Since noone else has posted this, I'll make a post on the format. I don't know if this is going to be the format every day, I suspect that will be the case, but this is the first day's format.

There are five nodes, the first three are in a line, the last two are in a line.

That Guy from That Place - star.png characters only! First day, Level 15 Storm, 2 level 10 "Criterions." I only have three star.png left and they stopped me from using my MStorm, but I was able to clear it fairly easily with my 40 Juggs and 20ish MBW. Award is 500 iso

Under the Sea - star.png and star.pngstar.png allowed. Two waves, first wave three goons, second wave featured CMags and three goons. Not a very high level CMags, though. I have plenty of star.pngstar.png characters so didn't have too much trouble. Was fun! Award is a Taco Token.

Third Times the Charm - star.pngstar.png only. I got CMags 70, Deadpool 74, and Patch 71. Award was 1000 Iso.

Dat Required Character - Normal Essential character mission, first day was icon_blackpanther.png. Opponents were Moonstone 60, Ms. Marvel 64, and AWolvie 63. Award - another taco token(!)

The Big Enchilada - 4 Waves, Level Range 99-132. It restricted the following characters due to them being in the waves: icon_hood.pngicon_deadpool.pngicon_doctordoom.pngicon_shehulk.pngicon_daredevil.pngicon_beast.png . Incidentally, this restriction should be lifted with the next patch, probably for just this reason.

    Wave 1 - Hitman 100, Brawler 105, Thug 99

    Wave 2 - icon_shehulk.png 112 icon_daredevil.png 111 icon_beast.png 110

    Wave 3 - Muscle 122, Defender 121, Maggia Don 120

    Wave 4 - icon_hood.png 130 icon_deadpool.png 131 icon_doctordoom.png 132

The award for completing the node is the daily 3* cover, first day it was icon_blackpanther.pngyellowflag.png.

For completing all the nodes you get 2000 Iso as a progression award.

I brought Blade, Falcon, and X-force to the last node. I made some early missteps that got Blade all banged up, but once I got some momentum going I had enough strike and protect tiles to down anything through match damage. The last wave came in guns blazing (since they had all that mana from the goons,) but see previous note about protect tiles. That, and I had enough green for two X-Forces saved up. Made short work of them.

That was a lot of fun! They may tweak the difficulty up for better rosters, though. Speaking for myself, I have a 51 character roster, the highest level is a 5/4/4 X-Force at 179. I do have 8 fully leveled fully covered 3*s, though. I have 5 max 2*s left, and 2 (Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel) max covered but under leveled.

I think I'm going to have to bring my 2* stragglers up. I may add another 1* to my roster, too. The restrictions make it fun to play, but I hope they do something about the cost of roster slots... icon_e_smile.gif

    Really nice daily quest icon_e_smile.gif
If you can do all the nodes you get
    3.5k Iso
    3* cover
    2 taco tokens

I suspect that having 250/1000 HP available as possible pulls from taco tokens is meant to take the sting out of roster spots somewhat. Especially in conjunction with increasing the Shield Resupply HP. Of course there needs to be resource scarcity to encourage spending, but it feels like HP is more available now than it's ever been.

Really enjoyed day 1 of deadpool's daily. Was verty surprised to have Black Panther as the first reward (which is nice because mine was sitting there at 2/2/1).
I don't have a 1* cover on my roster right now so I couldn't do the 1* only node. Used my SHIELD team of Thor-Daken-Tiny Torch for the next 2 nodes. Essential node I went Ares-Panther(required)-oBW for an easier clear. Used MNMags-C.Storm-oBW for the final survival. Just saved up blue until I faced non-goons, blew them up, cleared it w/o any hassle.
Pulled Moonstone and oBW with my 2 Taco tokens :[

Lots of fun, looking forward to doing this every day
  • Ouch, guess that last node was meant for a maxed out 2* squad
  • Can we save taco tokens? Cash in 10 at the end of the week?
  • I also should comment that yes, the last node was tough, but as someone with a deep roster yet is still transition(from my understanding, the target audience of this event) it's doable. I cheesed my way thru with MagStorm but if I had to I could take 3*Steve/Falcon/anyone and probably do it. It was pretty amusing seeing Beast try to greenflag.png me dead, though.

I think you'd be even able to save taco token for next week, and use them if you like next week's changed 3 stars in the pack, like how it's worked with hoarding previous event tokens.

I'm guessing the levels are stagnant for everyone because I have maxed star.pngstar.png and got the same levels as GrimSkald.

Overall, it was fun! That being said, in the scenario I actually get to play for the star.pngstar.pngstar.png cover looks like OBW will be a must for my team.

Trouble is they introduce a new character every two weeks - since the cost of the slots goes up every 4 you buy, sooner or later you won't be able to keep up. At least if you want to keep all the new characters. Speaking for myself, I like to keep characters - I've got everyone 3* and up but Star Lord at this point, and if I get Star Lord I'll probably get a slot for him. Either that are regretfully terminate more of my 2*s...

To be fair, I'm looking fairly far in the future. I haven't spent money on the game since the last HP sale in... November or December, was it? I don't mind dumping $20 for HP on the game every few months. Still, it would be nice to be able to occassionally spend HP on a cover rather than constantly saving it for Roster Slots.

Oh! I bet you're right! I bet the next lot will be icon_lukecage.pngicon_magneto.pngicon_rocket.pngicon_storm.png , possibly even in that order. Then they'll change the token probabilities to reflect the new characters. Also, that takes us through Sunday. I wonder if in the future they'll have seven featured characters...

I also suspect they will do one cover for one character a day, then move on to the next character. That gets a good distribution going. Pity, though, 'cause I need BP blackflag.png .

    Anyone?
  • Two taco tokens, two rocket and groot (green and yellow). I'm ok with this

Since I didn't need the cover, I was willing to sacrifice FOR SCIENCE!

Went in with 1* team, retreated immediately - able to repeat.
Went in with TEAM TRUE HEAL (tm) (that is: Patch/Lazy Daken/Rocket & Groot): beat first wave, retreated. Points logged, was able to repeat.

Looks like you can keep doing it until you win.

Yes. I wiped on the last wave, can still go through again. I wonder if it's worth doing this deliberately (if we get taco points each wave, just keep doing this and saving the points)

Interestingly, it seems like the AI is already working with the R71 change that allows any character in a survival node regardless of duplicates. Doom/DP/Hood hit me with a Twin Pistols team-up.

Scratch that, points aren't awarded for the waves you completed. Also there's no point deliberately losing, once at the points goal there's nothing more
  • All of this weeks characters have a yellow skill. Wonder if this will be yellow week?

Used up all my health packs in PvP and happens that most of my 2* roster is down so I only managed to finish a few nodes except the last two.
    2 x Taco Tokens = 500 Iso.
And my streak of no gold for event tokens continues.
Aside from that a big thumbs up for this!
