Patch dropping 4 strike tiles seems necessary to win.

I agree with everyone else. I wish the sub events would at least reset. Or at least put a level cap (around 100) on the first few missions My first fight in the last one was 3 lvl 230 Maggia turds. Miss one blue Tommy Gun and your ENTIRE TEAM is dead. Not fun. Once again it seems like the devs want us to play less and less.
  • You are killin me Narkon :p

Really? How do you achieve that? I threw a bag team on it 3-4 times, never dropped from 230, even by 5-10 levels.
I finally managed to defeat the 230 Juggernaut/Moonstone/Ares team with my 82 OBW, 32 Patch and a 15 (1 blue) Spiderman and not just once but twice without losing any hero. Fully boosted though with +3 all, +2 G/B and +20% to Dark Avengers. Widow came close to death once when she dropped to ~100 hp, but she survived and finished the job. Super happy about that. So far, I am #1 in the sub-bracket with a 130 lead on #2 and 5th in main with a 220 lead on #10. Psykopathic and Colognoisseur are galloping though with 1950+.

Some people suggested the boost stacks might go beyond the level cap. So if you did 10 more fights after they were already at Lv230 they might have a hidden level of 300. And you won't see an improvement until you worked that overflow down. Can't confirm it as I never pushed my enemies that high.
