Deadpool's Daily Quest

The greatest thing about this event is that I can try it again tomorrow.0

This sounds a bit too easy for a guaranteed 3* though 3*s are no longer as valuable as they used to be so I guess it sort of works out. Seems like a solid template for the transition guys. Let's hope they have plan to extend that elsewhere for challenging and non competitive PvE content.0

Love it.

Lots of fun great event! Keep the tacos coming. 2 thumbs up!!0

I love it!
As a transition player with highest level 3*s at 114 (plus X-Force at 115), this is a great way to get some more coveted covers.
I also enjoy survival nodes, so having those is an added bonus - and the whole enchilada felt properly balanced for using a maxed out 2* team which fits nicely with the whole point of this game mode - helping speed up the transition from 2* to 3* land!0 -
I did not realize I did not have to use the required character in the big enchilada. My poor BP is only L110 or so, but I still managed to get to wave 4 with him and Xforce/lDaken.
Kind of wondering who I want to throw in there instead of him, though. Original BW could help with the goons and with some temp healing, but lThor could do more damage, choices, choices.
Really fun event, though. It was nice to be able to use my 1- and 2-stars again.0 -
GrimSkald wrote:Since noone else has posted this, I'll make a post on the format. I don't know if this is going to be the format every day, I suspect that will be the case, but this is the first day's format.
There are five nodes, the first three are in a line, the last two are in a line.
That Guy from That Place - characters only! First day, Level 15 Storm, 2 level 10 "Criterions." I only have three left and they stopped me from using my MStorm, but I was able to clear it fairly easily with my 40 Juggs and 20ish MBW. Award is 500 iso
Under the Sea - and allowed. Two waves, first wave three goons, second wave featured CMags and three goons. Not a very high level CMags, though. I have plenty of characters so didn't have too much trouble. Was fun! Award is a Taco Token.
Third Times the Charm - only. I got CMags 70, Deadpool 74, and Patch 71. Award was 1000 Iso.
Dat Required Character - Normal Essential character mission, first day was . Opponents were Moonstone 60, Ms. Marvel 64, and AWolvie 63. Award - another taco token(!)
The Big Enchilada - 4 Waves, Level Range 99-132. It restricted the following characters due to them being in the waves: . Incidentally, this restriction should be lifted with the next patch, probably for just this reason.
Wave 1 - Hitman 100, Brawler 105, Thug 99
Wave 2 - 112 111 110
Wave 3 - Muscle 122, Defender 121, Maggia Don 120
Wave 4 - 130 131 132
The award for completing the node is the daily 3* cover, first day it was .
For completing all the nodes you get 2000 Iso as a progression award.
I brought Blade, Falcon, and X-force to the last node. I made some early missteps that got Blade all banged up, but once I got some momentum going I had enough strike and protect tiles to down anything through match damage. The last wave came in guns blazing (since they had all that mana from the goons,) but see previous note about protect tiles. That, and I had enough green for two X-Forces saved up. Made short work of them.
That was a lot of fun! They may tweak the difficulty up for better rosters, though. Speaking for myself, I have a 51 character roster, the highest level is a 5/4/4 X-Force at 179. I do have 8 fully leveled fully covered 3*s, though. I have 5 max 2*s left, and 2 (Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel) max covered but under leveled.
I think I'm going to have to bring my 2* stragglers up. I may add another 1* to my roster, too. The restrictions make it fun to play, but I hope they do something about the cost of roster slots...
Levels seem identical, have a lvl 94 roster.0 -
Best thing MPQ has ever done for the 2* -> 3* transition! Daily fun event, one-time nodes (so no grinding), a chance to win a guaranteed 3* every day rather than play a 7 day event for placement. Bravo D3!!0

This was fun, fun fun.
Beat the last node with MNMags, OBW, and **Thor. OBW tanked Mags' purple for the extra hit, which allowed me to build up tons of blue. All the extra blue meant goons' timers never hit zero and I could build up Thor's green so when the last wave came, it was all Call the Storm until they were all dead.0 -
This is fun. Level 40 Juggs flying solo vs cStorm and two goons. Not often you get to go 1 on 3. Even less often you have a massive advantage doing so. Barely a scratch.0

Easy is a bit of a stretch. I don't see most transitioners clearing that survival node with anything resembling ease.
I saved up for 2 Lazy thor Call the Storms and cleared the non-goon waves in a single round, but especially with She-Hulk coming out and - without any chance for player reaction - casting reprieve on one of your AP pools, someone with a limited heavy-hitting power pool would be in a bind really quickly.0 -
Absolutely loved this event for all the reasons mentioned. It was so refreshing having to play with 1*s again. The survival nodes were fun because you had to think strategy more than brute force, and was appropriately scaled so they weren't overly frustrating.
For anyone interested on my strategy, I used maxed out tinydaken, OBW and LThor for the big enchilada survival node. If you have a deep roster, look at who is locked out to give yourself a heads up at what non goons are going to be in the waves and choose accordingly. I used the goon waves to stockpile as much AP as I could and used OBW to counteract countdown tiles. I tried to win goon waves through battle damage only (easily done with pheromone rage and espionage) but remembered to down the last goon with an AP ability so I still had the first turn on the next wave.
Before doing anything on the non goon wave, I checked the AI's AP pile and figured what the next AI move was most likely to be and used Aggressive Recon to delay the inevitable if needed. I then hit up the AI team with my AP power plays until they were defeated. Repeat for wave 3 & 4. With this strategy I ended the node with enough spare AP to pull off another 6-7 abilities. Of course a lucky board helps tremendously, but so does the ability to know which target to prioritise downing first, which in survival node can be make or break.0 -
Somebody might have pointed this out already, but does anybody know if starting with Black Panther means they're going to go in alphabetical order for cover releases? Does this mean Blade will be next tomorrow?0

Easy is hardly a stretch (though I don't think it needs to be any harder). I finished everything with Storm/Magneto without Boosts. I imagine Wolverine/Daken could do it too, but it would probably take longer. oBW could probably do it with anyone, because of her denial.0 -

Maybe we can get a Weekly/Monthly quest for a 4* cover?0 -

U don't need BP for last node, only penultimate node.eidehua wrote:Fievel wrote:Somebody might have pointed this out already, but does anybody know if starting with Black Panther means they're going to go in alphabetical order for cover releases? Does this mean Blade will be next tomorrow?

Monthly 4* cover is in PVP. All jokes aside, I'm not even worried about 4* things....so many players like me just need to get out of 2* land0 -

I have a full roster -- collector's mentality -- so the * and ** nodes weren't much of a problem. Used Juggs/Iron Man/BW for the * and Thor/OBW/CStorm for the **. When the PCs came out in the final round of in the survival node, I had enough ap for Windstorm and CTS. Boom, game over.
For the Essential, I used Panther, LDaken, and Deadpool, then I swapped Patch out for DP for the final node. Didn't really have a problem with any of them. Of course, the guys I chose are all 12 or 13 covers and around level 120-130, so this event was perfect for me.
I didn't need the BP Yellow (need one more Black for him), but my first Taco Token gave me 1000 HP! This plus all the iso means it was time well spent.0 -
I'm so happy with this whole thing. Thanks D3 & DP for making this happen. Things like this put the fun back into the game and make me want to keep playing. (Didn't hurt that my was one yellow cover short of a full 5.)
