I think the toss-up is between Yellow Week and First Cover Week. It could be either - but I'm assuming we'll get confirmation of that when Mohawk's turn comes up. Where Black Panther, Classic Magneto, Luke Cage and Rocket'n'Groot all have yellow as their first cover, Mohawk has green as the first, yellow as the second. Either way it's cool with me. Extra Iso helps.
For the two I need covers for, either one works fine. And if I can pull a black Luke Cage cover in addition, I'll have him finished, cover-wise, but that may be setting my hopes a little high.
my 0/4/4 R&G fully supports the idea of a yellow week.
cage yellow and storm yellow also welcome.0 -
I know this is probably true, but can anyone confirm that the same roster restrictions are in place for the nodes today?0
-
Although I miss a blue CMags to respec as 3/5/5, the reward today was yellow CMags so I played mostly for the ISO and the fun. Overall, it was fun and I wouldn't mind the event being a little longer because it was fun. Heroes I used include OBW (whenever I could) and added Patch, LThor, Thor, Juggernaut and a couple more.
The next thing they should do to help players, is lower the cost of additional slots. In the long-term it will help the company as well, because with a fixed cost of 400HP players will most likely keep expanding their roster indefinitely. I am sitting at 44/44 and the cost for the next slot is 600HP. I really doubt I will buy another slot if the cost doesn't drop. I have already started ditching 3* heroes, although the next one will probably be Moonstone, followed by LStorm.0 -
As a freemium player, as well as someone who has played MPQ for about 6 months, I loooooove events like this. Bravo, design team!
I was beyond geeked to see that I could win Black Panther, someone who I had three covers for, but no events lately to get more. But getting Magneto as well (actually two, since I got the power in my first taco token), was just the cherry on top!
*LOL, as I type this, I got the Cyclops power from a Enemy Gold Token! Now I have one each of his power. At least until I hit 40k in the Enemy event anyway.0 -
Maybe the original post can be updated each day with which covers were already given out, that way if we slip into a coma and miss a day, we can either kick ourselves for having missed it, or be aware so we aren't hoping for it in the future when it already passed.
For example, I drew my very first BP cover today, it was his black cover. I didn't play the full event yesterday because I didn't have him, so if I hadn't looked close enough to see the reward was his Yellow cover, I may be hoping for it to show up again... when in all likelihood it won't show up again for a long time.
Just a thought.
BUT I LOVE THIS DAILY EVENT!!0 -
I love this event too. Whoever came up with this one is a genius; it doesn't feel frustrating like VS, and it doesn't feel grindy like the PvE events. A good source of ISO, and if you're lucky with tokens, Hero Points. And I can finally get my characters up to fighting strength, instead of only being partially covered. This event is the most fun I've had with MPQ in some time!0
-
I was thinking of keeping some 1* characters over lvl1, but I think I'll just keep a thor green or a windstorm TUs around.0
-
Really liking this addition. Relatively easy covers + ISO = win for players0

I guess they are doing the top covers for everyone. Same as the Daily Reward. Good news is they have to cycle back in about a month. Hope they change the cover reward then.
I'll take 100,000 3*Mag covers cuz that means I'm getting a Mag cover instead of it being locked away, never given out for no reason.

Got a BP from a taco, therefore this event gets my seal of approval(as if it didn't already have it)!0 -
Dear God. Squirrel Girl and Captain Marvel are crushing me. I'm trying to get through the last node running OBW, Thor**, and X-Force. I'm holding back on Thor to try to save up AP, but that second wave is damn tough to take out. Any suggestions?!
Edit: Thor and OBW are 94. X-Force is 93.0 -
That last node is pretty evil. For the BP token I was barely able to beat it with Ares (Lvl 78), Luke Cage (Lvl 85) and OBW (Lvl 75). OBW is pretty much essential to have for that node and it helped that for the 3rd wave only the Mafia Don was left, so I took my time and just collected enough AP for my nukes to one-shot the last wave.
Unfortunately I can't speak for the current event, as I'm missing Magneto. Do the enemies change every day?0 -

I used 2*Thor, OBW, and undercovered Falcon.
Built up AP during 1st wave, tried to steal as much as I could, and I attacked Squirrel Girl first because she had enough AP already built up to use her Green. She threw it out there, but I focused on her, and stealing away the rest of the AP, and extending her tiles with OBW so they don't disappear and smash me. Fortunately Psylocke was using her Red instead of Ms Marvel, so I took her out next, and had enough AP to beat Marvel to death in a couple specials. Once they are done, those goons are a relief. I don't even remember who was the 4th wave because I built up AP during the 3rd wave stealing AP from the enemies so the 4th wave started pretty dry, then I just specialed everyone to death, I think it was Magneto first, Fury 2nd and I did Steve Rogers last.
I liked it, I didn't get to do it yesterday since I didn't have BP. This will be fun. I pulled a BP today from the Taco Token... lol.
Edit: had to look up who I actually fought... fixed it.0 -

I'm having the same issue. I don't have X-Force Wolvie, so I'm using my highest leveled character, level 140 Patch (Steve Rodgers is benched), level 94 2 star Thor and have been trying my level 114 Hulk or level 104 Doom to no avail.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: I DID IT! I used my woefully underpowered Falcon, threw out some protect tiles after I bumped off Squirrel Girl and was on my way.0 -
OBW/2* Thor/Classic Storm
Try to bank Wind Storm & Call the Storm for the character wave. Wind Storm first to stun 1st opponent, swap stunned to back. Then hit them with call the storm. That "should" take out one of the opponents and you still have someone stunned for 3 more turns to concentrate on the the weakened 3rd.
I think I stunned Marvel. Then blasted Squirrel Girl0 -
Thanks everyone! My Falcon has only one cover. Instead I went with my lvl 55 2/2/1 Blade. Perfect. Between his strike tiles and AP stealing I had everything under control the entire time!0

I'm with you there, I finally pulled a yellow to put my R&G all the way up to 1/5/5. Don't need any BP or Storm - I'm hoping the yellow Mags means yellow Groot incoming.
If not, the Mags was a horrific random or terrible choice reward, as it was just in events. The "what 5 covers do you want" had red CMags as a top request, and blue close behind.0 -
For those who are having problems with survival mode, a strategy I try to use as much as possible is to kill the last guy in a wave with one of my character's abilities or by matching 5 colors so that I can still retain my turn when the next wave comes in. This helps a lot especially when the next wave contains non-goon characters. With all the AP that goons generate, it could spell disaster if as soon as the next wave comes in, they start using their hero abilities.
For example, using LazyThor, I like to kill the last guy in a wave with his Red ability while having saved up enough green AP. Then when the next wave comes in, I can Call the Storm and possibly kill two of those in that wave even before they get a chance to do anything.0 -
Barely completed that last node with a my lvl 75 Ares/2*Daken & lvl 70 OBW.
Iso boosted all colors and was fortunate enough that the goons didn't generate enough AP for the last batch of heroes..but enough that Steve SSA my nearly dead Ares who had sundered him and OBW had limped into the last 2 waves due to Captain Marvel's red generation/blasts and enough lacking blue tiles on the board to keep healing.
Even more fortunate was that I had 3 strike tiles already out, matched a green to get one more and had enough blue left over from the 3rd wave to launch Chemical Reaction to bring him down.0
