Nemek, are you pushing for the green cover on our sub-bracket? It seems like we're the only ones in competition now there, I guess icon_e_biggrin.gif

Oh I'm looking forward to a pretty close finish between the two of us. icon_e_wink.gif hope you have your last minute strats laid out!

I'm in first going into my 3rd reset still lol. That's a guaranteed #1 it looks like.
  • I think some people in my second sub bracket screwed up because I should be able to win with only two clears. Also my last mission is sitting at level 72, and my first 5 missions are at level 17

maybe it's gotten more competitive? I don't know, last time I was leaving points on the board in some subs because people just weren't clearing every 8 hours. Now I'm not even top 100.

Currently i'm stuck in the third fight, maggia muscles lvl 100 are just too hard to be beaten for my present team. I've hardly won 100 iso in the first round (so thanks to only give me to fight lvl 100 opponents, fair way to thanks low ranked players) & now i can't even play no more.
This event isn't competitive at all, it's just nonsense and total failure. I just don't see even one reason to keep playing this game as the game keep you from playing it.
A game is all about enjoyment, and i can't see no more in this one.

My main bracket seems tough: ive done 2 cycles of anderson (yet to start 3rd) and 3 chcles of the last one, and im still only in 6th place, meaning that i need to keep up with 3 daily cycles in order to maintain my lead for first, this might get a little dicey.

This many 230 matches makes it hard to judge what 'last minute' is.

I think I have enough points on the board to win my sub, but I would hate to go too soon and get overrun by a rubberbander
  • HOW THE FUKK CAN YOU WIN THIS SH1T?
One unlucky cascade and my team is down, unable to play through this, let alone FARMING these **** missions. Waste of time, I'm out of this.

Tank level 5. Use the given patch+Low level characters, and retreat a lot. Enemy levels decrease every time you retreat 5 times. Ive been doing this after every mission so i only have to face level 17s all day.
  • But that is wasting my time. I like to PLAY this game. I don't like making a broken mechanic work. In fact I hate such things. Pushing such a patch online on a FRIDAY without having enough people in house to deal with possible problems like those we are experiencing....would get me fired. Or ruined.

It takes under a minute of your time after each mission to do this. You asked how to beat the missions, and i gave you an easy way to do it. Im not arguing that this system works: it obviously needs a lot of changes, but until we get those changes, the best we can do is work under the constraints of the current system for the sake of extremely easy iso and patch covets.

I feel that rubberbanding currently allows players to get back in the game, but does not make you leapfrog much, at least not in the top spots. I did not fall under top 10 in my main bracket since the second sub started.

I am a bit excited to see what happens when the bar fills. If we get two subs running at a time, it really becomes a battle of endurance lol

I feel more compelled doing all 230s, this looks just, wow, more tiresome. Then again, this might save me a huge bunch of iso. icon_e_confused.gif
  • To tank you retreat the highest battle? I haven't had an issue with the 230s but it'd be faster to have lower level battles.

It's only based on how much health you lose, so it shouldn't matter which mission you retreat from. I don't know if it's based on raw health or a percentage. If you win a battle by the skin of your teeth, this will also cause the levels to drop.
  • I always finish with max health so my levels don't lower. Maybe I'll try this tanking strategy because I've done all 3 refreshes with 230 levels lol.

I am sorry if that sounded ungrateful, I am really appreciating your help. But this is bullsh1t and from the point I am in right now it would take about 13 bazillion resets to get me back to level 17. Retreated 4 times so far, goons now around 140.

In the main bracket it doesn't matter. If I miss the rubber and on this set of missions I will hit it on the next.

But in the sub, I was getting 100 plus points for the hardest missions. If I had done them earlier when they were offering around 70 that would have created an opportunity to leapfrog.

I've stopped playing this event. I get the strategy to lower the levels of your opponents, but losing x number of battles to get a manageable fight is not fun for me. And I do like the challenge of an occasional impossible fight, but occasional is the key word there. While sailing through every fight with no challenge at all isn't fun, impossible fight after impossible fight isn't fun, either. If the leveling mechanic reset for every sub-mission, I think it would work great. As it stands... no. It's stopped being any fun at all for me.

Very well said. There's a significant subset of people, though, who will do things that aren't fun, in order to win. They should consider things like this when designing systems, but have shown on multiple occasions that they don't, for whatever reason.

One interesting thing about this event is that I won my first sub, and am about to win my second, yet I have barely broken top 200 in the main bracket. I've chosen not to grind repeatedly (something that for me is less "not fun" than offing my guys a few times). So, if their intent was to give daredevil covers to those that do, I can live with that, disappointed though I may be (Daredevil looks awesome). In the meantime, my Patch will have max covers in short order, so can't complain. There will be other chances at Daredevil.
  • My one issue is not fighting for the 500 ISO and recruit tokens. I have most but not all, but the cost of fighting level 230s isn't worth it for 500 ISO or a standard recruit token.

Yeah, even after my 3rd depletion, I'm topping out at #13 in my main bracket. I'm not sure I'll even be able to get the 2nd DD cover at this rate
  • Ok TheLadder, I'm sitting behind you with a couple of stacks unfinished. You owe me 1000 ISO. icon_lol.gif
