Lol. Nice title. This is going to be a bloodbath for the first ten to complete a sub. Shiny ten pack to anyone that does. Fresh brackets are everything in this one...

Looks like it only pops up after your PVE is done.

2nd node 3538: green punisher (final reward)
3rd node 2644: yellow hood, 5218: purple deadpool (final reward)

    Each node has brackets:
    1-10: 10 pack!
11-10000 (yeah, 10K brackets): Standard token!

10k brackets could even mean bracketless (?)

Oh jeez. I didn't think about that. Thanks d3, you are letting out 200 ten packs. I thought I had a shot of it was limited to 1000 person brackets.

Not sure that the rarity rank is the case. Normal Gauntlet tokens are marked with 2-stars, and Heroic & Heroic 10-pack are both marked as 2-stars.
  • I'm pretty curious about these 10 packs. I assume it's one guaranteed 3* like they used to be. How many people actually play these? Will there even be more than one bracket?

3 stars on (competitive) token graphics for me.

I see that too, but I mean that I think the graphic is implying incorrectly that it is a 10-pack of Rare characters when it really is just going to be a 10-pack of normal Gauntlet tokens. Maybe because event tokens are considered more valuable than heroic tokens? Either way, a confirmation from a dev over in the General Discussion board would be nice.

A little cruel. Would it have been too much to just let everyone who completed the gauntlet to get one 3* token as well instead of 100 iso? Odds are it would be 500 iso anyway.
  • Don't need any of the covers - I might try the sprint on the easy one when it opens up, but I"ll probably just take this week really easy.

Event tokens reserved only for the top ten finishers over a 10k players bracket? It doesn't seem very generous, does it?
Moreover it will be a speed contest to be among these happy ten!! icon_eek.gificon_eek.gif

Beside I would be very happy with a purpletile.pngicon_deadpool.png and I will work for it! icon_e_biggrin.gif

I like competitive events. It's part of the reason I play this game to begin with. A competitive gauntlet ruins the point of the gauntlet for me. I understand there are a few 3* guaranteed for completing nodes and I'm not forced to compete for placement but I liked the fact that previously all rewards could be achieved while playing somewhat leisurely.

I am utterly unimpressed with this move. They took the one PVE event, hailed by almost all players as the way PVE should be due to it's non-competitive nature, and placed a competitive element to it (albeit a small one). Extremely disappointed with this move D3.

    Two thumbs down.

Event starts in the middle of night for me and there is no way to choose starting/ending time. Not that I would have gotten top 10 anyway I feel. Even less so if starlord is in an essential node.

Starts at dinner time for me. As much as I'd love to push for it, no chance I can. Seems odd to make this move and not offer time slices so people can make earnest runs on it.

Oh well. At least I can get an elusive Punisher green.
  • I'm not sure if it's really worth trying for the top 10 prize. I don't consider myself one of the top 10 players in the world and I'll be coming off of the end of the R&G event, so the headache it may cause to try to step up for that may not be worth it, IMO.

Plus you know it will likely be the same 10 people for each of the three stages, first to get into the 2nd stage gets the 1st stage prize and a head start for the 2nd, repeat for stage 3. Meh, not well planned, IMO.

I'll just take the Silver token + 100 ISO consolation prize and enjoy the rest of my life.

You still can get all the rewards they offered previously, so I say just ignore the top 10 and play it like you've enjoyed it in the past. I know I will.

Top 10 get a 10-pack. The rest get ****. Heaping piles of ****. Do you like how that **** tastes? icon_twisted.gif

Who the hell thought this was a good reward tier?

I already have the 3* covers offered along the gauntlet's progression. So they give me nothing except 500 iso from selling.

And this reward tier is a slap in the face.

Followed by a spoonful of ****.

Essentials will likely be Daredevil, Punisher and Hood based on the rewards list. Deadpool will be essential in the next PvE.
