Wow, this new system is shafting me hard, and it didn't even buy me dinner. Epic fail imo, I shouldn't start a sub bracket needing boosts. Was really looking forward to the story but this just feels like hard work.

It's just expensive and time consuming for me. I have to use boosts but they are easy with them.

I just don't know whether to use Patch or ** Wolvie.
I found most of them go more smoothly with Patch, obviously once you get 9 green. He's the only character with a really heavy buff - it's only marginally noticeable on the others if they're high enough level that it starts tapering off. Combine that with the current highly suspicious "bug" and, once his tiles are out, you can idly match anything with OBW and gawp at the ridiculous numbers. I hereby dub this event Snikt and The Widow.

Daken's a spanner if he's high enough level that his strike tiles become more threat than nuisance. You might want Astonishing vs him because he can shut him down more easily, though I just stuck with Patch, boosted 6g and killed him fast.
  • This whole event is just bizarre. I'm not having any fun playing thru it at all. I guess I'll just spend my time grinding Army of One instead.

Yeah. At some point Wolverine is more powerful (once you get enough strike tiles out you do similar damage, but his red will hit for 4K too) but Patch is fun. I've been alternating between the two.

BWO and Spidey are key for me though.
  • well, there goes my chance at getting Daredevil. That's all I really wanted from this tournament- a single chance at a new hero who has a high likelihood of not being available anywhere else for a long time.
Overall, I think this event could have had promise, but it was implemented in the wrong way, or too severely, or something. Oh well.

I am pretty sure that we are all getting a Daredevil when we fill that global meter. You should be fine.
  • I been using lvl 15 bwo 69 spidey and 85 wolvie whenever possible.
Lvl 39 Patch is only involved when mandatory.

    Easily #1 in my sub.
#2 in my main way ahead of #3.
    Still getting crushed by colognoisseur.

Yeah, I guess so. I don't mean to sound like such a sourpuss, but he looks so darn cool/good... Here's hoping we'll all get a Daredevil!
  • When a something, in this case a game, starts feeling like a chore, forget it. They didn't think this through. I'm taking it easy. If I can fight any of the battles without needing boosts, I'll do 'em. If not, forget 'em. Sucks that I probably won't get the whole storyline. They should offer a mode where you can take part in the event without worrying about rewards or points.

Another person who trailed my sub closely falls off. Maybe every1 will just get pusses and give up on event and I can get some easy daredevils. Haha!

That global # is going up preeettty slow..... Also, daredevil will be just like every other 3***...he will be thrown at us constantly until a lot of ppl are throwing him out because they've had him maxed for weeks ( a few weeks from now)...so I woukdnt worrry about that.

Edit: hadn't gotten on yet today...looks like they lowered the global considerably. Before it was about 450mill required lol.
  • I wonder if they are seeding the new Wolverine now because the nerf is set to hit his Astonishing counterpart right after this event ends.

Wow, some guys really need to get girlfriends. icon_e_wink.gif I understand some dissapointment to not be #1 in every sub event but "a slap in the face"? Come on.

They are obviously trying to tweak the events to be more challenging and interesting in the long term. Having the bad guys get higher each time you beat them is brilliant, though they may need to tweak the leveling.

I also only have one character over 100 and have yet to finish the last two fights. I happened to get a Patch and an X-Force Wolfy in a pack I bought yesterday but would love to get more of them.

Just saying we really need to keep perspective, br encouraged with what we have seen this week and enjoy the event for what it is.

Just started playing. In my bracket the first is qiwi with 345. Mission #2 was at 217 lv. Everything else was 230. I wonder what crazy bracket the game put me in. I struggle to do the Maggia missions - you know, those who don't bite back - and top 10 is already over 200 points. I am currently #84 with 83 points. We are talking about 200 player brackets. Are there so many with better roster? Where did the casual players go? Really weird.
  • ALRIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! 9999 HP goons that drop up to 4 CD tiles every move, I LIKE THIS. Great job there!

Agreed, the only one slapping you in the face should be your gf icon_lol.gif

Maybe we're not all psychopaths. If you enjoy this stupid, broken grind, congrats. I came in top 5 in the last sub without much effort. You grinded for hours on end with the 1 point missions to get a couple of covers. God only knows how much ISO you spent on boosts. I like the idea of opponents who get tougher, but the way they implemented it is just frickin' dumb.

I practice a proud JRPG tradition of voluntarily fighting optional überbosses that offer rewards worth far less than the time lost earning them. This event is going so well so far.

    Hrmmm...

I just noticed that main progression reward table has been significantly altered/shortened in addition to the global score unlock counter.

Items on the new Global Progression Table (after the health packs at sub-1000):
    1500 - 250 ISO
    2000 - Standard Token
    2500 - 500 ISO
    3000 - OBW Blue
    3500 - 50 Hero Points
    4000 - OBW Purple
    4500 - 250 ISO
    5000 - Bag-Man Purple
    5500 - 250 ISO
    6500 - Heroic Token
    7500 - 250 ISO
    8500 - Bag-Man Yellow
    10000 - 1000 ISO
    11500 - Heroic Token
    13000 - 250 ISO
    15000 - 50 Hero Points
    17500 - 1000 ISO
    20000 - Patch Red

Pretty sure Patch Red was at 35000 yesterday. Both Hero Point rewards by 15000? I would almost want to assert that the devs at this point are expecting players to have to sit out days to allow the cooldown on mob levels...
  • Patch is only powerful because his strike tiles are incorrectly credited to you instead of the other side. If they're shared 50/50 like they're supposed to, you'd probably die in 3 turns after you used Berserker Rage if the other side isn't dead by then. I don't see him being exceptionally more powerful than Wolverine 2* if not for the bug. In fact, if his strike tiles are correctly counting against you, I'd definitely use Wolverine 2* instead if there's a choice.

The difficulty of these missions does keep the guy ahead in check and makes it somewhat possible a casual player might compete.
