Yeah you got to completely exit out of the app and join if you want to connect immediately.

The packs always tell the tale of who is featured. Daredevil, Hood, Punisher.

You can also look at the Event Rules tab from the rewards or leaderboard screens. In the gauntlet, every boosted 3* will have at least a few essential fights.

Thanks orbitalint. I joined the new bracket (first sub) at 493, and was able to blitz it and get 4th.

The top ten of this bracket are now set, but it's only at 2725 people, so don't join now if you want a shot at top ten in the first sub. I'll try and post when it's full, if I'm around.

Managed to finish 5th in my bracket on the first part of the gauntlet, blitzed the regular levels and was sitting in 1st, then realised i needed DD who i didn't have. I checked my covers that were waiting and i had a DD cover about to expire in one day, so i sold my level 40 yelena, recruited DD and got through the final levels in time. It was really fun and it will be my first ever 10 pack reward so i'm pretty excited

Now on the second level of the 2nd part of the gauntlet, Gamora and the two muscle. They've just kicked my **** twice in a row, absolutely no mercy. Guess i'll retry tomorrow once my health packs have restored

So are you bracketed for all 3 when you join the first, or does it not slot you until you finish the first node of each? I just finished the second sub (in 28th, not bad) but I was thinking about waiting until tomorrow to start the third, so all my characters and health packs can regen fully.

it looks like its to the old bracketing system - you aren't entered until you do the first node of a sub.

Also, I just realized if you look at the top 10 of a sub and their score matches top progression, that means there's no more top 10 prizes left. Which just happened to me. Joy....

I just slogged my way through this and got ranked somewhere in the 4000s for the first gauntlet. Suffice to say, the next two are going to be so far out of my league, it isn't even worth trying.
Looks like a quiet week on the playing front!

Anyone discussing strategy or opponents or particularly difficult nodes/fights? Speed running seems to have taken the discussion of strategy out of this gauntlet. Anything particularly hairy in the the third set? Any good character combos? I'm finding the featured characters somewhat non-synergistic, personally. Running Xforce/Hood/MnMag or LCap (depending on return from SS) seems a bit unexciting, even if that's the boost option right there. I find that boosted Hood is in a lot of ways a detriment. I'm only 2/1/1 with DD, or maybe he'd be my go-to with his stunning.

My covered Punisher just seems to take a beating here, but I've had some limited luck with Punisher/MnMag/LCap (for the stun). I'm still in the first set, though, so I don't know how that kind of cobbled together group will be going on.

P.s. whoever the idiot is who devised loki's ap robbing power when you match 4 tiles can report to the nearest fire and die in it.

So I didn't have time to play last night and decided to give it a shot this morning, without even checking bracket status first. I got lucky and entered a fairly new one as 500th, where the leaders looked to be 6 or 7 fights ahead of me. I fight my way through all the non-essential nodes, see top 10 is already locked up and figure I will try my luck at the second sub since I still have all my healthpacks and my team is in good shape.

I did my first fight in the second bracket and found myself in the bracket where you had gotten 9th place like 8 hours earlier. Alas, no 10pack for me.

So people, beware: I can confirm the Gauntlet is still using the old bracketing system, where you only join a bracket after you do the first fight in a sub. The bracket I joined was old and isn't even halfway filled yet, so don't join the second bracket if you want to have a shot at the 10pack!
